2/8/2007 Beth meets Medivh
Growling, Beth shifted and used the feel of the land to find the Keep. It dawned on her as she was got closer that if Vlad lead the CKs there would be a portal she could acess. She smiled and touched the medallion that linked her to such places and faded between the planes hoping to come out within the Keep.
The winds softly kicked up, the heat unbearable and sands flying. The rattle of sticks waving on strings hung distant in the air, the thunk and rattles were almost rhythmic as the smokes of a fire rose in the same direction.
The feeling of Vlad was more then evident; it literally dribbled from the direction of the noise, like overflowing malaises of darkness emanating. The very skies circled with darkness over the area of the noise, the camp circle of wagons was colorful and bright, the people their dancing and playing violins.
Beth misted her sword so none would see it and tugged her cloak around her and silently headed for the circle stopping just outside it to observe and 'reach' for Vlad. Her mind whispering towards his 'feel' "My Dragon... My Lord... I am here..."
A large man stepped from a wagon, his broadness and height exactly like Vlad's though the dark blue cloak was definitely different; the white hair blowing in the breeze also was a contrast. The circle of people seemed to part as he moved through them, his face hidden in slight shadows though he was near the fire in the midst of the circle.
Beth stepped forward and leaned on the nearest wagon edge to watch and listen yet remain hidden as she felt towards the strange man. Something seemed familiar, yet not quite right. She whispered towards the feeling she had before "Dragon, Lord, please... let me help you..."
The feeling of pain would fade swiftly, then in sudden flare would start up once more. The large figure in blue moving once more from the fire to the wagon, stepping up and reaching for the key. The feeling from Vlad seemed to fade like a weakening, and then suddenly flared once more. The large man entering into the wagon, shadows seemed to escape the closed door until it was shut.
Swaggering on her feet, Beth grabbed the side of the wagon and bit her lip to keep from crying out. He was in there. She was sure of it. Shifting to mist she tried to merge with the shadows nearby to see if she could feel him better. She kept speaking to him *Where are you... let me help you.
Medivh felt the disturbance, he moved his hand shot out and gave a shove, the breeze shifting and changing as it caught up the mists and forced them from the wagon. The pain was subsiding now, the pain alleviating and being cured. The large man stepped around from the wagon once more, this time moving towards her as he spoke aloud, " Come out Knight of Chaos, I will see you now"
Beth shimmered and crouched as a solid several paces from the man. She had never felt her mist manipulated that way and it was taking her a moment to center. She stayed in the crouch making it look like a prelude to attack. "Where is The Dragon, old man?" Was all she said as she looked at him and felt for her dear friend.
Med chuckled softly, the shadows fading from his face as the image of youth showed. He wasn't young really, probably late 20's early 30's, his eyes a piercing metallic blue. His hair was silvery white, “I am Medivh, though you are correct in being old. He is safe, and I am his son. You must understand that this will happen every hundred to three hundred years." Smiling softly he waved his hand towards the fire, "Help yourself, I am Raman of this tribe of Gypsies. Take up some food, sup with us and drink of our waters and teas."
Beth rose slowly. She had heard of this son from Vlad but had not known much else. As she walked towards him she glanced at the wagon where she had felt Vlad. "Is he all right? Truly? I have felt his pain for too long and I feared..." She looked down. "I know he has a Lady, but I owe him so much..." she whispered softly. Looking up she nodded. "If you give me your word he is fine... I will not be a bother any longer. I just need to be sure."
