-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FERAE: Working the bellows only until they achieved a proper red he spoke to a apprentice, “Keep them this color, and only this color, no hotter nor colder or you will ruin the steel.” Moving now through the area he took up a jar of oils, smelling them he nodded and poured a portion of the jar into the coals near where he set the blade into the coals. He instructed the blacksmith as he did so to never allow the oils to pour directly upon the steel, the stench of the smoke that rose was sickening but quick. Shifting the blade only slightly in the coals he brought out the blade, the orange almost white color of the blade met with a nod from Fera as he continued his monologue and teaching, “To work best with steel, to temper and keep it we much roll it, folding the flatness repeatedly for no less than 80 times.” The Smithy began to argue, his gruff voice saying, “But tha’ would surely take too long..” Though as Fera hammered, thinner and thinner along the now sweeping curve of the blade he shook his head saying, “Would you like to make more weapons, or better weapons Master Smithy?” Turning he saw General Nara, then from the corner of his eye he noted the Healer Lea move within a tent across the way. Looking once more to the steel he worked he hammered a few more times twisting the blade quickly he looked for the coloring, “Too much steel here,” *tap* “and here,” *tap*. The sparks showered as he slammed the hammer down upon the blade and anvil, “ the cooling should be more even, we need to fix this. Keep rolling the steel, allow the blade to be no more then two fingers in width the entire length. “ Holding out the hammer he shoved the blade back into the coals where he had poured the oils, the sharp hiss caused more oils to smolder in the embers.
FEREIO: I sat down and started reading several spell books and taking notes and key words and even hand gestures necessary for the spells. I had found some spells I have never seen before and studying them ferociously. I knew that a spells is usually created out of three maybe four things. The incantation, magic’s, hand signs, and some times a item that is focused or used up. This always made me wonder if I used a different incantation or a different hand signals could it be possible to make a new spell. Well with the notes I have now maybe I can tinker with it later. I already written with out error the spells that are what I am looking for and similar to the spells to compare and well mismatch the phrases and hand jesters to make the spell I am looking for. Of course before that I should find some one that I can ask and check my notes. So I stand and look for a higher ranked wizard to ask about my notes. Of course it is difficult since things are always busy but it is always worth a shot. Finally after a good two hours and even assisting with any casting I can I get some assistance with my notes.
LEA: She looked at the stone flooring of the triage tent and shook her head. Heading towards the well, she took and filled a bucket with water, then carried it back to the triage area. Gathering some soap and scrub brushes, the elf got down on her knees and started to scrub the rocks to get the blood stains off of them and prevent the vitae from starting to smell as it festered there. While she scrubbed she let her mind become lost in the past. In the infirmary, Rose sat with a soldier and washed him as he rested from his battles. He was a particularly difficult case in that he had lost a leg and there magic users were working to restore the appendage. But that took time and the man was in a lot of pain when not sedated.
