-The mandalorian's bright yellow eyes looked up at Liz. Despite him telling her not to worry; she still seemed to worry. Kote had already told the doctor he was fine, and truly he felt fine. But all the kaminoan wanted to do was to check his breathing. She had done so and asked several times over if he was okay. The same response remained... "I am fine." But sitting up the way he did; had put some strain on his body. Simply because, he hadn't been in an upright position in nearly three weeks. And those three weeks ago he had his surgery.- "You are a stubborn one; aren't you Tal?" -It wasn't much of a question directed at the mandalorian High General; more of a statement.... at most. His eyes turned over to the doctor who stood there hovering over him.- "Why don't you lay back down and rest."
-Still, somehow, both he and Liz were still holding hands. However, in the long run; Kote was happy that he made progress. He moved his body carefully, and placed his head in the pillow on his bed. The doctor moved over hitting a button on the side of the bed slowly raising it. Now in a more upright position -- thanks to some adjustments to the bed -- Kote had a better view of the room. She leaned in and placed her slender hand on his chest; checking his breathing more. After a while she backed away and smiled.-
"Everything looks good," -She said calmly.- "I'd say in another three hours we try to get you to stand on your feet. But for now it'll be good to rest."
"Alright," -Tal responded.- "Sounds good to me."
-The kaminoan nodded calmly and turned leaving the room with the nurses. Now only Liz and Tal remained. For a moment the blond mandalorian closed his eyes feeling a little more relieved. Overall, he was happy that he was able to move his prosthetic arm, but relieved that the kaminoan had finally left.-

Liz was glad the doctor wasn't going to push Tal further. She was worried for him. Mandelorian stubbornness was something she was familiar with from their past history.
When the doctor had left the room, she felt Tal relax and smiled watching him close his eyes. His arm which had crossed his chest to clasp her hand had released her and now rested on his stomach. She touched it lightly and smiled. "You need to sleep, hun." Her voice was soft, nearly a whisper.
She rose up slightly to kiss his forehead and sat back down. Before he opened his eyes again, she leaned down and rested her head on his metallic shoulder. Her arm rested over him so she could hold the hand he could feel with. "I'm so very proud of you, Tal. I know this can't be easy for you." She wasn't watching his face, just feeling the cool metal under her cheek shift slightly with each breath he took.

-The blond mandalorian laid there peacefully; his breathing calm. His yellow eyes wandered over to her; the hand that sensation of touch gently holding onto hers. After a while his eyes closed once more; drifting off into sleep. The sounds of medical equipment slowly drifting away. It was peaceful and nice. Telos and Mandalore weren't like Naboo at all. A planet that kept the peace and remained neutral. Nothing could go wrong?-
"Lock all the doors!' -Came a voice.- "Secure the patients!"
-His eyes opened to a sound and shifted over to his door. From the medium-sized window he could see people running through the halls. Some where patients and some where doctors, nurses, and other medical staff. The voice he heard before had trailed off and was muffled from the walls and doors.-

Alizabeth was sleeping. She hadn't done that in more than a day and was hard out when the shouting started. It wasn't till something slowly sifted into her dreams that she realized something was wrong.
They were sitting somewhere. She couldn't exactly figure it out. But she was leaning against him and he was leaning on a tree. For no reason, she started hearing voices in the wind to lock the doors. She looked up at Tal in her dream and his mouth yelled at her to secure the patients.
She opened her eyes to feel Tal's heart racing. She tensed without moving from where she lay with her head resting on his chest. "What is going on?" She whispered. She could hear chaos ensuing outside the door. She had enough training to know that whatever was happening wasn't just a normal rush because of an emergency.
She remained still, eyes half closed, unsure if her movement would jeopardize their position... whatever that was.

-Kote's yellow eyes remained on the door; watching it carefully and closely. His heart beating rather quickly. Swallowing his eyes lowered down to Liz who remained still and calm. The training she had received was working, but this situation worried the mandalorian. He couldn't say if it was safe to move or to just simply stay still? He wanted to move; his body was telling him to get up and investigate. What was stopping him? The most recent surgery he had on his back... that's what.- "I don't know but it doesn't sound good." -His yellow eyes refocused back on the door.-
-Someone had stopped in front of it... a nurse maybe? She was staring off in the hallway at something else. He couldn't figure out what though. He tried to focus in on her. She was trembling.... paralyzed with fear. The expression on her face and even tears in her eyes. Then something had happened! Blood splattered on the window of the door. All he could see was the nurse dropping to the ground.-
What was that? -Came the thought.-
-He couldn't pin-point what exactly happened, but it seemed as though as the nurse was killed. Someone was shooting up the hospital. Although he didn't hear a gunshot of any kind. This worried him. Yellow eyes glanced down over to Liz. Screaming and shouting still sounded the rooms and halls of the hospital. What could they possibly do?-

