Jacob had Niesara his student meet him here on the moon of Ruusan. Once again as Jacob had been meditating he pulled one training blade off the rack and then let it hover above the ground. Now keeping it hovering there he meditated quietly. The Templar then opened his eyes a moment. After meditating for ten minutes the Dark Jedi stood to his height. Igniting the blade it's dark blue color then hissed to life.

The Templar then began taking a few swings with it. Practicing his Shii-Cho stance he practiced his katas. Jab left, stab right...pull back. Come forward and jab right then left. Slash right and then defend. All these drills were practiced for a while. Then Jacob stopped as he felt Niesara approaching.

Today would be interesting....

The Force that felt like Jacob, flexed ahead of her. She smiled and came around the pillar in time to finish his round and paused. "One of these days I will learn how to sneak up on you, Jacob."

Nisa came into view and nodded respectfully to him. Any place other than here, and he was Jacob, her boss and Mentor... but here, whether he liked the title or not, she thought of him as Master. And nothing would change that.

Tilting her head slightly at the blue energy weapon, she smiled, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "I guess this is going to be my new best friend?" She inclined her head towards what he held in his hand.

Her mind and face seemed calm, but even with her training, the nervousness that radiated off her could be felt in her aura.

"You know you can't even if you have the amulet active. I helped create it remember." Jacob said as he shut the blade off setting it onto the rack and winked.

When she asked if that would be her new best friend he then winked. Well, not like she had to carry around a saber pike. That was what Jacob did on certain days. Though nobody in the public eye knew it was one. The mass thought it was a ceremonial staff more or less. He then looked at his pike leaning against the pillar and willed it to him. It floated into his hand as he then took off the decorative pommel and revealed it's true form. Igniting it, the orange blade shot forth.

"At least it's not this." Jacob said with a smirk, "You'd never know what to do with this."

Shutting it off he then placed it onto the lowest rack for now. The other practice sabers were laying quietly on the four racks which held many training blades. All different styles of hilts, all different colored as well. He then placed his fingers on all of them as he then trailed them back up and removed his hand after a moment or two. The Templar then looked over at Niesara with a half smirk raising his eyebrow.

"I can sense your nervousness to it, Niesara." Jacob said with his eyebrow raised, "Don't worry. They're practice ones. All they'll do is burn. In my lifetime I've had many burns by them. But, the ones I carry are real."

She hadn't forgotten about the amulet, but it had slipped her mind he was linked to it. "Then I shall heave to become stronger and get a new amulet." She laughed and watched him pull the staff towards him. "I can think of a couple things." She winked teasing but was glad it wasn't going to be her lesson for the day.

When he told her not to be nervous, she closed her eyes a moment and remembered why she was here. Calming a little, she went to the racks and ran her hand just over several of them. After going over each rack at least once, she made another round. Less than two minutes passed before she ran her fingers over one and lifted it from the cradle it was laying in. "This one..." She turned to look at him and held out her choice.

The handle wasn't the smallest of the lot, but it was among them. Maybe half the length of the palm of her hand, and just big enough to wrap her hand around without too much extra or too little to grasp.

She looked at him as if for approval.

Jacob chuckled, "Or get stronger and learn the power yourself."

Winking as she teased about doing a couple things with his saber staff he then shook his head. She was quite entertaining sometimes and she gave him a good laugh. It was then that Niesara had ran her fingers along all the hilts of each saber before coming across the shoto. Smirking he then wondered why she'd picked that one since it fit into her hand and she had quite smaller hands then he did. Maybe that was a reason why. With that Jacob then nodded in his approval.

"I see you favor the lightsaber shoto." Jacob said with a nod, "Not a bad choice."

She hadn't given any thought to light sabers having names. Though it made sense when she thought about it. There were different kinds of blades, and different firing weapons..."Is Shoto it's name or the kind of saber it is? And would you have picked something different for me?"

She was rolling the metallic cylinder I her hand as if looking for the right place to balance her fingers where she could also reach the buttons it had. It balanced well with her, but she wondered, now, of she'd chosen wrong...or worse, weakly.

Jacob then burst into laughter, "No, that's not it's name, Niesara. A shoto is a kind of lightsaber. It's a regular one...just...shorter."

He then pointed to the other shoto that was there. Using the Force he willed it into his hand and let his hand grip around it's hilt. Holding it firmly in one hand, the Templar then rested it in his palm before he then let it levitate over to the rack again and it rested in it's home. Jacob then stopped laughing and then looked over at her.

