Alizabeth woke and felt restless. She never got up this early. Maybe the prospect of finding the reporter and speaking to miss Alexandra had her wound up more than she thought.
Having heard of the gym beneath the complex, she headed there to work out. Maybe taking the edge off her fidgetting would help her perform better today.
She arrived in the gym, tossed her towel over the wall railing nearest her workout station and settled into one of the leg machines. She would be doing plenty of walking in Drunkenwell, she would need to get warmed up. Running in haste, followed or pursued or even running away was easy. Doing the walking, fast paced or slow, for extended periods of time, over different terrains... that was something completely different.
She absently noted those around her and was grateful that her sweatpants, regardless of being unflattering, had aplace for her recorder. Never one to ever go anywhere without it, she had it on and ready for anything she could learn. Workouts, cantinas, even the mass transits... people talked about very private things when in crowds. The image of anonimity was often misleading. She knew better... but she hoped many others around here didn't.
She began her paces... left leg, right leg, both legs... over and over as she hummed softly to some unknown tune in her mind and contemplated how she was going to find appropriate attire for the Ball with Evan.

Alexandra Darksun
Stepping off the treadmill dressed in a black sport bra and matching workout shorts, Alexandra grabbed a hand towel nearby and dabbed the light sheen of sweat off her face, then took a long sip from her water bottle. Usually the Commander of the NR Starfighter Corps would run ten miles or so on the beach at sunrise near her house in Blue Bay, but due to the unrelenting rain showers of late, she was forced to go indoors for her aerobic workout. Excercing helped to reduce the stress load that Darksun was under theses days, expecially given her recent divorce and separation from her daughter, and being given full command of Operation Restore, which was the second phase, and hopefully the last, of the Liberation of Druckenwell, by the CoS.
The brandy-eyed brunette made her way over to the weight area and picked up two dumb bells, then sat down on a bench. As she began to do a set of bicep curls, the commander noticed another brunette working out on one of the leg machines that looked familair somehow... Of course, she was the envoy from the Diplomatic Corps that would be accompanying her on the Druckenwell mission. Finishing up her arm workout, the long-legged Taanabian walked over to where the woman was doing leg presses.
"Intern Moroveston? I'm Commander Darksun. Seems you and I are going to be working together on an upcoming mission. How about I buy you a caf when you're done with your workout, then we can discuss particulars up in my office?" Alexandra smiled, extending her hand in greeting.

Alizabeth smiled. She nodded to the woman as she introduced herself. Wiping her hands on her sweats before shaking hands with Alexa, she smiled and suddenly felt very self conscious. "I would like that. But if I may," she laughed softly, "I think I would like a shower first." The smile brightened. A caf with the woman she had planned to hunt down later that day was the perfect way to begin. "Perhaps an hour from now? Name the place. I will be there." She relaxed back in the leg press chair and smiled. She would definitely have to not wear sweats to the meeting. This woman was refined, military or not. She knew that beside her, despite her best efforts and the woman probably being up to her elbows in Drunkenwell mud and muck, she would still somehow fall short.

Alexa
"Sounds good, Miss Moroveston. How about Mojo's Espresso Bar across from the entrance to the base on Thani Boulevard. I'll see you then," Alexandra smiled with a nod, then went back to using the free weights across the room. She wondered if the young woman had what it took to achieve what the Republic needed diplomatically on Druckenwell. Hopefully Channel's insight would pay off.
After finishing her morning workout, Alex hit the showers to get ready for the long work day ahead of her that would take her well into the evening once again. The rain had stopped, but there was a chill in the moist air as she walked over to Mojo's, her favorite caf house. The brandy-eyed brunette straightened down the collar on the trench coat she was wearing over her navy uniform, then stood in line to order as she waited for the intern to meet her.

Alizabeth agreed and went back to her own workout. She left a bit after Alexa and showered quickly. Hurrying to the cafe she entered just as Alexa was one step from ordering. Grateful no one else was in line, she stepped up behind Darksun and coughed so as not to startle her. "Morning... So what do you recommend? I am in the mood for something warm and chocolate myself." She smiled and shivered slightly as the warmer air of the cafe blew away the chill settling on her from outside.
She looked around to see if there was a pair of chairs slightly out of the way of the small crowd where they could talk in relative seclusion.
