Orbb remained crouched, his soft white hair flailing in the breeze, his cloak drooping over the branch slightly as he remained balanced in silence. Sniffing the air he scented his prey, the quiver and bow about his shoulder not being reached for, this little bandit wasn't the hunted really, just the one leading him unknowingly. Looking down to his branch he touched the trunk of the tree, fingers caressing the grains of the bark.
Beth paused a moment and closed her eyes. She knew this was Vlad's home... but he wasn't here... She moved into the trees feeling her way as her eyes opened. Her mind and body felt his land and knew it was not far to his Keep. She only hoped she would find him. The sword on her back seemed forgotten as she walked with stealth thru the undergrowth, her care and silence surprising to any who would see or hear.
The vortex of shadow caught his senses; though he could not wield it he had a sense for unnatural events. Looking to the direction of the disturbance, he saw movement through the foliage. Gripping the branch he looked about, jumping towards the next tree in that direction, the slight rustle making no noise that would sound beyond the breeze settling into the leaves. Squinting violet eyes he watched the stranger, his fingers undoing the tether that held his bow to his back. Slipping it around as his other hand drew an arrow, the bandits would wait. Listening he heard little noise from the intruder, and this wasn't going to go unnoticed.
She paused again near an older taller tree. Her hand lifted and pressed to it. Shifting her hand only to the mist of the Chaos Knight's true form, she let it slide just under the surface of the tree. A soft murmur of ancient words would tell her Vlad hadn't roamed this section of wood in many decades, but the tree did remember him. She withdrew her hand and shifted her course slightly to steer in a more direct line to the Keep. Her soft eyes and hair framing a near-porcelain face giving her an almost light glow in the fading evening light.
Kept his arrow notched and watched as she directed herself towards him and the keep. Furrowing his brows he watched her move through the shrubs. Shaking his head he uncoiled a rope from his hip, looping it carefully before dropping it to the ground, The slack causing the rope to hug near the tree, his fingers holding the rope as he watched her steps carefully.
She stepped forward slow and easily touching each tree she passed as if letting their memories guild her forward. She moved with slow deliberate steps as if purposely keeping silent to hear what her mind was seeking. Softly she whispered in the twilight. "Oh Vlad... where are you?"
' Mine!' his mind screamed as he slid from his branch as she stepped within the loop, her the rope tightening around her leg in one swift movement to twist and raise her from the ground as he dropped to the next branch down.
As she was suddenly yanked up, her back hit the ground and her head hit next before yanking her into the tree. She was stunned enough not to think of shifting to mist and escape as she cried out. "WWHHAAAAA" She closed her eyes and hung there a moment trying to clear her head.
One quick knot was made around the branch he landed, as he slid from the branch to the forest floor, his bow and arrow still notched. Landing with a soft thud and the creek of wood and a bow sting, his timing and aim exacting as he took aim at her chest, her form spinning on the axis of the rope as he spoke in a deep tone, the hood hiding much of his features, the violet glow of his eyes from the light reflection, and white hair giving away nothing really, " You will tell me what you're doing here... these are not your lands" His tone a growl, disguised and careful to hide his accent.
She let herself twirl deciding to stop it would tip her hand. Palms open she tilted her head seeking to see her captor somewhat in an upright way she spoke softly. "I am Elizabeth Rh'Jod... I come seeking Lord Vlad. He has been missing and w...his friends are worried." She didn't know who this was but it took everything she had not to become combative. If he was on these lands and this angry at her being here, maybe he could help.
Shook his head slightly, his hood swaying only a little as he spoke, “No Madam Rh'Jod.... someone seeking someone would not move with the stealth of an assassin on his properties. Your dialect says more, you are not of this continent or plane I don't believe. Who sent you Madam Rh'Jod?" The bow moved only with her sway, his stance still crouched showing nothing, no twitch or quiver of strain was shown as he remained.
"Call me Beth." She kept her hands away from her sword still deftly hitched to her back and silently berated herself for wearing a cloak for as the spin slowed, it began to shield her captor from her eyes more often than not. "I come to see Lord Vladamere Pendragon. I am ..." she sighed. The truth was something she had to risk, Vlad was needed. "I am from another realm, yes... And I am a Knight from that realm seeking Vlad because he has not contacted us in a long time and we ... and I am worried."
Slowly stood, his head shaking once more “Return to your kingdom Madam Rh'Jod... there are no alliances with your accent to my knowledge, and for one to speak such a title on him states he was there long ago. Go home and state that is gone from the lands." Raised his bow in one swift motion, piercing the rope and dropping her to the ground.
Giving up on courtesy, as he shot the rope, she shifted to mist only to re-shift and solidify standing before him. Her hands remained up and she looked at him. "Does Vlad know those who protect him will dismiss so easily because of accent? I have the gift of empathy and have felt him. Something is WRONG and whether you like it or not, I am not leaving till HE tells me he is no longer coming back." She straightened and let her hands drop, her chin rising in pride as she spoke. "I am a Chaos Knight of the Realm of Chaos. That place between shadows and darkness. And I was taught by Lord Vlad himself to never forsake my gift. And as it is HE that I feel in pain, I will not be deterred so easily." She tilted and inclined her head respectfully and never reached for her blade, but she also never let her eyes even blink as she watched him for signs of another arrow in the way of coming to play again.
Orbb smirked slightly, his bow being slung over his shoulder. Looking her over slowly he again shook his head, “I knew the accent Madam Rh'Jod. I dismiss you for many reasons, many my own." Slipping his hands to his cloak he pushed the cloak open and aside showing his twin scimitars as a show of arms. “I suggest you leave and don't make such claims about not leaving without seeing him, you hold no power in the realm of Wallachia" Moving forward he walked towards the castle, his steps deliberately noisier then he naturally walked.
Beth crossed her arms and turned to watch him go then grinned. "How do I know you have the authority to tell me to go? Perhaps you are a poacher on this land. Or better, some spoiled child of a land holder playing 'great protector'?" She uncrossed her arms and took a step towards him.
He swiftly unsheathed his swords, twirling them as he turned to view her. “Perhaps" the greenish glint would show from his blades, his eyes looking to her's, reaching up he unhooded himself showing his Drow heritage, “or perhaps, I am son in law of The Dragon, ruler of these lands and hereby place you in my custody."
She laughed and held her arms out to be bound, teasing him. "Then take me to him for judgment." She smiled hoping he didn't realize he had just walked straight into her way into the Keep. She tilted her chin down and looked up slightly thru her hooded eyes. "I won't resist. Let The Dragon measure and judge me."
He walked around her carefully, a blade always between her and himself, tapping her back with the flat of the blade. “Lead. Turn when I say. Do what I say and I won't be forced to drop you where you stand Madam Rh'Jod." Orbb stood still and awaited her next move.
With him behind her, he wouldn't see her smile as she nodded. "As you wish..... Mlord..." She began walking with her hands finally dropping to her side. She watched the trees, felt the land begin to have more vivid memories. Vlad had been here in the last decade. As she felt that she mentally whispered softly towards the direction they were heading...*Dear Lord Vlad... where are you....*
Following behind her he spoke deeply now, “Turn right now" Following he led her from the lands she'd recognize. They were walking slowly, his blades touching softly on her shoulders to guide her. He was leading her to a land Vlad hadn't walked on in over 100 years, the trees marked with runes and slight hatch marks.