MINORI: Lizbet had woken up hours later and and read the note not believing that Minori had been so stupid to go out alone much less leave her there alone. She grabbed her cloak and went down to the inn's bar and order a light drink and waited on Minori as she was told in the note. After another thirty minutes of waiting watching a bar fight Minori walks into the place and Minori got to a chair and sat down and looked at the man tending to the bar. " Please get me a bottle of your strongest stuff." Turning to Lizbet. " We need to talk upstairs." Minori said grabbing his bottle and going upstairs and Lizbet followed. The one thing shocking was Minori was not big on drinking and in the little time Him and her had traveled she didn't see him as one of those men that drank unless there was celebration or he was gonna tell her something that wasn't good. Once in the room the thoughts of him leaving like he did had left. " Minori what is it? I've never seen you ask for such strong liqour much less any." She sat across from him as he took a large gulp and shivered from its strength coughing a little. Then he started. " I've thought of a way into the secure enclosure....I can go in disguised as a "bends his fingers a little. " Servant but I need you to sell me in to the guy but make sure he understands I am not to be used for his pleasures." He said shivering. " Are you mad you will be in there with no weapons, and I won't be able to help you." Minori interrupts. " Unless I can get you inside from the inside. " Lizbet listened to more of what he had to say as they planned it as careful as possible.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WOLF: The world around Wolf was taken in note to be beautiful but he was not about too start taking any chances in such beauty, because even roses have there thorns. Looking towards the first mate Two Five Six, a giant man at 7ft tall with a 4ft by wide shield upon his back and a 6ft spear slung beneath it. He wore no shirt on his back only a town around his hips. Upon his head he wore a odd looking helmet he had crafted himself with horse hairs upon it in the center making a line (The Greek helmets) Wolfknightrider quickly waves him over after the men had finished pulling the small ship ashore and softly told him too go off into the woods and check to be sure there was safe passage and a good place to camp. Then his deep male tone with a demanding tone towards another soldier with what looked a light blue color hair most like from some sort of die from our Wolf's home land he had dark blue eyes and a nice set of armor to go with it, a easy target if caught alone in the woods. Which would give Wolf a reason to send Two Five Six off so that Zildrick don't find himself dead, because though he was a easy target he never went down without a grand fight for the end, quickly Wolf would order him to began gathering dismantling the ship and began building a small wagon for some of the supplies, but not too big so that they would slow them down. And nothing of grave importance would be kept within so the wagon could be left behind with ease.
NARA: Nara continued to watch the activity within the smithy, feeling sweat beginning to trickle down her back from the heat of the forge against her dark leather armor. Still, the conversation was interesting, though the smith seemed to find the idea of folding steel 80 times to be excessive. Still, if it made for strong weapons, it would benefit the troops in that they would be less likely to damage their weapons in battle, causing more work in the long run. Pushing away from the wall, she nodded to a couple of the apprentices, who started on seeing her, their focus having been intent on what the Elven Lord was telling the Smith. "It might mean more work at the beginning, Smith, but consider how it might actually reduce work in the long run by your not having to create as many weapons for all those that get damaged." She chuckled, slapping the burly man lightly on the shoulder in encouragement. "Lord Aleanghymn, how well would such steel take to having spell embued in them and would it have to be done while the steel is being worked? And can such techniques also strengthen armor as well?" she asked, turning her attention to the elven lord, a slight smile touching her lips. This near the fire, sweat began to bead on her forehead and to dampen her locks, causing the dark tresses to curl more in the heat and she gave an inward chuckle, thinking already of a bath and how the servants would react. They already felt that she and Adrian bathed too much, but as her father stated, if they smelled, they could be tracked. Out of the corner of her eye, she notice Lea on her knees, scrubbing the cobblestones over which the healers tent was placed and frowned. Touching one of the apprentices, she whispered softly in his ear, advising him to get one of the servants to come and aid the elven maid, rather than having her do it, or at least, if she insisted, on aiding her with the task. The apprentice nodded and with a glance at his master, who nodded, sprinted off to do her bidding. The mage who Fereio had located smiled benignly at him as they went over the spells he knew, as well as working on the spells that he wished to discuss in his spell book. As they worked, he showed Fereio some of the ways that they had learned to shorten the gestures that were needed for the spells, without them losing power, some of the things that they had to learn in order to combat the magics of the mages of the Corrupt Nobles.
