Jacob sat in his personal quarters holding the amulet that he was about to imbue the Force with. After he did he would give it to Niesara for her to wear when she was outside the planet of Ruusan. It would hide her from the Jedi and Sith alike. So, patiently waiting for Niesara to arrive he then quietly closed his eyes and meditated. Trying to refresh himself always for the task that was about to come.
The Templar's world around him seemed to exist no longer. He reached out into the palace. From there he reached out further outside the palace. Out towards the pathways that existed to the main city. Then he seemed like he was hovering overhead of everyone. Seeing who was walking back and forth. Although he couldn't tell who was approaching his door.
As Jacob's senses stretched beyond Olmondo, the Templar then tethered himself back to reality as he snapped awake. Jacob looked around and noticed that Niesara was knocking on his door. The Templar smiled.

For just a moment, as she was about to knock, something made her hand hover over the door. Flattening her palm, she closed her eyes. Something wavered just outside her ability to perceive it. Not really seen, or heard, but felt.
But just as she was thinking she could figure it out, it was gone. Shaking herself, she curled her knuckles once more and knocked on his door. After several minutes she knocked again, this time calling through the barrier. "Master Jacob... are you here?"
She had thought she should be here in the morning. Was she too early? Was he not awake? Or was she late and she had missed him and would face a punishment when she saw him next?
Growling at herself, she knocked once more.

"Come in Niesara!" Jacob shouted to the door.
Inside he sat there, still jerked awake by her appearance at his door. She'd arrived just on time when he'd requested her presence here in his quarters. But, she shouldn't worry. It was sound proof and nobody could hear what they were saying. If it was bugged, he'd already know. Jacob waved his hand over the door to open it.
"You arrived just on time, Niesara."

She had been about to reach for the handle when the door opened a few inches before she touched it. Smiling as she stepped in, she nodded to the door. "I need to learn that." She laughed and then crossed the room towards him as her face settled into a more serious guise.
"Good morning, Master." She said respectfully. Not knowing what she was supposed to be receiving, she didn't notice his hands cradling something.

"It's pretty easy. Remember what Levitation is right? All you do is use the Force to move the door aside. Usually doors won't move and if you try the handle...it won't budge. It's not supposed to." Jacob held up his hand, "Don't worry...nobody will hear what we're saying."
He then shook his head when she called him 'Master'. It always made him feel old. Then again...nearly 40 he was technically old. Especially to Niesara. She was young, and, reminded him of his wife when he first met her. All those years ago.
"You can call me Jacob, Niesara. Calling me 'Master' makes me feel old." He said sticking his tongue out joking around, "Invictus would make you call him that...but...I'm not Invictus now am I?"

She relaxed when he said no one would hear them. Settling onto a chair beside him she nodded. "Yes, Jacob..." She laughed. "I wouldn't want you to feel old."
As he mentioned he wasn't Invictus she shook her head. "No, you aren't Invictus." Realizing how that may have sounded, she suddenly gasped. "I didn't mean that Master Invictus is bad in any way!" She stammered her apology as if she would be beaten for the misunderstanding.

Jacob rolled his eyes jokingly, "Oh don't I already. My kids are almost adults now. That give you a hint of how old I am."
When she stammered her apology he then smiled, "It's alright, Niesara. Nothing to worry about. Invictus had his ways...and I have mine. Can't model yourself completely after your Master, right? Gotta do things your own way."
He then held up the amulet for her to see. It was gold, and shiny. Pretty much brand new except that he'd had it held inside a drawer for a few months. The chain was semi-long on it since he'd wanted it that way so it could be hidden under clothing. Much like his own.