"You made a good choice, Niesara. Some like the shoto and some don't. Just depends on the user. Me, my hands are too big for it. Although I've used one before it just doesn't suit me. I'm more used to the norm." Jacob said pointing to the others which were normal lightsaber hilt sizes.

She frowned slightly at the laugh. True, in hindsight it was probably a rookie question. But with anything other than daggers or perhaps a sword, most weapons would be a novelty to her. Especially power weapons.

Reining in her gut reaction to lash out for being made fun of, she calmed herself enough to learn the lesson. "The others seemed too big. Like they would be awkward once the weight of the blade was added." If he told her there would be no weight, or that she was thinking wrong, she was bracing herself for that as well.

Instead of worrying about what she didn't know, and guessing, she decided to just ask questions outright. This was his reason for mentoring her, wasn't it? If she knew all the answers, she'd be a Master already.

"So there are different weapons... what are the benefits and drawbacks of the Shoto versus the regular blades, or your own staff?"

Jacob smiled, "Ah but you must know this...there is no weight to the blade."

He then knew she was merely asking questions to get a better grasp of a lightsaber. That he knew now and if he had he wouldn't have laughed as much as he did. Now he kinda felt bad for laughing as his cheeks turned a light shade of red. Brushing it off he then looked behind at his saber pike, then towards the shoto and down at his own personal blade. They all had their strengths and weaknesses. Just depended on who was using it.

"The shoto is good for someone who's got a smaller stature. Or, more or less, it's used if someone has another blade and doesn't wanna add the extra weight of their off hand of a regular lightsaber hilt. A shoto is a good blade to use with Jar'Kai. Which is the dual lightsaber form. More or less one would use a shoto in that aspect to either help defend cuz it's a bit smaller and easier to maneuver." Jacob said explaining a shoto.

Looking towards his pike he then turned back, "The saber pike...ah...that was something I wished to try out when I read about them. The Imperials used them. Well, their more infamous for using them. It's a lightsaber just with a longer handle. Better reach for the user, but, you lack maneuverability. Better offense maybe, but, you lack the room to defend against multiple attackers."

Then pointing to the regular blades, "Ah, but the regular hilts are for anyone and everyone. If it's your personal choice anyways. The lightsaber blade is pure plasma. It has no weight, Niesara. Just the hilt is the heavy part."

"Duel wielding, huh?" She raised her eyebrows at the prospect. It could come in handy. With no weight but what the hand physically held, she could use it as a surprise off hand weapon with her usual blade in her right. No one would suspect the palm sized cylinder to wield the power weapon. In close proximity it could be the actual killing blow while the other hand, the dagger, was a distraction. "I like that idea..." She whispered as the thought was finished in her mind.

Her grin turned to near wicked exhilaration as she looked back up at her Master and pressed the button closest to her finger. The energy beam that hummed to life lit her face up almost like a specter. "Teach me...." she laughed looking up at his face to see his reaction.

Jacob then smiled as she ignited the blade and asked him to teach her. With that, Jacob looked towards one of the sabers on the rack. Levitating it into his hand, the Templar ignited it once it was in his hand. The purple blade then snapped to life. Holding it in his left hand the Templar then hoped that Niesara was paying attention.

"Now, this is a key point of Shii-Cho. Stand with your feet apart, your blade held at a slight angle." Jacob said, as he was being an instructor now, "There are target zones on the body. The point of this form is to disarm your opponent. Not kill. Plus, this being the first form you'll learn it's not uncommon to fall back on it when nothing else will do."

Then Jacob showed her the opening stance of Shii-Cho. Keeping his feet apart and holding his blade at a slight angle, the Dark Jedi then held it firmly in his hand. Then looked towards Nisa to see if she would mirror his stance.

This was a lesson she wanted desperately to learn. To wield the light saber so it would become a tool and not a weapon to fear. She understood her fear of it was from lack of knowledge, but that didn't help matters any.

What did help is she was mad at herself for that irrational fear. Using that anger at herself, she quickly mirrored Jacob's stance. The blade was fighting her senses and was a bit more disconcerting than she thought. Her eyes saw a blade long enough to have balance and need adjusting in her grasp. But her physical touch on it was sensing no weight beyond the metallic cylinder in her grasp. It would take a while to get used to the fact she didn't have to put her fist in the way of an attack.

"Good." Jacob said as she mirrored his stance, "Now, come at me!"