Liz lifted her head as she saw the shadow cross the floor from the nurse pausing at the door. When the small window shadowed itself in the red vitae of the woman who had been there, one thought went through her mind. She said it out loud, though wasn't aware it hadn't just been a thought.
"Pulse pistol...." That was the only weapon she could think of that did that damage without the hard pop sound of a lazer blaster.
She rose up as if in a dream and headed for the door. "I need to find you a hover chair. We need to get out of here if possible, hide if not." Her body shuddered slightly as the year of her escape came sharply into focus. Crawling around air ducts and maintenance tubes... lieing... cheating... selling whatever she could... even killing.
Could she do it all again? She turned her sights back to the man on the bed and wasn't aware of what he saw. He would see her hair, tossled from sleep. The soft crimson where her cheek had been pressed to the metal of his torso was more pronounced from the paleness of worry creasing her brow. And while her body screamed of fear and a desire to run, her eyes were a crystal piercing blue that were almost eerily calm as if behind them she was coming up with an idea. She stared at Tal and was about to ask him something but wasn't sure he would agree.
"I have to go get you a chair..." Her fists were clenched tightly at her side. And her body was taunt with a desire to run but shuddering from being held in check like a half pulled bow string.
Another thing she didn't realize was that she was now standing in front of the door and her head was plainly visible to anyone looking towards the room.

-Fear....he could see it in Liz's body language. The way she stood and carried herself through the room and up to the door. It was there; she was scared and frozen solid with fear. She wanted to run? Her body shook several times. While he remained calm and quiet; laying in his bed witnessing the same exact thing that she had. The nurse was shot by a silenced weapon. Otherwise; he would of heard the weapon sound off. But the matter that a single shot was able to kill off a nurse; that had the blond's interest almost instantly.-
What can we do...? -That single thought ran through his head.-
-He blinked and looked down at his chest; his breathing calm and mellow. There was a risk to trying to stand. Possible damage, paralysis... he understood that much. He needed to take it slow and steady. The surgery had taken a toll on his body, and he was only 25% healed. After a while; he looked back over to Liz who still seemed surprised.-
PTSD... she's in shock? -He hopped.-
"Liz," -Tal said calmly.- "Calm down; you need to relax and calm down. Control your breathing... relax your muscles. Don't rush yourself. Just relax..." -The mandalorian himself had experienced PTSD before; only with speeder bike crash he had experienced. The same crash that costed him his right arm and leg. All happened back when he was Lieutenant within the Devil Dogs. That traumatic event gave him nightmares and a shaking feeling that he had whenever he watched a swoop race. However, with some help he was able to overcome it and relax himself. Slowly he lifted himself up; being careful in the process.- "Liz... relax and step away from the door. Whoever is out there will see you. Please."
-He didn't want to have the experience of seeing a politicians dead body on the ground. Nor have to explain to Chief of State Adrian what happened. Kote was High General and Mandalorian; he still held onto that duty of wanting to protect Liz... even if he wasn't at 100%.-

His name was like a trigger. She jumped slightly but then she calmed. She closed her eyes a moment and nodded. Taking two deep breaths, she let them out and walked back towards Tal. She was in control again and the Intern he had trained and dealt with on the Drunkenwell mission.
Without realizing it, she understood that as well. "Tell me what to do, Tal." It wasn't a plea, it was a statement. Somehow she knew this was his arena more than hers. Debates, reconciliations, even negotiations, she was the professional at that. But this, this was out of her ability and she knew it.
Her body slowly relaxed and while the fear was still there behind her eyes, he would know she would not falter in anything he told her.

-Sitting himself up once more; his eyes remained calm and focused. His breathing calm as well. He lifted his hand up and placed it on her shoulder; to ensure that she remained calm. Kote was well trained in excitement. Well familiar with this kind of situation; he knew the best possible solution was to try and leave. His eyes looked out the window. They were on the tenth floor of the building, and had to travel down to the first floor at least to get out. His gaze fell upon the machines he was still hooked up to.-
It's the only way, -He thought to himself.-
-His hand removed itself from her shoulder. Reaching over he removed the IV line in his arm, the connectors that monitored his heart, and finally that 'device' that helped him with the bathroom. Lifting his prosthetic up slowly he removed the covers showing the full length of his body. While the top portion didn't have anything on -- save for the bandages that covered his surgical scar -- his legs had silky blue pants on and no shoes. Eyes soon lifted back over to Liz.- "I need you to help me stand and walk, Liz?" -The question was more like a statement.- "The only way for us to get out of here safely is to leave." -He turned himself to the edge of the bed; feet barely touching the ground. The prosthetic left leg visible only by the foot.-
-Knowing well; Kote was prepared to fight as well.-
"Please Liz; you have to help me." -Yellow eyes remained calm. While his hands remained still at the edge of the bed; he knew well that this would be his first attempt to stand and walk. But they had to do something.-