She laughed and nodded. "Shall I call you grandone then instead of Master?" Holding her hands up quickly before he responded, she winked. "I am teasing, Jacob. Honestly, you don't seem that old." After blurting that out, she blushed a deeper crimson than the roses in the garden. Thankfully Jacob chose that moment to pull out the pendant and dangle it before her embarrassed eyes.
Almost like a switch had been thrown, her eyes widened like a child being offered unending sweets. She gasped at the pendant and reached towards it before realizing she had. A smile widened across her already open face and she laughed. "This is for me?" Biting her lip, she dropped her hand and tilted her head, suddenly making her look very naive and curious. "I give up... what is it?" She laughed realizing she had no clue.

He snickered, "You do...and I will make you clean my office for a month."
Jacob said it jokingly of course. He stuck his tongue out at her with a shake of his head. Oh he was that old alright. Jacob was nearly fourty now. So with his kida nearly adults now he sure felt that old. Like he was mid-fourties now. But, her joke was taken well. He then chuckled at her.
Seeing Niesara blush he then smirked. He didn't see that coming, but, it was cute nonetheless. Not that he thought of her in that way. Just reminded him of his wife when he was young. When they'd first met. She was just as stubborn as Jacob was then.
Her reaching for the pendant he then pulled it away, "Ah, it is. But, you cannot take it yet. I must do a few things to prepare it. You know what this is for? I will tell you."
Jacob cleared his throat, "This pendant will help cloak you in the Force. The use of Force Masking. To a Templar level like I am. This amulet will help mask your aura from other Force users. Well, to a point."

As he yanked the pendant from her grasp, she laughed and let her hands fall to her lap. When he mentioned that it would mask her, she frowned slightly. "But you said that everything radiates the Force. How does this mask it? Will it make me just appear like a normal... someone without Force powers? Or will it make me seem like I am not there at all?" She bit her lip trying to rephrase it so it made sense.
"If I am hiding behind something, will it mask me enough to not be found? Or will I simply read like a normal? Does that make sense at all?" She growled deep in her throat at her inability to ask what was going through her mind. She hoped, like before, that he would understand. There was something about him that seemed to know what she was thinking, sometimes before she did. She hoped this was one of those times.

He tried to answer her question. Well, both of them actually. The Templar understood what she meant. Though Jacob knew she wouldn't get it at first. Took him a moment to get used to it when Invictus gave him his amulet. The Dark Jedi...especially the Neophytes and Acolyte's did. They couldn't mask themselves like he could. Or anyone higher then Templar. So in other words it would be like she could use Force Masking like he could. To a point anyways.
"Well, to answer your question...it's more like you being able to use Force Masking like I can. Except the fact that you can't just do it freely like I can. I still have my amulet. Although it's more sentimental now. Master Invictus gave me mine and I will now bestow upon you your own. I had watched Lord Nathaniel do it for a few students of mine. You just need to activate it to use it. Otherwise it won't work." Jacob said trying to answer her the best he could.
He then looked down at it and then back up at her, "I'll need a few hours to meditate upon it. Infuse it with the Force Masking power. You can stay and watch if you want to."

"So it's a power I can draw on and can use till I am able to do it myself. I understand." She glanced once more at the pendant. At least it was something pretty she could hide openly as jewelry or slip under her blouse if needed. It was big, but not so big to be a problem. And it was smooth, so that made it another plus.
When he made the offer to let her stay, she accepted readily. It was being made for her. It was only right that she be there. "Will you need anything from me?" She smiled, "Besides silence that is, I meant." She knew if he was going to meditate he needed silence and no disturbance. He wouldn't eat, wouldn't drink, wouldn't sleep while he did so. So there would be no need to bring him food or drink. She knew that others in the Keep wouldn't come to the church to bother him. So that left two choices; she could leave and practice while he created an object that would protect her, or she could stay and be a part of it even if just in moral support.
She chose to stay. If he was going through this to protect her, she should be there.