FERAE: Turning he listened and nodded in agreement to Nara’s words of less weapons and less work all in all. Checking the steel only peripherally he handed the tongs to a apprentice and spoke in a soft uninterrupting tone, “Fold the steel, don’t work it past the deepest shade of red.” Dusting his hands upon his soft white jacket he reached beneath its folds for a handkerchief, dusting and dabbing his brow as he dried his now perspired skin. Nodding once more to General Nara’s questions he spoke in a matter of fact way, “ If you would bleed the animals you butcher into a bucket, and quench the heat of the steel with this several times in the process you will find your spells hold more to the steel. “ Stepping from the forge a bit more he looked to Lea upon her hands and knees scrubbing the stones, his words continuing as he watched , “ this will seem barbaric I know, but considering most magics hold tighter to flesh and blood then to steel and the dead, you will find the traces of organics in the metallurgy of great use. Any spell of hardening should be done in the working of the steels, any spell of malice or disease such as poisoning should be done in the same manner. For etchings and runic workings, only when the blade has held it’s blood grooving should the spell be worked upon the blade, when it is birthed and before battle. Armor, weaponry and implements of farming such as your plows will greatly improve in their resilience by this treatment, I will temper this blade to show how to harden them properly without the uses of magic as well.” Dusting off his jacket once more he turned to General Nara, “I understand you are having troubles with some of the wounded, perhaps your healer will permit assistance or advice?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FEREIO: After some good time talking over my notes with the women she tells me some good combinations of spell that I should be able to cast together and may actually succeed. I was told not to name the spell until I see the full effect of it. So I ask the lady who come and watch the effect to help me figure out what really happen. The spell starts off fine except I stumble threw two of the words and the magic flowing around my hands starts to spark. Then miles away from town there is a burst of light a nice sounding burst of sound and sparks of electricity coming from a hallow tree that a large group of troupes are walking past. They all go on the defensive from the sound searching for anything. I step out covered in soot but not harmed. Stumbling a bit from the weird feeling you get after a teleportation. Of course this is not what I meant for the spell to do. But I notice the troupes and quickly recognize the weapons and outfits. I raise my hand calling out thin eleven then followed my gnome. Halfling. Dwarves and a couple others. “I am Fereio Tres, please do not harm me I am a ally of yours. I the slowly take out my bow and show the small crest on the front.
LEA: So lost in her thoughts, she never heard Ferae’s words to Nara. Only when she heard the familiar cry of her 6 month old baby, did her attention draw from the task at hand. Standing, she wiped her hands on her apron and took her Lissionna from the approaching servant. Lea began to whisper softly in Qualinest (wood elf) to the dark haired child, soothing her tears with hugs and kisses. Placing the child over her should she walked with her towards the main gate and back again. The babe cooing in her mother’s arms.
MINORI: Both had spent the evening adjusting Minori's plan which was for him to go into his female form and in said disguise go within the structure and get alone and then get Lizbet in somehow and then go find any paper information or even overhear any information on the man they where supoosed to figure out what happened to. Minori would first wake up the next morning head throbbing. Lizbet was already up and had some water nearby. "You ready." Minori looked at her. " I will be soon I hope" He said going to a chair to get the start of the plan going
WOLF: Would quickly spins around drawing his sword, the men were still on the beach but there was still Two Five Six out there and it didn't sound too good. Making quick he rushes towards the direction were Two Five Six had fallen backwards from the sound, but he quickly makes too his feet and draws the spear and shield from his back and makes himself too the ready, he then looks over as Wolfknightrider and the other 8 troops rush with swords drawn and shields. Wolf in the lead approaching the strangers Two Five Six Backing up into the group joining the others. Wolf slowly steps towards the stranger and takes in his every detail of his face, quickly spotting any weapons within his person. Wolfknightrider wore a light white colored plate armor with a wolf on his chest a longsword placed within *The ground, slightly long gray and black hair and light green eyes. His voice speaks towards the man having shown to aggression one hand moving back to order the others to lower there weapons "I am 10th Gold Bar Wolfknightrider of The Pararol Imperial Army leader of Black Dagger and these are my men" looking towards Two Five Six and Zildrick he points to the two then says "And these are my 9th Gold Bars we hail from a place called Pararol, but in your tongue you may know it by Darnassus. Pleased to meet you."
