-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jan 2, 2008 YM ((Aramis, Vlad, Llewel n Demi))
The battle fought daily by light and darkness had once again been waged and won by the unquenchable thirst of the shadows. The pinhole scars upon her gossamer gown showed with the last feeble effort, the light working its magic in what we call stars. Gripping the collar of the now face down corpse's armor, he hefted him up along the river of Avalon. The grass was almost crystalline in the chill, his breath catching in plumes around his head as he listened. His boot was raised the blood spilt upon the grass as the sharp spur was brought up and across the corpse's throat. Dropping this useless vessel the deep rumbling tremor of a growl escaped him, his obsidian eyes looking down to the veins of darkness threatening to break free beneath his pale flesh. Spitting his own life blood upon the grass he smirked as it steamed, the very taint of his blood causing a darkening patch of grass to die as if suffocated from the light which sustains it. "Come kitty, kitty. We have yet more games to play!" he spoke. His voice deep and carrying in the silence of the surrounding woods, " I will hunt you, I will find you, and I will have your blood", Stepping into the enveloping shadows of the woods he once more sought after those that fled here, HERE of all places, from Chaos, from the last attempt at contact with the one known as Dragon. Here it was fitting that he would send them to the shores of hell from wense they came, that ancient and tainted land of stupid arrogance and ignorant nobility known as Camelot and Avalon.
She had dreamt of him often enough, but lately it was more than that. Visions had sprung to Llewel's mind during her waking hours as well. Visions of death, corpses and a laughter that keened on a level to make one's skin crawl and desire to flee from the body that it lay upon. She shuddered in her cloak despite the fact the air was not so cold as to need extra wools beneath her covering. She rode hard, letting her hand blindly guide the horse to whatever place it was that called to her. "Oh, Vlad... what has become of you?" She assumed it was he, who had last been so connected to her she could tell when he was hurt at the same moment he had been. Myst had not liked it, not one bit, but when Vlad held Excalibur, even his Angel wife could not block the connection they had between them. Since he hadn't wielded the sword often, she didn’t always know his whereabouts, but one thing was clear, though he didn't have Excalibur now, something in him, perhaps his Chaos side, called to her without his knowledge. She knew it had to be without his knowledge for she knew, at least in his sane moments, he would not force her to succumb to such images as now haunted her waking and sleeping times. She sped onwards sending that mental whisper to him in hopes he would hear her and respond. Perhaps it was not too late... *Vlad... it's Llewel... where are you? Come to me please..* She rode her panting horse harder knowing that he was close, she would find him this night. Something deep inside also told her she may regret it... as may he...
Her mount's panting mixed with the leaves shuffling caused his steps to cease. Listening he now heard the distinct fleeing of his quarry, but also the entrance of perhaps an outflanking maneuver, or possibly a new prey. He thought on this for a time. He heard the horse, knew that mounted meant importance, especially one riding so fast. They'd have to know where they were headed at such a dead pace, his other prey on the other hand were on foot, and moronic in the ways of fleeing. ' Get the new one, then finish what we started' he reasoned in his head. There was a calling there, a yearning but it was a yearning in vain, it was a call to someone being prepared for his rest, but that tug had made his decision.
Moving swiftly through the woods, his wings spread out, taking him up into the canopy in little more then two strong swoops, grasping a branch he perched himself. Sniffing the air he smelt the hint of a perfume, looking over the terrain he also noted the singular trail of the mount, though it would be strange for a diplomat or even a knight of such an arrogant kingdom to ride solitary, unless they thought it was all they needed. He'd make them regret that.