Jacob shook his head, "Not at this moment, no. Just silence really. If you wanna meditate yourself you can. This will take a couple hours."
The Templar then chuckled at his own joke. Well, more or less it was a funny comment. Still he then walked into the middle of the room and sat down positioning himself into a meditative state. Jacob then closed his eyes and concentrated upon the Force. Letting it's free flowing energy surround him, the Templar concentrated. He'd seen Nathaniel do it, so, he figured he could himself. Shouldn't be too difficult right?
Letting the Dark Side flow through him, he didn't let it's dark power overwhelm or consume him. No...he found balance. In serenity. Thinking of his children kept Jacob tethered to the Force. More or less kept him in balance. He thought of them growing up and becoming adults. The Templar kept his focus on his own Force Masking ability. Pulsating it into the pendant. The amulet he would give Niesara once he was finished.
The Templar continued meditating...

Nisa sat on the floor opposite Jacob and closed her eyes. She had meditated before. It wasn't hard. What was hard this time was not focusing on external things. Jacob was drawing his power inward to power the masking stone. So she did the same.
She imagined herself invisible. Like finding a 'ground and center' when she first learned the Force was part of her, she tried to slowly weave a web just inside the top of layer of herself. She imagined it as a layer nothing could penetrate. That if she wanted, and she knew someday she would, she could draw that web to the surface and use the power of the crystal to empower it to shield her.
**
She didn't know if she was going about it all wrong, or even if it would work. She tried to rely on instinct and past teachings to do what was right. She wouldn't be able to even ask Jacob till it was all over. Till then, she merely sat in silence, breathing slow and even, and trying to build a type of layer she hoped the crystal would be able to power in time.

1 and a half hours later
Jacob had gotten to a good point. He could feel his energy penetrate through the amulet. That was good. At least he was somewhere with it now. Still he'd have a few more hours to go. Or so he'd hoped. Then again, if it took longer, that would be alright. Better to do a good job then not. Concentration was key, and, he was using his alright.
The Templar continued to infuse the amulet with the ability of Force Masking. Which was hard to a point. Trying to concentrate the Force directly into it was sorta easy. Just pinpointing the unique ability that she'd never learned yet was the hardest. Jacob continued pouring his Templar ability into it. Beads of sweat formed on his face as he kept his grip on the amulet. Jacob was breathing but in a different state of reality. Like he was in some sort of trance. Deep meditation alright!
The world around him didn't exist. All that existed was him, and this amulet! So, with that he continued meditating on his Force energy. Infusing it with both the Dark Side and the Force itself. Relying on the peace and tranquility within his heart to keep him tethered. No...he wasn't gonna let the Dark Side consume him! Not again!

Nisa was so deep in thought that all the sounds around her disappeared. But she was young. She didn't have the staying power that the Templar did. After four hours, she dozed off.
If Jacob reached for her Force power to help infuse or boost him, he would find the unconscious mind open and bare before him. And if he looked at her, her head was drooped to her chest, her hands calm and relaxed, one on her knee, one fallen to the floor. The look on her face would be one of almost childish calm and peace. And the Force she had been drawing on would be laying over her like a blanket.

4 hours later
He'd done it! Finally he'd infused it! After four pain-staking hours he'd finally accomplished the feat he wished to! Now the amulet was infused with Force Masking. So, he'd finally awoke out of his deep meditation and looked around. Seeing Niesara sleeping he then smiled. Well, at least someone was getting rest for the time being. He'd do so later, but, for now he was drained both in Force energy and drained somewhat in energy physically. But, he could pull through, that was certain.
The Templar stood to his feet and held the amulet in one hand. Tapping Niesara on the shoulder he then smiled. Well, she was still asleep. That was for sure. So, he did so again. Hoping that the second time did the trick more then a third time. Then again, that saying went 'third time is a charm'.
"Niesara...wake up." Jacob said to her almost chuckling.

Nisa frowned as she opened her eyes and yawned. Looking up into Jacob's eyes she stopped midyawn and blushed. "I am sorry, Mas... I mean, Jacob. I didn't mean to fall asleep. I hope I did not disturb you."
She stood up and had to fall immediately into the chair behind her as her numb legs nearly toppled her back to the floor. A slight giggle was quickly stifled by a low growl. "I am sorry. I shouldn't have fallen asleep. I was weak." She hated she had passed out. She shouldn't have. She should have been able to stay away. The mental berating continued in her mind, and in her angered state, it leaked out so even Jacob would hear the whisper of her mental beating in his mind.