Liz felt his touch and somehow, like in training, and one the times of doubt during their mission, it grounded her. She drew strength from him and nodded as she mentioned needing to get away. But as he moved, she did as well. She turned off the monitors as he removed them so alarms wouldn't go off and as he removed the catheter she helped with as much ability as she could and helped untangle the sheets till he had his legs now hanging off the side of the bed. "You need clothes." She stated matter-of-factly.
Moving to the closet she exhaled a sigh of relief to see clothes there. She hoped they were his. Grabbing them and the boots, she moved back to the bed. "Let's get you dressed. And no standing on formality and worries of dignity. If you can't get dressed, Tal... you can't get out of here. And while not winter, it's definitely cold outside."
She stood before him and handed him his clothes helping as she could... that he would allow. Had this been any other situation, she would have been embarrassed and demure. It had been far too long since she had been with a man. But for some reason, while she did blush as the lower sheets moved, she remained calm and tried her best to help him.

-There was no arguing in that logic; if he couldn't get dressed. Then sure enough there was no way of them escaping here alive. The cloths she had pulled from the closet were simple. A button-down collared shirt, loose fitting pants, and boots. Really all he had to do was put his arms through the shirts holes and slide the pants on. Easy enough, right? Well for one who didn't have back surgery... sure. In Kote's case; it was a little more difficult to put the pants on. He had been able to put the shirt on; covering up his back, and left it unbuttoned showing his chest and abdomen off. The bandages covered mostly everything. Removing the bed pants was easy; however, putting on the new pair of pants was a little difficult to the blond. Carefully, he slid one leg in and followed by another. Adjusting himself he was finally able to pull them up. With the boots he had some help with getting them on and tying them. He was now dressed and looked better then those silly bed cloths he was wearing. His blond hair had grown within the three weeks of being here; so he didn't look like he used to when they were on Telos.-
Good, -He thought.- Not totally useless.
-Yellow eyes motioned over to Liz; within the halls of the hospital the mandalorian could still hear screaming and yellow. Panic seemed to increase throughout the entire facility. This alone confused him enough; he figured that Naboo was a peaceful world. For an attack to come like this... there was no question behind it. Or answer! This was something that needed to be investigated. However, Kote couldn't do much in his condition to investigate. The main focus was escaping alive.-
"You ready for this?" -Hands remained still and firm against the bed. His feet were touching the ground, but not by much. Tal could very well feel it, but hadn't put any pressure on his legs to stand up yet. He wanted to make sure that Liz was ready to assist him. After all; he wasn't light in weight. With the prosthetic limbs he was about 175 lbs. So he only hoped that movement wouldn't be to hard for them. Especially when it came to walking.-

Liz helped without seeming to. Holding his boot laces out of the way, or bringing his shirt sleeve within reach, she made sure Tal did a majority of the work so he wouldn't feel she was babying him. She did take over fastening the boots because she didn't want either of them going down because of them. This was going to be hard enough without added troubles.
As she stood up and was about to nod her readiness, another blast of something hit the room's door. A small squeak fell from her lips, but it was mostly surprise and was quickly silenced. The flimsy material was meant to hide, not shield the occupants and a small burn mark appeared on their side of the plas door. She jumped and turned with her arms slightly out as if merely standing there she could have protected Tal from whatever was happening.
"I am ready." Her voice growled lightly. She was mad now. Mad their calm day had been ruined, mad because Tal was forced to more sooner than he was ready, and mad because Tal had needed to calm her down. Her heart was still racing, there was no helping that. And her body was still taunt as a firing pin half cocked. Again, that couldn't be helped. But what could be helped was her inability to react. And he had given that back to her.
Counting to five to be sure whatever had blasted the door wasn't coming in, she moved to sit beside Tal on his right matching his balance on the edge of the bed. Carefully lifting his arm over her shoulders, she was glad she was only a head shorter than him. She didn't want him to have to stoop for support.
Smiling up with all that she could muster, she nodded and bit her lip, a trait he had discovered she did when thinking or frightened. "I am ready... but you have to promise to let me know if you need to stop. I refuse to be here longer than necessary because you were overly stubborn. No heroics... promise?" Her final words were almost pleading. If he went down, she wasn't sure she could survive another escape scenario on her own. She would never admit it out loud, but she was scared now more than she had been the first time.
Perhaps because this time she knew what the possible outcomes were... and they weren't pleasant.