She rode harder, the horse protesting after three days at such a pace with little rest. She felt him near, her skin prickling to verify it. She called this time with voice and mind. "Vlad... Dragon Lord... Chaos Lord... Where are you?" She hoped those names would ring a bell thru whatever chaos his mind was in or whatever turmoil his emotions were in. She had been seeking him since the day Camelot fell under it's third and final King. Kaly's death ahd been the fall of the realm despite Uther taking up the mantle for a short time. It was gone now, all of it. And something, perhaps the Chaos within her, made Llewel seek out the ONE person she knew she could even consider 'kin' any longer. "VLAD!!!" She called once more. She cared not if brigands, bandits, or even the land's own knights rode the same path as her. She cared only now for him. She had to find him no matter the cost. Her horse stumbled and would have fallen had she not tugged back hard enough on the reins to keep his feet under him. She kicked him and off they continued. Her mind and voice still calling him and startling creatures in the brush as she sped by.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Again he lunged, this time from tree top to tree top, this new one was interesting indeed. Her horse smelled of the blood-sweat lather they get after hard riding, while she smelt different and yet familiar to a degree. She called the Dragon, she uttered his name in no chaotic accent. Smirking he allowed himself a luxury, gliding down with little twists and flips to avoid limbs and husks of trees. His slice through the air wouldn't have woke a raven as he stayed sword distances from the mount and rider and yelled, "GO HOME CAMELOTHIAN, enough of your blood will be spilt for your trespasses and transgressions." His anger, his rage and his fight for sanity were all evident in the tone he used in his scream, sounding both like a beast right out of the pits of hell and a child scared and alone in the big bad world.
She reeled back on the horse so hard, it did fall this time. Crying out in a neigh that would rankle most birds' feathers, she easily leapt from it as it wheeled and fell on its side, panting heavily. She would not rouse it. There was no need... he was here. She raised her arms, the sword obvious on her back from the height he must be at. She folded the cloak sides back to expose her arms to show no obvious hidden weapons. Calling back with mind and voice, she raised her vocals to his level, though without his madness behind the words. "I AM NOT CAMELOTHIAN! I HAVE LEFT!" She could not claim to have been cast out for she had merely walked out and never bothered to return. "THE TRANSGRESSIONS THEY GAVE ARE NOT MY OWN! I AM OF THE DRAGON AND OF CHAOS!" She turned in a full circle as she spoke. Not just to give him a chance to see her, but to try and spy him as well.
He swooped into a nearby tree, the sound wasn't exactly stealthy, in fact it sounded a lot like what it was, someone who had glided in and was now trying for a foot and handhold upon a large branch. The bark cascaded down as his almost talon like hands gripped deep into the grains of the tree. Keeping his hands still he watched her, he knew she could see him and he didn't give a shit. Snarling his yell he replied to her words, "Tell that to the Dragon. Tell that to he who sleeps soon, in hope that peace might come to his lands once more." Shaking his head he dropped from the branch and landed hard, his knees buckling as he dropped to a crouch upon the ground, " You say you're of the Dragon, then why are you not there considering the ceremony."
She watched his crash land on the nearby branch, for that was about how graceful it was, and her eyes followed as he landed before her on the ground. She stepped no closer, but to her credit, her back straightened and she did not falter backwards either. "Why am I not where? What ceremony? Vladamere left us long ago and has not been heard of since. I come seeking him because the dreams tell me he is in need." She dropped her hands. No show of arms or no arms would matter now. If this being wanted her dead, she would be. "As to my claim to being dragon, I say I am. Any who doubt it are NOT of the Dragon! For they would know I spoke the truth." She tilted her head slightly then and frowned. "You are not Vladamere, yet there is a presence about you that smells of kin... who are you and where can I find the Chaos Lord?" She put enough emphasis on her words to let him know this was no social call but one of true importance to her.
Orbb smirked slightly as he rose up, his eyes still awash in total darkness, the rings within them were deep red. His hair was covered in his cloak, his face as well, he was almost in a ninja like attire. His sword which rested within it's sheath drew of it's own volition, the deep dark spectrum absorbed the light. It seemed to take in who she was, though he didn't reach for it, simply watching her for a time as it hovered. " In the crypt of the emperor, the first and only ruler of Chaos. He will be ceremonially placed in stasis as per his request." looking to the sword now hovering to his right he closed his eyes, " I am Aramis, and this is the sword of Keth'ryash, I finished it after father returned. It is the chaotic form of your Excalibur." Reaching up slowly he undid his hood and mask, letting their cloth pile about his neck like a scarf. "Knights and soldiers claiming Camelothian origin have been coming to Chaos in search of the Dragon, they have been put down as was also instructed of us."