Jacob chuckled at her, "No, not at all."
He then held up the amulet for her. It gleamed in the peeks of sunlight that had poked through his room. Smiling he then felt her mental berating of herself. Though she didn't need to, he understood why she did in the first place. Sometimes one felt bad for doing such things, but, it didn't deter Jacob in the least. He had focused on his task and nothing but that. Everything around him during that time had faded away.
"No need to beat yourself up, Niesara. You didn't bother me, actually, in fact...I didn't even notice you were there. After a while the world kinda fades away." Jacob said with a chuckle, "You know how many times my eyes kept opening and shutting when Nathaniel made a few for me?"

Niesara relaxes and laughed as Jacob spoke of his own lack of discipline during the same exercise then he had been a student.
"Nice to know I'm not the only one."
As he held up the pendant, she frowned. "It looks... different." She tilted her head slightly as her eyes tried to refocus. "Is it supposed to be..." she grit her teeth and frowned.
Shaking her head suddenly she bit her lip and crossed her arms. "I know how to read the Force in objects. But this one wavers, like it's out of focus somehow." She didn't know if it sounded as crazy out as it did in her head, but she didn't know how to describe it.

Jacob smirked, "Yeah, and countless others who'd probably done the same thing."
He then shook the thought out of his head. It made him laugh inside though, he didn't show it on the outside. Still when she spoke of the amulet being unfocused he nodded. That was true. But, for a reason though. It was supposed to be unfocused till someone tapped into it's ability. Like Niesara for instance. So, Jacob would finally explain to her the reasoning behind that.
"It's supposed to be unfocused, Niesara." Jacob said explaining, "That's because it requires your aura to focus it. I can only put the ability of Masking into it. I can't be the one who uses it. Only you can."
He then handed it to her. Smiling the Templar then sat back in his chair after handing it to her. Now it was her time to meditate upon it.

Nisa took the medallion and rolled it over in her hand. Looking up at Jacob she could see a near match in the two visions of the Force she perceived.
"So I need to meditate now. To push some of my own Force aura into the amulet and mix it with yours?" She looked back up at him again in query to see if she understood right. "Then, if I need to hide from someone, I just draw the Force from the amulet and it will draw your higher aura with it... effectively cloaking me. At least from those who aren't a higher rank to see through it, right?"
She stepped back and looked around. Half the day was gone. "Do you want me to go back to my room or stay here? I don't want to keep you if you have things to do." She laughed imagining some other student walking in and seeing her half asleep looking on his floor.

Jacob nodded to her as she asked if she had to meditate on it to put her own aura into it. Smiling he then remembered when he'd asked those same stupid questions to Lord Invictus. Looking at himself now becoming a teacher once again. Having a student to mold and train to become something better then him. True, Jacob taught much differently then Invictus...but...some of the old man's teachings were there. Just in another notion.
"Yes, Niesara. You must meditate on it." Jacob said with a chuckle then added as she asked about using it, "And yes...that is correct. Just don't use too much of the Force at once. Cloaking yourself is one thing. Using the Force besides that just lets out a beacon. Do it slowly."
He winked. When Niesara asked if he wanted her to leave, he shook his head. Jacob had nothing planned the rest of the day. He knew this would take much of his time so the whole day was free to be his. Grabbing his drink though he took a few sips before setting it back down. Taking another glass he then looked over at her.
"You want some?" Jacob said then added, "Your not a child, Niesara. Your an adult. Though some would say otherwise."
Jacob then smirked, "Your okay. You can sit and meditate if you wish. Don't worry, I had the whole day free."