He then winked at her as he kept his blade held firm. The Templar wanted her to attack with the blade in her hands. Hopefully she would and see what she could do. If anything he'd guide her and tell her what she did right and what needed worked on. Being a duelist himself, Jacob had seen many sides of combat. Jacob had been both a Jedi and a Sith at some part of his lifetime. Now that he was a Dark Jedi, he could do a lot more with what he had. Looking at the Force and lightsaber combat in a different perspective.

"Let the Force guide you..." Was all that he said simply.

She swung the blade a couple times to try and reconcile the weight once more. "Let the Force guide you..." he said.

He was telling her to ignore her senses, her mentality, to trust in those things that had guided her here in the first place to train as a Dark Jedi.

She squared her shoulders and took a deep breath. *It's just a sword. You can do this.* She whispered mentally.

She dropped the tip of the saber and ignored it in her periphery. Moving towards him, she slashed up towards his left side. Her aim was to catch at his side and perhaps hit his elbow.

Jacob saw her attempt as she aimed to strike his left side. Which was his dormant side. When she struck with her blade he then backed up and caught her blade and then pushed it back. Stepping back with a few quick steps he then motioned for her to attack again.

"Not bad!" Jacob said with a nod, "Again!"

He kept his blade held firmly in his grasp. Time for him to on the defense again. Jacob hoped she would attack from his right side since he wasn't dominant on that side. Then again, she was sparring with her teacher, which wasn't usually gonna prove anything. But, she was beginning to learn.

So he was strong on his left. How about the right?

She had seen him in Force use, but with a weapon, that was different.

This time instead of slashing upwards on his right, as she had on the left, she tried something different.

Standing with feet slightly parted, she took a step forward with her left foot, as if to strike at his left again. But she then rolled her wrists and turned her body to the right to spin around completely and come at his mid section on his right. It probably wouldn't catch him off guard, but hopefully would at least show she was no novice in fighting. As she did, her next attempt was already in her head.

Jacob didn't think she would try something like that at the exact moment. Still it surprised him enough that he'd over thought about it. When she spun around towards his right the strike seemed to come from the left. Even though it actually came towards his right side. Aiming right at his mid section. The Templar struggled a bit but brought his saber up.

When he did they barely locked together but the impact of her strike still sent it aiming at his rib. It connected and stung him right in the bone. He winced a moment before stepping back. Sending a rush of the Force into it, allowing him to control the pain that was stinging at him. It was distracting more or less.

"Nice one." Jacob said with a nod, "Your getting the hang of it some."

Nisa sucked a his of breath through her teeth as she saw the strike hit. She adjusted her eyes just enough to see the strike spot with the Force and frowned. Though the frown was more in confusion than being upset. "You said to tell you about being able to see the strikes, the wounds..." she nodded towards his ribs. "I could see the strike but it faded slightly. You blocked the pain, didn't you? Because I can still see it but not as sharp a when it first happened."

She them shook her head slightly as if clearing it and smiled at his congratulations. "I have a good teacher."

Jacob nodded as she asked if he blocked it. That is exactly what he did. Because it stung but he wanted to ignore it for the time being. He figured that he'd get another few hits because of his overthinking of it. Then again, he wanted to see if she could get another strike to hit him.

"I did block it." Jacob said then smiled at her compliment, "Thank you. I used to be a combat teacher when I was a Jedi."

He winked, "Again! Try again! Then after this next bout...your on defense."

Nisa nodded and smiled. She had confirmed his pain block because she was trying to figure out how her pain sight worked. She would ponder it later.

Raising her blade once more, she took half a step back and poised once more to attack.

This time, she grasped the blade with a bit more confidence. If she ignored the energy end, wielded it like a two handed dagger...

She took a deep breath and felt herself extending the Force feeling she kept around her like a blanket, slowly edge out and cover the lightsaber. She stood facing Jacob and lowered the blade straight down in front of her. As she looked up at Jacob, her mentor, she imagined herself making the moves.

Taking a breath, she let her body follow the thought. She stepped forward and swung her blade towards the left (Jacob's right). If he brought his lightsaber down to meet hers, she would allow it to be pushed completely down. But instead of backstepping, would continue the motion around to rise up on his left side, his own blade trailing it, till it hit the top. She would then swing hard and fast down his right side, aiming to move just over his arm and head for his right leg.

If it worked, she could strike his leg before he realized she wasn't backing off. Too late to swing back down and block her coming at him that direction.