She watched the sword, sensing in it a Chaos power like one of the blades Vlad had shown her once. She withdrew Fali'Sara. "This is the "Sword of the Protector", Fali'Sara by name. It shows I am kin to those who were rulers of Camelot. But as you see, unlike the Excalibur that abandoned its carriers, mine has not abandoned me. I have in me the blood of Chaos as well and know of the Knights and ceremonies you speak of." She resheathed Fali and nodded respectfully to him. "You are brother to The Dragon. I know your name from his lips." As Aramis spoke of Vlad's desire to be laid in stasis, she sighed. "Is he awake still? Or has be begun the sleep already? I would like to speak with him if I am allowed." She knew it was asking a lot. She was a stranger here, though it occurred to her she shouldn't be. She was a child of Chaos, her father had been a Knight. And she had loved a knight... long ago. She shook her head slightly to clear his vision from her head and looked back to Aramis unaware she had faded away for a moment. "Please. I ask you to take me to him."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thought for a moment and sighed, reaching out he took Keth'ryash from hovering and slashed at the air before them. The rip was both audible and visible as the very fabric of this plane was severed producing a portal. Stepping into it without thought he led the way, the corridor of shadows was treacherous and recently tainted with blood. He did not speak with his lips, but with his mind as he walked, sheathing his sword as he went, "I will take you to him, though it is not my say on whether you live or die. Understood? for I have yet to become the ruler."
As he stepped thru the rip, she glanced at the horse, relaxed now and panting less as it lay on its side. There was nothing in her pack she needed so she turned and followed him into the portal. Had she not learned shadow stepping from Vlad, after her accidental trip thru it into his office, she would have been disconcerted by the jolt of passing between the realms. As Aramis spoke to her mind, she responded. *I understand. I have always lived by his whim. It changes not just because I am not bound to him by steel any longer.* She hoped the answer was enough. She followed him and wondered what would become of her if he WAS ruler. Would he slay her for being an insolent fool? Or merely toss her back to her realm to fend for herself alone? Either way, her fate rested in what happened here.
The flaming portal ahead slid back, chaos was now barred on many of it's paths, and Aramis was it's only hunter outside it's plane. Standing aside he waited, the Chaos Knights all knelt before him, only one moved up to set upon his shoulders a cloak of fine silk. It's jaw removed, his spirit withered, but the ferocity of it's eyes ever burning. The place remained the same, this once pleasant and almost welcoming room known for it's large mirror that would look upon other planes, the large lion who would riddle and joke with the children, all removed, this place was now pain, corporeal pain. Aramis it appeared from the CK's appearance now ruled them, though it was with an iron fist. The painting of Vlad and Myst above the large doors which led toward the crypts was defaced, burnt beyond recognition wherever the artist had brushed light beams of Myst in general. Ancient glyphs now sizzled upon the floor in etchings of Balefire. Chaos had become hell, and soon Aramis would be the first and last angelic ruler of the abyssal plane.
She saw the Knights and stiffened a moment, glad to stop as Aramis was cloaked in the mantle of his rein. She saw not the one who knew her as she knew him. It was a blessing and a curse. Where was he? Was he still here? Or was he gone? She glanced back to Aramis and then around the room. She had been here once before, long ago now it seemed. The missing lion and the defacement of Myst on the portraits sent a shiver down her spine. This place felt, smelled and cried in pain. Something had gone terribly wrong. Was she too late? Did Vlad realize what had befallen his beloved realm? Chaos it was, and Chaos it always would remain... but this was... wrong somehow. She remained silent and followed Aramis like a faithful servant, fearing to say anything now that there was no ally to come to her aide... even if she cried out in pain.
Turning he looked to her, " There is a change of clothes, something more fitting for the ceremony" Walking away from her the cloak seemed to shimmer and writh as he made his way toward a suddenly forming from shadow. The knights stood, their eyes following Llewel’lynn then to Aramis as if they were weren't sure what to do. A snarl came from the crypt area, a large shadow moved, the screams of servants were cut off as death came to them at last, one seeming to suffer, screaming crawling at the walls as a blade slid through one of the boards.
