Niesara Rh'Jod
Nisa started to move then stopped. The pain was suddenly so unbearable that she cried out. Why did she hurt? She didn't sleep wrong, never in her life. Slowly she opened her eyes before biting her lip to keep from crying out again as the whiteness was so bright the tears squeezed from her violet eyes as she squeezed them tightly shut. “I don't understand,” she whimpered softly. “What's happening to me?”
A woman's voice, soothing like warmth given sound, softly whispered from beside her. “Easy hun. It has been three days. Things are gonna move a bit slow for ya. Now, let me dim the lights.” The sound of shuffling feet on tile was followed by a dimming of the brightness that even her eyelids couldn't shut out. As her face relaxed from the pinch of tightly closing her eyes, Nisa slowly began to open them again. As she did, her surroundings began to fall into focus.
She saw white walls, long curtain covered windows, and a small table to her right. To the foot of the bed was a tray that reached over the bed, a blank vid player in the corner, a couple chairs and table. And to her left was a machine attached to the IV dripping into her arm at a slow rate. “A hospital? Why am I here?”
The woman moved from the light panel by the door to the machine and adjusted the settings till the drip was just slightly faster. “Don't you remember the accident? Poor dear. I will have someone come explain it to you.” And with that the woman disappeared swiftly leaving Nisa with no chance to call her back.
*Accident?* Her mind reeled. Then the images flooded her mind and she closed her eyes as real tears fell to her cheeks.
Her twin brother, Arbenies, her mother and father and her were heading... someplace. She didn't remember where. Last thing she could recall was a scream, several in fact, and then pain and blackness. *Arbenies.... NIES!* Her eyes shot open and her head whipped back and forth trying to find her brother in the stark white bareness of the room. But he wasn't there. The sudden movement made her head ache and her hand reached for a cup of water on the stand to her right. It was just out of reach and as her finger tips danced a few microns from the plastic desire, her fingers tingled and suddenly the cup wobbled a moment before tipping towards her and spilling. “What? It must be the meds.” She rolled back onto her back on the bed and sighed. Her finger tips were probably numb from medication and lack of use for the last few days. She made a mental note to try to remember to ask. Things like that had happened in the past. Her fingers would barely touch something just out of reach, and it would suddenly topple towards her. That had to be it... some nerve problem in her fingers. What else could it be?
***
As she contemplated what had happened a man in a suite knocked lightly on the opened door. “Ms Niesara Rh'Jod?” He slaughtered the pronunciation but had the decency to blush because he knew it. “Forgive me. I am no good with names. I am James. I know you are 18 but the authorities thought it better that someone from the Childrens' Care came to explain what happened. Have you been told anything? Or do you recall anything?” He slowly closed the door and moved towards the bed and raised an eyebrow with silent query about taking the nearby seat.
Nisa nodded and the man sat down as she cleared her throat. “I don't remember anything useful. Just that we were driving and there was an accident. Is Ni.. Arbenies, my brother, in a nearby room?” She watched his face. Something told her this man was less nervous than he let on. She could feel the calculating coldness in him and it crawled on her skin like a caress. Something wasn't right about him.
James patted her hand and seemed sympathetic. But the sincerity didn't reach his eyes... or his voice. “I am sorry. Your brother and your parents didn't survive the crash. I am so sorry.” He caressed the back of her hand and despite the lack of genuine concern, something made her begin to calm and feel almost content with his words.
Nisa began to relax a bit more and she was thinking that perhaps shock had begun to set in. “Dead? They are dead? Then I am alone...” The words weren't spoken to anyone, least of all the man beside her, but as if saying it out loud would somehow make it untrue. As she looked up into James' eyes something made her look deeper. Dark... she sensed dark... A true evil that she had sensed in the past like a dream.
“It's ok, Niesara. I am going to take the pain away. You won't have to be alone anymore.”
The words started to seem far away. What was happening? She tried to pull her hand back but something almost shadowy seemed to keep her there. It wasn't physical, yet it was. That's when it happened...
Something inside Nisa snapped into place. Like a missing circuit that lit up a house. Just as the phantom darkness pushed into her mind, the circuit closed.
But not in the way the man had wanted.
Suddenly the chair behind him slid up fast enough to knock him off balance enough to release her hand. Cleared of his touch, Nisa suddenly had a clarity she had never had before. She saw and sensed the trueness of the man before her and her rage doubled in the moment it took her to realize it. “You... you planned this. Why?” She reached out and grabbed the man's arm with a strength she didn't know she could posses. His eyes went wild when he realized she had figured him out. “It's my father... isn't it? And me? The things we can do? He warned me this may happen. He said you would come for me. You and your kind. To kill me before I could become something dangerous. Well it's too late.” Her mind was sharp, her vision clear. Still gripping his arm she sat up and slid her legs over the edge of the bed. She didn't care that the hospital gown bunched and showed more upper leg that was necessary, or probably appropriate. She didn't care that the pain and surprise on his face would slip, then seem to get the upper hand again. And she never noticed the objects that weren't overly heavy or tied down were beginning to wobble as if shaken, though she were no where near it.
“You are evil.” He said thru clenched teeth and rose slightly as if trying to press back against her invading pain and darkness. “I will see that you never harm anyone like your ancestors did.” He tried to force his power back towards her, but she was new, untrained and upset.
“Well you failed. I will get revenge. I will get revenge for the pain you caused me... that others caused me... and that has been afflicted on those who cannot help themselves. I will be a darkness that brings release. I will be a shadow that hides frailties. I will be that which the Darkness fears.” Her voice didn't rise in pitch so much as lower in depth. She rose to her feet as she twisted his arm and forced him to his knees. The IV machine teetered and fell over. The pitcher of water by the already spilled glass toppled and crashed to the floor with the sound of bouncing plastic. The chairs slid towards the bed and the rest of the room seemed to heave a huge sigh as she jerked her hand and snapped his wrist. Her mind pressed into his as her words assailed his ears. “I will be the end.”
The final thrust of rage that left her body exploded small blood vessels in the man's head. He didn't even have time to scream before he collapsed. She cried out in pain as the radiating result pulsed from her like a wave and slammed everything backwards till stopped by walls, doors or windows. The chairs hit the wall, the table wobbled then righted itself, too heavy to topple, and the other objects in the room, save the large heavy medical bed, moved from a foot to the far reaches of the room depending on its weight. The door was shoved hard enough to press beyond its limit. Anyone trying to get in wouldn't do so easily. As she released the man's hand, her own release came. She screamed once more in pain from the uncontrolled release and passed out as her body crumpled to the floor half covering the man beneath her.

