((Ok, this is going to be a 'chopped' thread. The MISSION thread is a place to post once or twice, get a response and move on. The posts here pertain ONLY to Liza... so therefor all (5 at this point in time) pages of assignments won't be posted...thanks))

ASSIGNMENT #1
04-18-2011, 01:07 AM (post #34)
Liza
Alizabeth straightened her button down jacket and glanced one final time at her reflection in the long window before heading into the building. She was getting her first assignment and wanted to make a good impression. As she walked down the corridor she nodded and smiled at the few people she met, including the woman who had thumb printed her at the end of her interview with Evan Mathews. Nearing Mr. Channel's door, she heard voices. Not wishing to intrude, she nodded from the doorway to catch Mr. Channel's eyes and see that the voice belonged to Mr. Mathews. She then passed the door and stopped to gaze at a picture on the wall as they finished their conversation.

Trey Channel
Trey looked past all that had come in and those that he had been conversing with. He saw an attractive young intern waiting to talk to him. His eyes danced across the datapad he held until he saw her picture. A new recruit. Alizabeth Moroveston.
"Miss Moroveston...feel free to speak up immediately..."

She heard her name called and turned stepping into Mr Channel's office. "Mr. Channel, I am Alizabeth Moroveston. Thank you for a moment of your time." She stood close to the desk but didn't take a seat. Assignments weren't a time for chat. If he wanted to ask her to stay, he would.
"I have come to ask for an assignment. I have aspirations to serve within the Senate so I wish to start with a Peace broker assignment. I believe that is what Senators are, are they not? Peace makers between planets, systems, cities and even other Ambassaders. I hope this is not an odd request for a first assignment." She watched his reaction as her periphery took in his office.
This office, unlike Mr Mathews, was deifinitely stamped with the man's image. Everywhere were small things that made you realize this office had a personality. She focused back on mr Channel and waited his response.

"Greetings Miss Moroveston," replied the Chief of State. He listened carefully to her request and then pondered her words.
"Peace broker's do well in this game...but there is another opportunity that I think you may consider...to bring the people of the world of Druckenwell into the brotherhood of the Republic..it will involve a great deal of political nous and willingness to work in a zone of operations that could be still considered an active war zone...factions of insurgents, pirate operations...and imperial operatives are likely to be thick. How do you feel about that?"

She smiled slyly with the thought and nodded. "Sounds like I am your brother," then nodded more seriously, "or should I say, sister? What are the details?" She slid her com from her jacket pocket and keyed it to actively accept files rather than simply 'listen'. It was always on in her jacket or pocket. One never knew at the end of the day what they may have missed. And in a training scenario, which her entire life was now, there was no time for note taking.
After flicking the switch, which would just seem like turning it on, she looked at him waiting. "What else do I need to know? And how publicly secret are we keeping this? From the masses off Drunkenwell I mean."
She watched his reactions and hoped her quick acceptance of it didn't seem overly forward.