She nodded and turned as he walked into the shadow, but the screams made her shiver despite her resolve to see this thru. The looks on the Knights' faces made her look away from them. She had ever seen such defeat, fear and emptiness in their forms. None were fully corporeal, something they always did when others were present. It was as if they no longer cared. Or perhaps they yearned for the final death more. She didn't dwell on it as she stepped into the aforementioned room and looked around. It was as it a war had been waged in there. The wooden furniture was burnt so badly, some pieces were not even recognizable. The bed was no more than pieces of a frame, shattered more completely than any other piece in the room. In the corner, charred but standing, was a wardrobe with a missing door. She stepped to it and opened it. Myst... the gossamers, silks, satins and wools had all belonged to her once. The shudder that ran thru her now was not hidden. She would sooner die than meet Vlad in the vestiges of someone he no longer wished to be reminded of. She looked around and found a small looking glass on the floor in the corner. It was cracked on one edge, but in tact. It was enough. She rubbed her hand over the surface and imagined her old wardrobe in the castle. There was a garment there... as she opened her eyes, part of the garment was on her side of the mirror. She pulled hard enough to draw it the rest of the way onto this plane then shattered the mirror. In case anyone had been scrying, the way here was now gone. Because it had been Myst’s, and been to both sides, it had been possible. No large standing mirrors would have worked because they were all of this realm alone. You cannot bridge to where you have not been.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She took off her tunic and replaced it with the black gown chased with silver runes and piping. There was a leather sheath bound into the corset top in the back to hold her sword and she left her boots on, having not thought to bring shoes as well. Binding up her hair she grabbed up her cloak then realized the jewelry now on her left arm. Three bands of deep dark metal encircled her wrist, twined in and around themselves to make a single piece. In the center of the twists, a deep blood gem winked at her. She smiled. The gauntlet, given to her by Demascus, knew it was home, and had chosen a form to remind her of such. She drew her cloak back on and strode from the room to once more stand amidst the knights. She pressed the cloak back over her shoulders so the bracelet was obvious and waited to see the Knights' reactions to something they would surely all recognize. Even if they didn't know her, they would know the maker of it.
He mounted the spectral steps, he had no fear of the one he brought or the ones who now followed him, his concerns lay with the last vestige of the old ways, the last remaining brotherhood formed by the stronger ones of the Chaotic order. He slipped on gloves, carefully, almost a ceremony in itself, the silver and gold trim intertwining about his wrists and fingers in runic old spells. His face had changed, no longer was he the youthful almost innocent looking man many knew, but he had literally taken on the physical form of cold, calculating, sheer vengeance. His eyes were no longer a haven for sympathy or pity, but a breeding ground for contempt and rage. He buttoned his shirt slowly, overlapping the buttons with the simple cloth flap. The medals upon his chest pinned there by Acrylis, Vladamere, and one he kept though he didn't know why, by Demascus. The shattering of glass from within his high up chamber and the scream of rage as he busted the mirror carried with it a chill, one of the Chaos knights went so far as to kneel down, half expecting what seemed the wrath of god upon him if he so much as looked up. A few of the others however, one in particular paid strong acknowledgement to the bracelet, giving but the most subtle of bows as if it would be a sin to speak of such things.
Doors burst open in the hallway, a man screaming, "No it's a mistake! I swear my loyalty... MERCY!" As he was hauled kicking and screaming by large stone golem like figures of a fierce making, their runes blood red and shining like hells fire as they drug the man and his family further down the corridor, his screams abruptly cut off by the slamming of doors. To any that might have watched the knights, they would have noted the sudden down turned gaze, the averting of anything remotely resembling attention towards the hulking beasts.
She stepped into the room as the mirror shattered and noticed the reactions of the Knights. What had happened here to turn them into so many simpering cowards. Even when Vlad reined it was not uncommon for one of them to step forward when he was enraged and try and talk him back to sanity... she sighed. She had noticed a couple of the Knights recognized the bracelet but no one said anything. She would seek them out later. Perhaps they knew of Demascus' fate. She had to know, but right now, Vlad, and Aramis, were of more importance. There was nothing her beloved Demi could do if he had been reduced to what the rest were. He would only hinder her. She looked up as the man was drug by golems, his family screaming in tow, into a sound proofed room. They were dead, she knew it. There was no mercy left here now. She turned back to Aramis as if not taking notice and gave what curtsy she could in the awkward boots. She kept her head bowed slightly but was not so ignorant to let her eyes fall from him. "I hope this attire is more suitable, M’lord. I do not wish to offend." She waited to see if he would say anything. She needed to get to Vlad, to know how he was, but she feared seeking him with her mind in here. This was Chaos. If Aramis ruled now, the shadows would whisper for him. She would not give insult by seeking covertly what she was being led to, eventually, openly... she hoped.