Nurse Kim came back with the hospital guard and frowned seeing the door closed. No one was supposed to leave the girl alone. When the two of them were about ten paces from the door, a pulse crashed over them like a wave of heated air. The light outside the girl's room flicked and the file holder by the door shook a moment then everything went still. Rushing to the door it took the officer two good full shouldered shoves to unstick the door. Nisa lay on the floor as if tripping trying to get up out of bed. The man beneath her, dead to the touch, was unknown to either of the two onlookers. Kim looked to the guard and shook her head. “Say nothing. I will send word. Dispose of the body. If anyone asks, he slipped and fell. You know what to do.” The guard nodded and went to get a gurney for the body. Kim carefully lifted Nisa and placed her back on the bed, covered her up, re-hooked her IV and used the syringe in her pocket to add a second dose of sleeping solution to the girl's fluids. Nisa would sleep for at least a day now. Between the exhaustion and the use of the Force so deeply without training, meant the crash could last as long as three days. This would give Kim the time to write the letter she needed.
Once the guard had taken care of the body, promising to look into the matter of his true identity, Kim set another guard on the girl's door with orders that no one save the doctor of record and herself was to enter the room. She then went to her office to write a letter.

Dear Lord Wrath,
You don't know me but my father once knew of what I have experienced. He said if I ever saw certain things, I was to notify you right away. My name is Kim Talinj and I am a nurse at the Northern City Hospital on Curoscant. I have seen something that would possibly interest you. If it does not, then I apologize now and ask you to forgive me.
A few days ago a young girl, 18 by her records, was brought to us unconscious from a traffic accident that claimed the remaining members of her family. Upon medical investigation it was discovered that while her brother was a twin, and blood related, her parents were not her own. We know not her true lineage so I cannot say what her real name is. I only know she is called Niesara Rh'Jod. I am writing because she had a talent that I know about, but not how to deal with. She has burned a man's mind in rage and her room looks as though some sort of harsh wind blasted across the room and knocked everything over. I know that such people are hunted and I fear one of those hunters the cause of the recent episode.
I have sedated the young woman and due to her injuries from the accident, can reasonably leave her in that state for a few days. But I noticed, too, that her wounds are healing faster than they should. And she will take notice which will cause others to as well.
Sir, if you cannot tell me what to do with her, can you please at least give me an idea of who to contact for help. I wish her to get treatment or training, but I know nothing of either for ones like her. I am a watcher, not a Master. I merely find talent and pass on the information to those who can help. And I believe you may know such help.
Forgive me if I am mistaken and my father is an old rambler. I meant no disrespect. Please accept my up front apologies and sincerest thanks for reading this. I look forward to your response. I am the night shift supervising nurse and am easily found.
Sincerely
Kim Talinj
Head nurse

The note was locked to the ident stick and coded with Lord Wrath's name. No one but he would be able to access the information, she hoped. Sliding the stick into a small shipping canister, she labeled it and took it to the delivery office that day. She hoped it would reach the man on Talus in time. She didn't trust such communique across space waves and hoped that this slower method would prove the secrecy and urgency of her request. Paying extra for it to arrive by the next day, she then departed and went back to the hospital to care for Nisa till a response arrived.
