Wake up and smell the flowers, lady. He had taken off his mask when he was flying his ship, but they had landed in Ruusan without much difficulty. He carried her limp body out in his arms, holding her more gently than he would with someone else, but not so that she would appear more favorable to him. There was something about her, though, that would make her fit in. But the man couldn't figure out what.
When she awoke, she would be dazed and confused. But the problem was she'd probably be pining for "Jaden."
Well, there was no "Jaden." Never was, never would be. He would be just a figure of her imagination.
She is yours, my brethren. He swept himself away from the Garden of Twilight. He would not be present for her questioning, she had seen him already, and had spoken to him. Now, it was time to see whether she would meet the expectations of the Penumbra.

The first sensation she had was of grass beneath her cheek. It was warm, probably from being lain on. Then slowly her senses widened to take in her surroundings. Laying on soft earth, cool breeze coming around other objects, assailing her from a couple sides, and she smelled sweet scents like night blooming jasmine and roses and other more exotic things her drug addled mind couldn't specify.
She opened her eyes. Blades of grass came into such sharp focus. She rolled to her back and stretched. Sitting up, her long hair came loose more from its frail braid of convenience and gave her a tousled, young look. She certainly didn't look 18 at first glance. More like 15... but if you glanced again, saw her eyes, you may guess 25 as well. It was part of who she was. The ability to let her looks work to her advantage. *But to what end....* her mind whispered. *What end is there here?* A soft laugh fell from her lips. “To achieve the top, dear one... to be the best.” She laughed and stood up and looked around more closely to her surroundings.
The garden was beautiful and there was no one else she could see. Her bare feet wriggled cold toes in the grass as her arms wrapped lightly around her middle. Her long, ankle length night gown, given by Nurse Kim a few days ago, hung on her body with a cross between dignity and seduction in perfect harmony. It was almost the embodiment of her entire existence. She ran her lithe long fingers over the nearest bush and bent to the flower, cupping it in her hand and smelling it. Tilting her head, that birdlike curious look coming over her once more, she slid her hand up the stem of the rose and popped it's head off in her hand. Cupping both hands together, she bit her lip and concentrated.
Eyes furrowing slightly she imagined the cup she had mutilated in the hospital. She tried to melt the flower the same way. The Force was untrained and instead of merely turning it to an unrecognizable blob, it merely blackened it till it sifted thru her fingers as ash. She gasped and her hands dropped. Growling she knelt on the ground and was peering at the bush to find small, perhaps near dead flowers to try again on. “Come on, Nisa... this should be easier than it seems.” But as she reached for another, one just out of reach without leaning further, it shifted and fell off its stem as if she had pressed on the dead petals too hard.
Sitting back on her heels, she shook her head. “I told you Jaden... a place full of klutzes.” That's when she laughed for real. She knew Jaden was fake. Well, the man wasn't fake, but surely the name was. She doubted she would ever see him again. But she would know him... if she could ever get a good look at his eyes again... she would know him. Question is, what would she say? She pondered the possibilities as she knelt on the grass with hands clasped in her lap for fear of messing things up.

“To be the best at what?” Revan sauntered into the clearing that was the Garden, with all the confidence of one who belonged. His white garments seemed to glow beneath the pale light of triple moons above, hands withdraw behind his back. While a cloak draped over his left shoulder and obscured view of one of his lightsabers, the other dangled at his right hip to be clearly seen. His visage was mired in the shadow of a cowl, only the rough stubble of his chin visible from his distance.
His blue eyes turned for the flowers, and her display of abilities, but he did not look on impressed. Instead he was curious. “Why the needless display?” He stepped even closer, standing over the young woman of a mostly indiscernible age. It was that uncertainty that reigned in his natural Corellian flirtatious instinct, as well as the fact that he was the only one present to greet her. With Visha, their had been others to question, while he took on the supportive role. Niesara found herself in no such place.
“Just because you have an ability, does not mean you must flaunt it, particularly in the manner of destruction.” For the moment he felt her out, appraising how she took to him, and how she would approach her situation. He had to admit, she was the first one to sit and play with her toys.

“At everything...” Her voice answered him before she even turned to look at him. When she did, her eyes panned up and down as she took in the vision before her. When she had thought of rising, he came to stand over her and somehow it seemed right to remain where she was... for the moment. Always need to learn. Isn't that what she had chosen when she accepted Jaden's drink?
When he asked about the needless display, she frowned. “I had not thought that doing anything was needless. Everything has a purpose. To teach, to please, to create an end. Isn't that how life is?” When he made no move to stand closer, she boldly stood up. Her chin rose slightly in defiance but her soft eyes showed fear. The Force rippled on her as it had when the man had confronted her in the hospital. She had no control so there was no point or purpose. It merely was there like an emotion brought to the surface. She clenched her hands a moment and it calmed like a lion in a cage seeing that pacing was scaring the prey away... so it would merely watch and wait. “I see no flaunting here. I was trying it. It failed. But I learned from it. Destruction denotes senseless, meaningless chaos. The flower merely changed. Death and destruction have a purpose. Even if its lesson is not to do a particular thing again because of the consequential results.” Crossing her arms she raised an eyebrow, realizing she had spouted what probably amounted to gibberish. Trying to save herself from ridicule, she half growled. “I was practicing. I can't learn and get better if I don't.” She left her words there. It seemed pointless to try and explain more without sounding like she was making an excuse.
And that she wouldn't do.

“It is impossible to be the best at everything.” If she had the hope of being multifaceted and spectacular at all things she practiced, then he sought to dissuade that notion in a hurry. “For one, you are competing against people who have been at such things for a long time. For example, I have been practicing the lightsaber for a long time, and I continue to develop in it. You would be extremely hard-pressed to catch up, unless I suddenly decided to never touch it again.”
And he pushed further. “Then there is the notion that you wish to be not just the best, but the best at everything. You need to bring yourself back to reality. There is far too much in the Force to learn, for you to Master it all. You pick and choose what you are good at, or enjoy, and elaborate on those skills. To seek a perfect balance, is to be outclassed by someone who had truly devoted themselves to a single path.”
His hands released and fell to his sides, sweeping his right hand for the deceased flower. “All you have done, is needlessly destroyed in the name of practice. You were brought to this garden for a purpose, and I very much doubt it was to undo the landscape work.” His lips tightened, chin inclining slightly and blue eyes briefly visible beneath the cowl. “Death and destruction can serve a purpose, this is true, but it has to be a worthwhile purpose. Kill to save a life. Kill to save many lives. Kill to save your own life. Not kill to test your strength, that is the mantra of the Sith.”
