Liza
Liz stepped into the empty firing range and smiled. This was more her style. She always wanted to be proficient in weaponry but had never done more than a bit of target shooting when she was on a vacation with friends before graduating. If she had gone to Higher Education she would have taken a class. But she chose to skip it and come straight to the Senate. No point in wasting time when she could get straight into the fray. Trouble is... now she was going into the 'fray', so to speak, and was not as prepared as she let everyone believe.
She had the clipboard on her lap as she sat on the bench with her glasses and earplugs on the bench beside her. When Masor arrived they would discuss weapons and what she would carry. For now she worked on her paperwork. Reading up on the Drunkenwell progress thus far and how she would be involved in the final steps before they were officially in the Republic, were just part of it. She still had to deal with getting the reporter and some more intel. She just hoped she would be meeting with Alexa soon. She was sure things would be happening swiftly and it would be embarrassing to be left behind.
When Masor arrived she would be on the bench in the far corner. Booted feet crossed as she leaned back and read her datapad. The ever present recorder hidden safely in her pocket. The weapon fire would be interesting to hear recorded, but the rest of what it picked up today would be far more valuable and interesting. Her long legs were clad in tight black denim and her top was sensible for the range. A long sleeve shirt with high collar. She also had a vest on the ground at her feet. It wasn't necessary, but the vest was shoulder padded in case she had to handle something with more kick than a pistol. She had often heard of arms and shoulders aching after firing range practice and didn't want to end up that way. Her stylus ticked here and there as she tapped out notes while reading.
Her morning meeting with Tal and her afternoon scrap with Adam had proved interesting. She hoped this meeting was as enlightening. She would never shoot and tell, so Masor would not get any info from her about the other two just as they wouldn't know how he did. She knew they would talk amongst themselves. She was sure of it. Afterall, she was a Senate Intern taking on something ridiculous... her first assignment. She just hoped when they spoke of it, it wasn't to make fun or turn her into a joke.

Masor
A warm brisk breeze blew across Masor's face as he kept his eyes open for the surprisingly beautiful human female named Alizabeth Moroveston. He had only just recently met her in The Mirror’s Edge Cantina. He was dressed for combat, wearing his usual white armor, he was still getting used to it but he preffered to be ready for anything. Even if it was just a talk she had wanted, he wanted to give her the impression that he was there to protect first, ask questions later. He was just entering the training grounds when he caught a glimpse of her sitting alone on a bench...when an interesting queston entered his now buzzing mind, was he required to salute...
Unsure he felt that he would act instictively and salute to her either way. Slowly but casualy, he walked to her, anyone who saw him could tell he was walking to a destination for a distinct purpose.
As he neared her he immediately raised his hand in a salute, "Cadet Masor, arriving as requested", he announced as he stood to attention. It was still an unusual pose to him but customary nonetheless. Hopefully he didn't intimidate her too bad seeing as he'd be working with her in the near future...hopefully...

Liz caught Masor out of the corner of her eye soon as he stepped into the range area. He seemed nervous but held it well. Many didn't take civilian confrontation very well. Most thought it wasn't serious, others went too far towards the 'serious extreme' that they lost sight of anything else. She hoped he wouldn't go either extreme. She set her datapad down as he approached but couldn't hide the smile as he popped to attention, saluted and reported to her. “It's ok, Cadet..." Then added, "At ease, Masor...” She patted the bench beside her stuff. “Have a seat and relax a moment. We are going to do some firearms work but I want to say you can relax. Sorry you wore the uniform. Guess I should have said you could be casual. Do you want to change to something more comfortable or you want to keep the gear on?”
It probably wasn't going to surprise him that she was nice. What may surprise him was that she was sincere. She really did seem to want him to feel comfortable.

Masor
Surprisingly enough he felt relieved that she wanted him to be casual and comfortable, yet his trooper suit was enhanced and had a second layer beneath for comfort and temperature control. It was a small task for him when he first received it, but what was slightly more difficult was making it undetectable to most other censors.
No he felt more comfortable in his trooper suit than he did in civilian clothes, "No need to apologize, this is already enhanced to provide increased comfort", he replied as he hooked a finger under the edge and grasped a simple looking piece of fabric...it was the layer that he'd added. To the untrained eye it would appear to be an ordinary shirt, but to his own it looked suspicious and most people could feel the heat and vibrations emitting from it.
"So whats first, if I may ask", he inquired as he was eager to get to the inspection.

Liz smiled. The shirt did seem odd beneath the uniform but she knew better than to ask. Perhaps she would ask Tal at some time to explain the suit, but for now it wasn't important. If he wanted to remain in it, that was fine with her.
“I was thinking perhaps some target practice. What would you recommend I learn to use? I want to use something small I can carry on me. Or perhaps something you all have on you that I can use easily enough in a dire situation.” She rose from the bench, grabbed her glasses and ear muffs and nodded towards the range already set up. “I was told we could have the range to ourselves for a full hour so we can talk about anything we need to and not be overheard.”

Masor
"That is a more complicated question than you may realize, for instance drawing on my previous experiences I'd personally say that power is better than accuracy. Then again... someone, if I may be so bold, with your feminine build would prefer accuracy over the actual power", he replied as he thought to past memories of himself going through dilemma after dilemma of choosing the perfect weapon for a complicated job.
He then reached down to grasp his own blaster pistol, it was a DL-44, heavy version. "Squeeze a few rounds through that, it is meant for power and is still accurate...", he stated as he offered her the gun.