She was glad she had the thought process right. Now she hoped she did the rest the right way.
As she settled back on the floor, she nodded at the offered drink. From his comment, she guessed it wasn't fruit punch he was offering. "I guess 'child' is a subjective word in this world isn't it? I mean, in chronological speak, no I am no child. But I am guessing when it comes to my skills and knowledge of the Force," she laughed and shook her head, "I doubt to some that I am more than a babe in arms." The idea of being a child once more sent a shiver through her. She hadn't had a happy childhood and was glad not to have to relive it.
As he spoke of her being able to meditate here, she smiled and nodded. "Thanks. Something tells me I will manage better with someone around looking sternly at me." She laughed again, "Or at least rolling their eyes like you do when you are bored or hear something ridiculous come from me."
She was glad to be staying. Somehow it seemed easier to relax around him. Maybe because she knew if he wasn't around, she was a target. Any student could challenge her, any Master could question her. In here, with him, she was safe. At least for the moment.
Leaning back against his bed, she bent her knees and planted her feet flat on the floor. Resting her arms on her knees she dangled the pendant between her fingers and let it sway slightly. She watched his own aura play around the piece for a moment before slowly narrowing her brow and concentrating as she let loose a small tendril of her own Force Power from her fingers tips, let it seem to trickle down the leather strap it was on, and begin to very slowly swirl with his. At first, it was outside it, like a second layer. Then slowly she began to draw it into the center. Each swirl and whorl turning in on itself.
Forgetting she had accepted a drink, she was soon tilting her head as if to see it from another angle as she let another thin tendril dribble from her and mix with his. Something told her a mix of mostly his and slightly less of hers would be perfect. If she over powered it, she understood what he meant about his become a catalyst and making her a beacon. If she kept his the main aura, then when it melded with her in time of need, it would be overpowering.
Soon her eyes shifted and became slightly unfocused as she looked at it slowly working. She forgot about the drink, the hard floor, the sunlight through the window, even the fact Jacob was watching. Soon she was lost enough in the swirling miasma of Force Power before her that she became oblivious to everything else around her.

OOC: This is long overdue I know lol
Jacob watched her infuse her own aura into the amulet. The Templar took care not to let his own Force aura out as to not confuse the whole thing. So, he then sat there quietly, drinking his glass. Pouring one for Niesara when she was finished. The Templar sat quietly thinking over his recent events. N'yssa, his good friend, told him of what his son, Jacob Jr was going through. Knowing that his dad wasn't the hero he thought him to be.
It weighed heavily on Jacob. He felt horrible at times for leaving them. But, his destiny was not with the Jedi. It was the start of it. Then, for a time, he was a Sith. He wanted his son to believe he'd gone there instead of here on Ruusan. Though some would think otherwise, like N'yssa. She would rather have him return to the Jedi. Although the older Murano had taken that into consideration, he knew that he'd never be the same if he was a Jedi once more. There was just too much chaos in his heart. A broken Jedi Knight he'd become. Thanks to the Force Nexus he was exposed to. It would take the rest of his life to rid himself of that dark energy. Which he had accepted a long while ago.
There were worse things then being exposed to dark energy. He'd experienced that all his life. No, there was something worse out there. The Sith. They consumed themselves in the darkness. Something his student, Ash, had gone through herself. She'd been a Sith once, like him. That is something they shared in common. Although Jacob's Penumbra name was 'The Unforgiven' it was that for a reason. He knew in his heart that he'd never be forgiven on either side. The Jedi would imprison him the rest of his natural life, and, the Sith would execute him for betraying them.
Once she'd become oblivious to everything else he knew that she was close to being done. Because he'd done the same thing himself. A long long time ago. Or so it felt to him. Time had become something entirely. No matter what happened the days went on whether he wished them to or not.

