Niesa finished her morning practice then set off to the garden. Lord Jasik had said that being in the garden wouldn't allow his 'ward' to wear fancy dresses. But to her, she didn't seem the fancy dress type. Setting herself at the center, where so long ago she had first knelt and destroyed a rose for no other purpose than a hard learned lesson. She smiled and set to work with her small shovel to remove the choking weeds from around that poor, once offended, rose bush and surrounding plants. Ever mindful of her lessons, she absently sorted the weeds by type and 'Force Moved' them to separate piles by the wall. It would make cleanup easier later, and helped her flex her mental talents as she had to maneuver them around other plants.
Anyone stepping into the scene would see her bent head, masked behind fallen hair, concentrating on the task while small globs of dirt and weeds moved at about knee height to one of the three piles slowly growing by the far gate.

It had been a while since Ayumi took the chance to walk in the gardens of the chateau. Having spent most of her time training or on missions, it was nice to take things easy. Today's 'mission' was mainly to explore the gardens for more medicinal herbs and generally have a relaxing time.
As she walked into the gardens, Ayumi noticed a girl she had yet to meet, pruning some weeds and tending to the plants. Having not really made much of an effort to interact with others due to her lack of confidence and she'd been recovering from issues prior to coming to the Penumbra. It was about time she'd gotten herself some friends.
Walking toward the girl, Ayumi clutched her alchemy book in her hands, holding it close to her chest as she approached. "Hey..." she said quietly. "Would you like some help getting rid of the weeds?"

Niesa sent a blob of dirt sailing before she thought. The cluster would hit the young woman in the thigh without much more damage than a dirt stain if it hit. “Oh, sorry...” She wiped her hands on her pants unceremoniously and rocked back onto her heels. “I am Niesa. Yeah, weeding to begin with. Seems the garden is in need of some serious tending.” She looked around, brushed a strand of hair from her face, leaving a dirt streak in her wake without realizing it, and shrugged. “Need to start somewhere.”
Looking back at the woman with more attention this time, she looked her up and down. Her reading of the woman was student... or at least, not a Master. “What's your name? I don't mind if you help. It's good Force practice too. The weeds are sorted along the wall. Spiny ones are on the left, fern style ones in the middle and stick like ones on the left.” She waved her hand towards the small piles slowly growing. “Question is, why would you want to get all dirty? Seems like your dress deserves be better treated.” She felt her own gaze landing on her dirty pants legs where she had been rubbing her hands. She imagined her face and arms weren't in any better shape. Some way to introduce herself as the ward of the Lord of the Keep.

Ayumi was caught off-guard when a pile of dirt was sent flying at her. Managing to just dodge it, the dirt did clip the edge of her dress as it moved. The eighteen year old grinned a little and bushed it off as she listened to the girl, Niesa, introduce herself. "Pleased to meet you!" she said with a smile. "I'm Ayumi Na'Varro. Cousin to Alen." Ayumi then knelt down, placing her alchemy journal beside her and taking a spare shovel.
When Niesa asked why she would want to get all dirty in the dress she was in, Ayumi smiled. "I don't mind getting my hands dirty. Besides...I have an ulterior motive of sorts." Ayumi turned to the journal she had just put down and picked it up with both hands, placing it on her lap. "Templar Shyahwyn, my master, runs the apothecary here. She's asked me to gather certain types of plants and herbs she's running low of from the garden. They say many hands make light work and helping one another in our tasks would get our tasks done quicker."
She looked at some of the weeds Niesa had already pulled out. Picking out specific weeds that Shyahwyn had listed in the journal and putting them in a herbalist bag Shyahwyn had provided for her task before going back to Niesa. "It saves throwing some of these weeds away if they can have another use no?"