Jacob then saw her come at his right side. Bringing his saber down he met hers as they crackled and hissed. Pushing hers down he thought he had the advantage until he didn't see her back step. Usually that's what would happen otherwise because if one's attack was blocked you usually stepped back to regroup for another attack. But, she let hers be pushed down by his blade.

Odd rather...but...nonetheless he didn't think of it till hers swept down and met his right leg. A burning sensation coursing through his leg. It burned into his thigh and he then stepped back. Again, sending the Force into his thigh he learned to block the pain. He'd get a medical droid to fix that later. Bringing his saber up and holding it at his side with his left hand, Jacob then nodded at his student.

"Nice job there." Jacob said slightly gritting his teeth, "Now...your turn to defend yourself."

Nisa bit her lip and pulled her blade back a split second before Jacob did. She was worried she had hurt him too badly. She had been about to ask about the wound, when her Force sight saw him block it.

When he told her to go on the defense, she lit her blade and nodded standing ready. "I am ready."

Her mind started to watch him more carefully, how he shifted and how he watched her.

She was so caught up in waiting for him to twitch with the direction he would move, that she wasn't watching his eyes. Wasn't that where she should have been looking?

Jacob at first advanced one step towards her holding his blade. The same stance as he taught her. Then Jacob took one step further. Then another. He was nearly a few feet from her until he then brought his saber over his head. In a Djem So opening move. Then, taking a swing over his head he aimed it towards slicing her in two...well if it was a real blade.

Then slicing across, the Templar then back pedaled. Taking a moment he then kept his blade over his head. Smiling at her as he then retreated back. She would need to wonder what his move would be next. Would he use the style she was, or the style he just used against her. Either way it was to keep her on her toes. She would never know who her opponent was and what they would use against her. Sometimes seeing something you've never known and even before learning it yourself was an advantage she would have.

"See what I did there?" Jacob said, "I used a completely different style then your using. Just remember...you'll never know what your opponent will use against you."

Her hand came up to cross the saber over her head like a shield as he swept towards her. When he backed up, she lowered the blade to the ready mark once more. As he sliced across, she went to block him but missed catching the blade to stop it. Her arms swung wide for balance as she jumped back a bit using her Force skill to aid in her motion.

As she regained her balance and brought both hands back to grasp her saber hilt, she nodded to his words. "I did see... you came straight at me to see my reaction. Then you hit to see my strong side." As he spoke of different techniques, she nodded once more. "So learning different styles, even if I don't master them, will give me a head's up on what to do to counter them as well as see them coming."

With a bit more confidence, she settled her feet and looking at him across the 10 feet or so between them, she smiled. "Teach me..." Her smile was almost wicked as the words came out like a challenge to him. She liked seeing him move, seeing him fight, seeing him teach... it was one of the few times he let his armored guard down, relaxed and let her see the true him.

And she liked that side of him.

Jacob smiled and nodded, "Exactly."

When she asked him to teach her, he then nodded. Holding his blade above his head and angled back, the Templar then came forward utilizing his strength as he came forward and when he closed the gap he came with wide strikes aimed towards her head. The second came across her again. Then the last, he angled his blade up and over and came down hard towards her shoulder.

The Templar then stepped back and waited for her counterattack. Though she wouldn't see that the defensive part of Djem So was more Soresu style then anything. That was why he learned it from Alen, his close friend.

She saw a change in styles and moves and watched his body as each step was calculated and executed. She didn't know the names of each move, probably wouldn't for some time. But it didn't matter.

Nisa met each blow with the appropriate counter, the last one, aimed for her shoulder, she was hard pressed to block and his blade pressed down just enough to force her blade to sting her collarbone. Jumping back as he retreated as well, she took a moment to rub the sore spot.

"Each move was different, wasn't it? I mean, I noticed the first attack was from the moves you had done earlier. But the other two, they were from something different. How many different styles are there? And is there information in the library I can study as well?" She laughed and grabbed the saber in both hands once more.

"When I'm not having them beat into by you, of course." She moved towards him this time. She did the same first two moves, to show she had seen and understood. Each one she was sure would be blocked as her own had.

Then Nisa's hands rose to strike towards his strong arm. But as he moved to counter, her goal was to ride the push of his blade down and around up to the other side, or up and over the top depending on his block, and then carry the arc beyond where his wrists could turn.

If it worked, the entire arc would bring her back to his strong arm and hopefully strike against his elbow.