-The mandalorian's eyes rose promptly to the shot against the door. At that very moment Liz had jumped between him and the doorway. His view of what happened had been hindered from her being his 'personal shield'. For about five seconds -- with no one coming through the doors -- the ghost appeared to be clear. Aside from all the screaming that is... All was normal to the young mandalorian.-
"Easy does it Liz," -He said calmly.- "I don't need any heroics out of you either." -If she went down; then sure enough Tal would be crawling to get somewhere.-
At this point; she is my legs
-Kote didn't know if his legs were going to move if he attempted to walk. He didn't even know if both legs were going to buckle under pressure as soon as he stood up. They would be going off of luck, basically. And yet, here he was about to stand and walk. Leave a place that was being attacked by 'who-knows-what'. Yellow eyes wandered on Liz while she came to his right side and carefully lifted his prosthetic arm over her shoulder. Carefully, he inched closer to the edge of the bed; now his feet more solid and firm on the ground. She wasn't that much shorter then him; which meant they probably both gained some height over the years. After all, Kote was approaching his early 20s. Still young and already having surgery being performed on his back. However, with Liz here; he felt more at ease. If something happened when she wasn't; the NR would be looking for a new High General.-
-Her words were soft and yet firm. He understood the meaning and what she wanted. Tal was only 25% on his road of recovery; plain and simple.... HE COULD NOT FIGHT. Well even if he wanted to; it'd be a little difficult for him. He still had months of recovery and rehabilitation on his body. Rushing into a battle at only 25% could be a cause for trouble.-
"I promise no heroics," -He said calmly; eyes now on here.- "Now let's get out of here." -Taking a deep breath in; he slowly exhaled. Feet upon the ground now; with his hand now slightly touching the bed. Using it as a guidance to stand up. Now slowly... with the guiding help of Liz he rose to his feet. His balance was a little off, but the good part of this was... HE was standing.-

Tal touched her back and she realized she was shielding him as if her mortal body could stop whatever weapons were out there. Feeling suddenly foolish, she helped him rise up and stand.
"Deal, no heroics from either of us." Without thinking, she leaned her head back and lightly and swiftly kissed his neck and whispered, "You aren't getting out of taking me to dinner that easy, you know."
Not wanting the gesture to hinder them, she turned him towards the door slowly and step by step they eased towards the door. Once there, she turned to look at him. This was where she had to know once and for all if he was up to their leaving. "Last chance, Tal... If this is too much, I can..." she paused wondering just what she could do. "I can go get help. My bag is down in the lockers with my comm in it. If I can get there, I can call for help and come back for you."
Part of her wanted him to say yes. She feared for his life. But part of her wanted him to say no, because she was scared to freeze up and get them both killed in her inability to truly do anything.

"You aren't getting out of taking me to dinner that easy, you know."
-The mandalorian raised an eyebrow at this statement, but he wasn't going to try and get out of taking her to dinner. In fact, he knew he still owed her from four weeks ago. This was just a simple, friendly reminder to him. Get his butt in gear and heal up.- "That's still on my list once I am better," -He responded with a smile. First things first; they had to make it out of here alive. Kote didn't want to promise something and then not deliver it if they weren't alive. They needed to make it out of this hospital first.-
-Slowly they inched their way to the door; Tal's legs moved easily. It had been three weeks since he walked; so his legs sort of felt like noodles at this point. True they were weak, and his prosthetic leg felt a little stiff from not being used. But that seemed to happen when one was bed ridden for more then three weeks. Almost instantly; Tal had that mindset of getting a powerchair. Being stubborn, he refused wanting to sit and having an object move him around. He had legs and really wanted to use them.... even if he was gaining help from Liz. Stepping near the door; Kote's yellow eyes lowered over to Liz.-
Stay here...? -He thought for a moment.- Not a chance!
-In the past; the blond mandalorian had been on a mission with Liz. At that time he nearly lost her during Druckenwell. He was at wits end of what to do? How could he possibly complete his mission when a government official had gone missing? No! And even that other mission with Adam. He felt obligated to stand guard and didn't. He felt at fault during those missions, because he couldn't protect her. Now even if he wasn't fighting at a 100%; the blond would still find a way to protect her no matter what the case maybe.-
"No," -His voice was calm, and yet somehow firm.- "We are leaving together." -Somehow those other missions were still fresh in his mind, but Kote didn't want to bring them up. If something were to happen while she was out fetching her comm; he wouldn't know what to do. At least if they're together; Tal could do his best to protect her.... even if he wasn't fighting at a 100%.-