NARA: Nara nodded as Lord Aleang'hymn spoke of how to set the spells within the steel and made a mental note to have Reaver speak to him, as he was working with the mages in regards to the setting of spells within their weapons and armor. She really hadn't thought of the uses of the strengthened steel for other things, such as plows and the like, but could also see the value of stronger steel for the farm implements. It would mean less time needing in plowing, as well as sharp scythes when the farmers cut the wheat at harvest time. She gave a feral grin. And since those farmers also tended to use there implements for weapons when the need arose, it would also mean that they would healers to Lea. I tend to be far better at making wounds than in curing them and thus know when to step aside to those whose expertise far outshine mine. We can go and speak with her and see if she would have any objection." She glanced about then, finally noticing that he was alone and without escort and her lips twitched. "I see that Pali and Shadi have allowed you to escape from their perusal. I feel flattered that they feel comfortable enough to allow you to roam amongst us without a shadow."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FERAE: Ferae nodded slowly to Nara’s words though turned his attention to the call of a child and to Lea’s quick motions towards the servant that brought it. Catching the tongue, though the dialect was similar to one he knew it wasn’t quite the same. His eyes followed her as she carried the young one away, his words to Nara as he continued to watch, “Inform your healers that perhaps if they wish it, I offer advice and aid. As for Shadi’shol and Pali'shol, they are below with the troops brought in, informing many of them to return to Sale'loria.” Turning his head quickly from his observation of Lea and the child he looked to a higher level of the keep. His head twisting as did his body as he felt the twinges of magic that moved swiftly. Looking to the wall where the mage had shifted himself somehow, he only felt for the magics though couldn’t place them. Turning to Nara he spoke, his words as always toned so as not to intrude on other conversations , though loud enough not to be mistaken by any that listened to him, “General Nara, my senses have yet to become accustomed to the scent of the carnivorous. Is there a possibility that I ask you to step down wind. The scent is quite assaulting to the senses.” His eyes turned toward hers, the same expressionless look to them as he awaited her answer.
FEREIO: The leader motioned for a fighter to move forward and check the mark. Eying it for a moment the man turned lax and knowing the counties crest. It was something so simple but at the same time original. No one in there right mind would think it was a crest epically combined with the other designs on the bow. It was cleverly hidden in plain sight. Something out blacksmiths and engineers lived to do. Every one dropped there bows and sheathed there weapons and made room in the higher ranks of the troupes next to one of the leading generals. On the way along with explaining the situation of everything that is going on and that has happened he gave directions to where to go to make it as secretly as possible, even to the point to where he would head out a head with his invisibility ring active and an other scout with a similar way to hide to run back and fourth offering passing threw difficult situations. Even to the point of making distractions so that they could pass..
PALI: Pali frowned. She had gone away at Ferae's behest and was nearly to the bottom when she glanced at Shadi and growled. "He did it again!" She narrowed her eyes as her mind sent to her Prince that he had better remain safe or she would see personally to aggravating his wounds. "Shadi, see to the guard please. I can't believe he sent us BOTH away. A'EL MAS!! ((Egg shards- basic curse))" She wheeled around without awaiting his response and rode hard for the top of the switchback. Shadi laughed. It wasn't as if he were in danger, but he knew since they hadn't even been there a full moon cycle yet, Pali would be on edge always. He continued his easy gait down to the bottom to let them know the message the prince had sent. Though he did amend it so that about two dozen of the near 300 remained just within the wood line to send signal or receive it should trouble arise. Pali rode hard into the courtyard and didn't even come to a full stop before dismounting and asking everyone she passed where the elven Prince was. She was pointed in his general direction and continued her muttering tirade to his mind as her hand fondled her pommel. They were among HUMANS! How could he already trust them so much as to let BOTH his Shield and his Sword from his side? She growled once more as she continued to look for him.