Jacob ignored her questions and inquiries for the moment as she then struck with the same moves he did before. Immediately coming up he blocked them with relative ease. That was the brilliance of Form V that it incorporated the defense of Form III. As she came to strike towards his blade arm, his left, he then stepped back and parried it downward. Niesara was trying to do what he had told her and disarm him.

But, that was the thing, it was hard to with someone who used Soresu. Well, the defensive part of Djem So. He deflected it downward although it grazed his leg because he wasn't being cautious enough to keep his own defense up enough. If he hadn't side stepped he might have missed his shin completely. But, he stepped with his left into it and it grazed against it. The Templar then stepped back and then as she arced towards his arm again he then came up with speed not aided by the Force, but with muscle memory. He'd practiced this form enough that he knew the defensive parts of it like breathing.

Stepping back he then held his blade down at his left side and answered, "To answer your question...yes. There are seven styles of combat. Shii-Cho is the first form that everyone must learn. I am using Form V, Djem So. There is another variant of it called Shien. Though, as you'd seen that my defense was pretty good huh? Because my friend and fellow Dark Jedi, Alen Na'Varro had taught it to me before he went off to wherever he went."

Jacob then smiled, "You can study them in the private library below the main palace. That is where we keep everything we must know as Dark Jedi. But, Djem So utilizes Soresu defense. Well, parts of it anyways."

She murmured the different styles to herself as her mentor named them. She would look into them later, but for now, she nodded and came at him again. She brought the blade straight up as if to cleave him from bottom to top. Depending on his block, she knew it had to be in a sweep one way or the other.

"I will look them up... thank you." She nodded in respect knowing that knowledge given was also power given. He wanted to help her grow. Some mentors would tell their students to figure it out themselves.

This time, when his block came, she was going to use Force Push to keep the blades close and spin hers over and over his drawing the circle tighter till, she hoped, one hand of both would relinquish the blade for fear of being burned as the slide along one another. She would step forward, taking the chance the Force aided circles would close tightly and quickly disarm him.

She had seen it in a steel sword fight once. And now that she had the balance and trust in the weapon in her hand, she hoped to replicate that move.

Jacob simply stepped back from the blade move that would cleave him. Then when she stepped into her next attack their blades locked together. The Templar then stepped into it like she did although he didn't use simply brute strength like he would if he was attacking her. No, this would be her chance to attack him this time.

As their sabers locked he pushed closer together stepping forward. This time he flicked his wrists although at a very odd angle for him. Seeing that he couldn't disarm her himself without consequences on himself, the Templar then flicked them more and his wrists strained and he spun his forearms over to his right, and pushed their sabers down and over.

In that moment he then flung his arms as hard as he could. It sent their blades flying outta their hands at the same time. With that, Jacob smiled and then stepped back outta the way. He figured that if he couldn't disarm her without disarming himself, then it was a draw. Figuring without their weapons they would both have to use the Force. But, she was well versed the abilities of the Force for her rank.

"That was...interesting. Hadn't had that happen with any of my students so far." Jacob said with a laugh, "Jedi nor Dark Jedi."

As her move was pressed and advanced, she thought for a moment that she would lose and was about to figure out how. But momentum was on her side and his hands parted a split second before her own did.

"NO!" Her cry of dismay came and without thinking, her hand reached for the lofting blade and used Force Pull to grab it back towards her.

But she got distracted by his words and her flickered glance to him was all it took.

She managed to grab the saber, but her grip was too high and she felt her top most finger wrap around the energy and this time the cry was of pain as she quickly grabbed it with her off hand rather than drop it.

Her saber, now in her weak hand, seemed a hollow victory as she held her right hand cradled to her chest in pain. The top finger an deep angry red from the burn to her skin.

She looked at him and laughed. "So much for being impressive..." she hissed as she laughed unsure whether tears would help or make her laugh harder.

"You didn't do too bad, Niesara." Jacob said with a wink, "Considering my only choice was to disarm us both."

He then picked up his blade with the Force and then walked back over and set it down onto the rack of the others. Turning back around he then motioned for her to walk with him back towards where the shuttle would pick them up. As they walked, the Templar then shook his hand a bit and his wrists.

"Not getting any younger...man I gotta slow down." Jacob said with a laugh.

He then looked around and the ruins reminded him of a few places he'd visited over the years. The old Jedi Enclave on Corellia where the ruins had been a historical monument. More or less. Though his experience was rather bad in those moments. Still, he was alive nonetheless.

"You did fine. Couldn't say I wasn't proud of you." Jacob said with a smile, his orange eyes giving away his pride.