Nisa was lost in the process and soon was completely oblivious to everything around her.
After nearly an hour, though she couldn't have told anyone how long it had been without having marked the passage of the light moving the shadows across the floor, Nisa let out a breath she didn't realize she had been holding. "I think it's done..." she whispered and looked up at her mentor and Master. Holding the crystal up to him to see if he would inspect it, she tried to smile but the headache from the untrained exercise was beginning to furrow her brow.
"I think I did it right...." she managed a smile then, though it didn't quite reach her eyes.

Jacob took it as she handed it to him. An hour was spent drinking his glass of rum, as he then looked over at the bottle and then down at the amulet. The Templar then allowed himself to open to the power of the Force. It's energy swirled through him as the Dark Jedi focused it and found Niesara's aura in it. Only hers though and not his own. The only thing he'd infused was an ability of the Force. Though it took it's own toll on him, he wasn't completely drained or exhausted. The Templar had gone through much worse.
"You did fine, Niesara." Jacob said, "Not bad for your first go at it."
A smile crept to his face as he handed it back to her. Offering her a seat next to him he then pulled the one out from underneath his shirt. Taking it off from around his neck, the Templar then placed it into the palm of his hand. It was golden in color, with patterns across it, with a dark blue, although fake, jewel. The amulet itself had the Force within it's metallic being, and it's ability of Force Masking was that of Arbiter level. Something that he was not...not yet at least.
"This is the one my Master had given me." Jacob said with a smirk, "Still wear it as a symbol of what I'd learned and as a memento of the time I spent with Lord Invictus. Though nobody knows where he went. I'm sure he's out there somewhere."

Nisa smiled and exhaled her half gasped breath when she realized she had done all right for herself. As he offered the place beside himself on the bed, she stood up and was grateful to have something softer than the floor to sit on. Her legs were shaking, too, from being being so still for that long.
She watched as he pulled his amulet from around his neck and set it in his palm to look at. She looked at it and hovered her free hand over it as is to touch it, then pulled back. "It's beautiful. I was lucky enough to learn a bit from Lord Invictus before he left. Though I admit I left first." She bit her lip remembering her abrupt departure and to this day occasionally wondered if he had gone after her. She knew it was a foolish thought. Surely a Master of his caliber had better things to do than chase wayward newbies. But it was a thought that plagued her none the less.
Running her fingers lightly over her own stone once more, she smiled. "It's odd... I didn't think I would make it this far, but at the same time, knew I would go further." She looked at him as her brow furrowed. "Does that make sense? To think you would both fail and succeed in the same thought?"
She shook her head and tried to laugh it off. "I want to be better. I WILL be better... and stronger. And I know as you gain rank as well, that I will learn from you. And perhaps, if I can find any patience in myself in that time," and she laughed once more thinking how ridiculous that possibility seemed, "maybe I will teach others in turn."

Jacob smirked at her comment about Invictus. She had apparently not learned as much before running off. Though Jacob learned all he could from Invictus, then threw his own experience as a Jedi Knight into the mix. When he reached Templar he threw more of his Jedi experience into his philosophy. Well, teaching wise it seemed. He learned that things came with time, and that he had to learn patience as a young man, and as a rookie teacher.
But, time passed and he learned everything he could, both as a Dark Jedi, and a Jedi. Though he remembered his days as a Jedi Knight, he knew eventually it wasn't in his heart anymore. Especially reaching the Nexus and experiencing it for himself. There was more to the Force then Dark and Light. There was a sense of balance in Jacob. The darkness that was always in his heart early on in his youth, and the peace that was for his loved ones.
"I've experienced both of those things, Niesara." Jacob said after a moment, "Failure and success are part of life."
Putting his amulet back around his neck the Templar then looked out the window for a moment before looking back at her. She reminded him of his ex-wife in a way. For she too thought that she was more then likely gonna fail in her attempts at being a Jedi. Though in the end she died and he cloned her she could no longer feel the Force. Niesara reminded him of his ex-wife in her youth, like he was when they first met.
"One day you will be a teacher of your own students." He said with a smile, then patted her on the back, "Your doing fine. Just takes time is all."