He turned round, looking to the gown then to her. " Quaint. You know your place. " His eyes looked to the bracelet quickly though, his eyes flaring in almost a fire of red as he snarled, " Take it off, or wear something more befitting you Fucking REBEL!" Shadows writhed upon the walls as they washed with the screams of anguish and blackness enveloped her very core. Ripping her in one fowl instant to the room he had sent her before, the shadows almost growling now in Aramis' tone, " You fuck with me rebel and I will burn you and your plane from wense I brought you. My father may have felt pity for those lands but mine shall be laid to rest with him."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She gasped and bit her lip till it bled rather than allow him to hear her cry out as the shadows tore her back to the other room. She listened to his words and glanced down at the changed gauntlet on her arm. *Rebel?* How could she be a rebel for wearing that which was wrought here in the bowels of this very place? She shook her head and willed her balled fists to relax. She wondered what 'her place' was that he believed she was stepping into. If he hoped she would become some docile simple maiden, he had another thing coming. She placed her right hand on the gauntlet and whispered. "From ashes you came, to ashes you'll go, but for now match my arm, as white as the snow." She felt the bracelets protest a moment then fade into her arm and disappear from sight. She gripped Fali'Sara and drew it forth. Placing the flat of the steel to her skin, she rubbed lightly to keep from cutting herself then resheathed it. The magic of Fali would hide the gauntlet, for now. She would just have to be sure if she enraged enough to call it forth, she was prepared to call it forth in full armour. She hoped it wouldn't come to that. Moving swiftly to the dressing table, she used dragon hand heat to meld three bracelets to resemble the one she had removed. Hopefully he wouldn't look too closely. She set a gem on top and laid it on the dresser as if haphazardly tossed there. Then as she was about to step back into the hallway, she stood a bit taller, and stepped into the corner shadow instead, reappearing where she had been a moment ago, in the middle of his chamber. "It is gone."
He looked her over slowly, his words were soft, the shadows writhing with each word, " You didn't explain to me why you wanted to see the Dragon. Now, as for the bobble. where is it?" His eyes searched hers, his very mind and the atmosphere bombarding her senses with agony of a different nature, no searing pain, no nightmarish visions, but the very nerves that say "RUN" when in trouble would be afire with the sense. This was worse then being in a vampire's home, or a dragon's lair, this was like realizing you had just made camp in the dragon's mouth.
She straightened her fingers a bit more, rather than clenching them and met his eyes though her heart raced and her body shook. It would be stupid to quench all fear. Fear was sometimes your friend when you needed it. She nodded back to the room and managed without wavering, "In the room..." Then to draw his mind back to her before he would seek too deeply for it she continued. "I told you, M’lord. I am of Chaos, and of the Dragon. I have the blood of your enemy in me, but my birth was not my choice. I have, also, the blood of the kin you call kin within my veins. The very fact I can move in the shadows in this realm speaks the truth of that much. For even "I" know that magic or no, Chaos only allows Chaos within her bosom. Were I merely a mage, I would not have been embraced and released from the shadows unscathed. I come to see Lord Vladamere. You claim to not be ruler here yet, so I come to see the ruler of this realm. Of the realm of my father. I come to seek my liege." She knew those final words could trap her, but she had no choice. Aramis, HIMSELF, had claimed to not be ruler here. He had claimed her fate late in Vlad's only decision. This was merely a way of politely reminding him that while she was stubborn, perhaps she was merely speeding her path to death. She only hoped she was wrong.