Nisa wasn't ungrateful the lesson ended. She wasn't sure she would have been able to take him on again with her offhand. She flicked her saber off, grabbed her gear bag and jogged to keep up as he strode away from the arena. "It made me realize that my grip was wrong. I will remember next time." Him disarming them both was a good lesson to learn. Had she been thinking, or he had been a real enemy, a nice Force Push to the chest as his eyes followed the blades would have been the perfect attack.

As he spoke of not getting any younger, she smiled and punched his arm playfully. Wincing as she realized her hand was hurt still, she bit her lip and stared at it a moment to block the pain. No point in worrying him. The pain subsided, but the angry, deep red welt was still visible, so she dropped it quickly to her side out of sight. "You aren't old, Jacob... least, I don't think you are."

When he said he was proud of her, she smiled. "Really? I want to make you proud of me. You have been so patient, so kind. I know I can't be an easy student, stubborn as I am..." She kicked a rock then used Force Push to send it as far as she could off to their left. She let it go but never heard it land in the brush. Guessing she had pushed harder than she thought, she smiled and took a couple quick steps to catch up with the long legged man. "I really do want to be a student you are proud to have trained, Jacob..." Her words trailed off realizing her feeling for him were probably leaking along with her voice. The voice she couldn't take back, but she pulled her feelings tighter, like a second skin, and covered it mentally with the energy still penned up from the practice.

Jacob said with a smile, "Good. At least you know where you went wrong."

When she punched his arm they were a football field away from the shuttle and he then laughed. It was then she said he wasn't old, and in truth he was. He was almost twice her age really. Then again he reminded her of his wife in many ways when the two were young. He could sense the sting in her hand as he had a few aches and pains in himself but they were kept at bay with the aid of the Force.

He then turned to her and said blatantly, "I'll be 40 in six months."

Niesara then smiled as he said that he was proud of her. In truth he was proud of her. She'd come so far since coming back to Ruusan and he had learned more as a teacher. Though he didn't have to learn too much there was always a different way of teaching that was certain. He was used to training others in the ways of the Jedi but nowadays he was getting the hang of training others in the ways of the Force although a different form of it.

"Your making good progress so far, Niesara, don't worry. Frell, even I'm still learning and I've been through the same things as you have. I've got a way to go myself before I reach Archon." Jacob said as he could tell she had feelings for him, but they wouldn't be rescinded back since she was more like a daughter to him then anything.

"Archon...." she nodded and smiled. "I had forgotten that was your next trial." She bit her lip and smiled. Suddenly dancing a couple steps in front of him, she moved to stop his pace and tilted her head to look up at him.

She may think of her as a daughter because of her age, but he wouldn't see a young girl in her eyes if he truly looked. "Let me help. I know I can't be someone you can truly fight with to test your mettle against, but you can still use me."

She wasn't sure how he would take the suggestion so she quickly told him. "Everything you need to do, I need to learn. Sooooo....." She clasped her hands behind her back, winced in pain realizing it still hurt and dropped them to her side continuing, "You practice the things you need to. I will try and mimic them. Your skills will be practiced and mine will be challenged. It will keep us both honest. Honestly, I haven't seen you practice much except with me. You need to get out of the Church more, Jacob."

She looked at him wondering what he would think and hoping she wasn't going to get a pat on the head and a dismissal for being cute.

Jacob then chuckled, "Actually I'm working towards Arbiter...but...your close."

When Niesara spoke of helping him in any way she could he then smirked. Well, she could help him keep up on his skills with Makashi, which he was finishing learning from Nadg'kema. She was a good combat teacher like he was when he was a Jedi. Oh so long ago. So it seemed. Time seemed to fade sometimes to the Templar.

"I appreciate your help, Niesara." Jacob said nodding, "You'll learn something knew. Well, indirectly anyways. I just learned Makashi wasn't willing to try it on ya just yet. Maybe another time you'll see it."

Glad she had won that small victory, she was willing to not press anything further. "Good."

Moving back to his side, nearly to the shuttle, she laughed. "I can take it, Jacob. You trying Makashi on me, I mean. We both need to be better. And I see no reason you should be held back just because you have to teach me. I know it takes a lot out of you. So this way, you could do two things at once."

She laughed and winked glancing sideways at him. "Now if we could just get the books to balance while we were up here..." She laughed and preceded him into the ship, glad he had accepted. She knew his past, well... some of it... and knew he needed this, needed to rise to Master, perhaps for more reasons than her.

She would see to it he did... and on his heels, herself.