NARA: A light smile touch Nara's lips as she watched Lea take her daughter, though her eyes held a hint of pain and sadness. From what Lea had been able to tell them, she knew that the child could well prove to be a danger to them all, yet in her heart, she knew that she could not coldly order the death of a child. Even at the birth of her twins, the Nobles had sent a message to the birthing chamber in the form of a burning Phoenix, possibly a message of danger to the children or those within the keep through them. She could no more order Lea's child's death than she could her own. Shaking her head, she turned her attention back to Lord Aleang'hymn, brows lifting as he spoke of some of his troops leaving. "I fear that with all that has been going on, Lord Aleang'hymn," she said with a grimace, thinking of all the excuses she'd had to come up with to flee the preparations for THE WEDDING, "That we have not been the most cordial of hosts. I hope that we have not offended you in some way that you feel it necessary to send your troops away?" When he finished his speech, Nara burst out in laughter. "And here you are, amidst a whole tribe of carnivores. Forgive me, milord, for not having thought of it sooner!Stepping away from him, wetting a finger and raising it, she checked the direction of the wind, her lips twitching before she moved into a position that would place her downwind of him. "I hope that this is better," she spoke lightly, glancing over at him. "In fact, Lord Aleang'hymn, if it would be more comfortable, we could set up a pavilion without the walls and far enough away from the fortress as to alleviate some of that discomfort. There are clearings and woods enough for such and we could furnish it well for your comfort, as well as for Pali and Shadi." Glancing to the side, she notice Pali heading their way and smothered laughter at the way the elven woman seemed to stalk through and around the people of the fortress, her intense eyes searching for her prince. Raising a hand to assist her, she said in a teasing and light aside, "Seems as if one of your shadows has decided you were bring remiss."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FERAE: His brows furrowed slightly as he felt the onset of the almost tyrannical tirade Pali sent to his mind, berating him for being careless. Shaking his head only slightly his facial features shifted to the natural blankness though the slight beads of sweat showed he was feeling the headache. He knew he didn’t have to draw attention to himself, that she’d see him and continue her complaints, he’d grown accustom to them since he’d started slipping from their watchful eyes once in a while. Nodding to Nara he spoke, “ The troops are being removed not out of insult but protection, I have noted a rather disturbing effect on the sylvan within the compound, I would rather such did not occur with my men. “ Turning slowly as he followed her movements toward downwind he nodded once more, “Appreciated”, the tirade causing him to look upwind now as Pali came into view and was more and more present in his mind. Nara’s words echoing some of his own thoughts as he thought quite loudly, “Byr byrn ( Not now)”
PALI: Pali was about to speak when his words echoed loud and clear in her head. *Not now..." She bit her lip and instead merely forced a smile to Nara as a small bow followed. "Forgive me, Mlady." Turning back to Ferae, she smiled sweetly but he would know it was for show. "Mlord Ferae, Shadi is relaying your words to the troops. I saw to it he made it there and he will return and see us at evening meal." Backing up slightly to let them continue their conversation, she adjusted the shifted sword belt and her eyes narrowed slightly looking around. Something was here... or had been here. Something with enough power to leave a trace in its absence. She shook her head absently and cleared her face of the sign she had felt anything. Stepping back a bit more she whispered to Ferae's mind. *Something powerful was recently here. What is going on?* The words were not merely inquisitive, they were accusatory. She had the feeling something was still being hidden from her and she didn't like it one bit. Even if no one else realized what was happening around them... that only made it worse.
NARA: Nara watched as Lea left the area and took her daughter with her, heading up to the fortress, a frown between her brows. Something was going on with Lea. What, she didn't know. She had noticed that Captain Ironhelm had been keeping close tabs on the healer, though he was trying to be discreet. Had something gone wrong between them that she should be aware of? If so, it could affect morale. Shaking her head to clear it, she turned her attention back to Lord Aleang'hymn and Pali, another concern touching her. "And what affect would that be, Lord Aleang'hymn? Neither Adrian nor I would like to cause any stress or discomfort to you or your troops and if there is something that can be done to alleviate it, we would strive to try." Once again her attention was drawn away as the flutter of robes caught her attention and she stiffened until she saw that it was one of their mages and not one of her female relatives. She looked worried as she approached, though her expression cleared a little as she saw Nara. "General Lasheea, there's been a slight...mishap," the woman stated as she approached, nodding in greeting to Fera and Pali. "That youngster from across the sea, well he tried a new spell, one he was trying to put together and came to talk to me about." She danced nervously on her feet, twisting her hands. "He's alright," she said quickly to allay any questions. "It's just that he's not here." Nara looked at the woman, her expression puzzled. "What do you mean, not here?" she asked. "Well, he wasn't real sure exactly what the spell might do, being an experiment and all. I think, from what I saw of the spell, it might have been some kind of transportation spell. Seems it was, because he's now about 4 days ride from us, nearly to that castle we used to be in." Nara blinked, then began to curse softly under her breath. "Reaver's gonna skin him
PALI: Pali frowned. That was what she felt. Arcane magic gone awry. When a spell follows the mind of the casting mage, it flows with nature and works right. When it goes against the mage's desires, it fluxes like a deep inhaled breath in the umbra and within nature itself. The child had not ended where his thoughts had wanted, so he was not in tune with the magic. He had doubted, or mispronounced, or some other misstep that had caused it to go awry. She shook her head and murmured a word that would have translated to 'novice' had there truly been a translation for it. Sighing she shuddered. The magic that had tainted the area around Ferae was fading swiftly, but it dawned on her that the magic this woman spoke of was not the same. So there was more than one gifted within these walls... interesting. She watched as Ferae seemed deep in thought. Smiling she glanced at Nara as the woman seemed concerned."He will be fine. There is no need to concern yourself, surely. I mean a mage strong enough to move himself should be able to merely find his way home by re-incanting the spell and focusing here. Surely he learned that about the spell before he cast it, right?" She raised a brow in query as if asking if pigs snort or donkey's bray. All mages knew that you studied a spell and knew how to counter its affects prior to using it to be sure it would not cause harm.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NARA: At Pali's words Nara looked at the mage, lifting a brow in question and the mage shook her head and Nara shuddered. "But you know he's alive?" The woman nodded. "He'd come to me with his spell book and was talking about this spell he wished to create. I didn't expect him to try it!" Nara groaned, lifted her hand and dropped her head into it. "And with all you and Reaver have explained to me about how the twisting of magics by the Nobles has affected the magical fields..." Lifting her head, she sighed and smiled smiled wanely at Pali. "It seems not all mages chose to study before implementing things. And some are a bit more rash than others." Looking back at the mage, she smiled at her reassuringly. "Well, hopefully he'll wait this time. You said he was alive and only 4 days away, towards old Highwinds. I'll send a patrol out to meet him." Reassured the mage nodded and turned away, heading back to the mages hall. "Reaver is definitely going to have his hide. Doing an unknown spell, in the open, probably no protections..." She gave a shudder, then looked over at Fera and seeing his concentration centered on something, turned back to Pali. "I hope that you'll forgive the disruption though. Some of our people tend to be...impatient." She gave a rueful smile, thinking of her own family as well. "We tend to take what seems to be inordinate risks to those who have longer life spans than we do." She shook her head, continuing. "I also hope that the female contingent of my family hasn't been too intrusive. I fear that they have the bit between their teeth in regards to THE WEDDING and nothing I or Adrian has said has made much of a dent. They feel it must be spectacular as Adrian and I have, inadvertently, in their minds, become landed gentry with this fortress."
FERAE: He stood there stock still, he had learned to control many things over the course of his years and one of the things he had learned was to put it mildly, how to feel without being felt. His eyes closed and his breathing slowed, the taint of the magics he felt were strong and close at hand, not that of the unorthodox mage but different. Opening his eyes he could almost see the haze of the path taken, it was the path of the child Lea had held in her arms, that child, he was the cursed one spoken about in the glade. His nostrils flared slightly as his hand brushed over the hilt of his blade on his hip, his every muscle going rigid then loose. Nodding slowly to himself he spoke in thoughts he knew Pali could hear, “That child is the cursed one we were told of, he could be tracked here by the sons of Chorister. Inform Shadi I want patrols doubled and our units thinned around the area, I want word if so much as a single human comes or goes from the keep.” Looking around as if something were in the air rather then the aura he turned and looked to Nara once more, “The pavilion will not be necessary, it’s merely that the sylvan within your compound are, different, their association with humans possibly, I don’t know. They no longer see things objectively in their views, they hold no pride for their race it seems, and one in particular seems to take offense to the most basic of questions or comments.” Removing his hand from the hilt of his blade he slid his fingers to his belt buckle, the ringing of metal bringing another thought to mind, his head turning slightly to some of the troops on patrol in the courtyard as he spoke, “I would like to speak to the one in charge of your weaponry in the keep, it would be easier to assess that which we can offer militarily if I may witness some of your weaponry first hand.”