Walking slowly over to her he looked her over slowly, his eyes tracing over her form as he spoke, there was terrible smashing and growls from the room she'd motioned to, "While I don't rule... You will find I hold your fate just as well as my father..." His hand moved along her should slowly closing as he whispered, " within the palm of my hand. I so much as think you are a threat to Chaos, you will be torn limb from limb. " His hand twisted, his index finger caressing her cheek as he snickered. " Where did you get your... trinket? When?... " His words were cut off, his hand gripping her shoulder as there was a mixture of screams from the outer hall, a baritone scream and the screams of those no longer bound by flesh.
She watched him walk closer and listened with half an ear as they tore apart the room that she had changed in. As he spoke of holding her fate in his hands she smiled. "Would I be so stupid to claim the lineage I do if I meant to cause harm?" She listened as he mentioned the trinket and was about to answer when the scream whipped her head around to glance to where it came from. His grip on her arm stopped her body from turning and a small gasp of pain at his grip left her lips as she pulled suddenly against the iron like fingers.
His movement was quick, his cloak almost ripping at the velocity with which he left the room, his hand leaving her flesh as he did, almost reluctantly though it was gloved. Growling as the shadowed steps slid into place beneath his feet he looked to the mess and the remaining CK’s, The Golems were about to grab another, " ENOUGH" his snarled words caused the golems immediately to freeze, the CK's on the other hand took a bit of opportunity to behead yet another stone monster before ceasing. His very form shimmered and flickered to the ethereal, his voice splitting into the voice so similar to Vlad's when he returned, thousands of whispers in chorus snarling and saying, " You tempt me Leviathan" His hand writhing in both the ethereal flame and some darker flame, as if tainted as he slammed him into a marble pillar. " You know what I am Levi, hence I haven't killed you. Don't push that decision or you know I will do far worse then remove you from your husk!" His eyes were swirling voids within a skull, his teeth almost pointed, in fact his incisors were.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She gasped as he let her go but spun and followed in his footsteps so swiftly that she was hard pressed to sidestep and stop when he did to keep from smashing into his back. As Leviathan was tossed into one of the pillars and the rage and magic she felt from Aramis sent the hairs on her right arm tingling from her nearness to him, she was unable to stop herself as she raised her voice to step in front of him. "ARAMIS! HOLD! What has become of you? Since when have the keepers of the Abyss deserved such punishment? Vlad ruled with fear and greatness, not with pain and intimidation. Take me to him NOW! As blood of Chaos and Kin to those within I DEMAND to see her ruler NOW!" She dragged a nail across her palm and let a drop of her blood spill to the floor. As the final words were spoken she knew he would be bound by them. He could not claim to be Chaos' ruler for her had renounced such claim before. And in speaking out loud that there was another ruler besides he, she hoped it would remind him too that there was always a price to pain... yours or another’s. She couldn't spare a glance to Levi. She wanted to rush to his side but knew she could not claim to be a daughter of Chaos then turn and show such compassion for one who was supposedly punished. She only hoped the spilled blood was enough to whisper thru the shadows to Vlad that she was here. She hoped many things suddenly, most of all, to live a few more moments.
Aramis whipped around, his eyes flaring as he continued to damn near strangle Levi. The other CK's however looked to him then to Llewel’lynn, their flare of life seemed to burn brighter again, though scared of the pain and torment this was different. The blood that pooled in her palm, caused them to step back, Aramis himself was growling and didn't notice until it was too late what was happening.
The bracelet upon her arm would writhe wildly, as if trying to shift without permission from it's master who wore it. The flaring shadows about the room screamed as in a blur of shadow and solidity Vlad not only grabbed Aramis' throat even in it's ethereal form, but had ripped the form from him and cracked much of the masonry about him, smoke rolling off his every pore. Vlad was shirtless, the runes of the abyss burning upon his flesh, he was half shaped, the wings upon his back bat like and bloody, the fangs within his mouth dripping with saliva and stained pink. His eyes were burning with abyssal fire, his fingers taloned and scaled, his arms half exposed with scales. He was twitching, pale, and sweating blood. The index finger of his free hand pointed to the blood though his eyes never left Aramis as his muzzle began to twitch as if trying to lengthen, " That blood is your's, take the gem from your wound and imbue it Llewel. And you Aramis, You do not rule yet, I may be weakening, but she is not yours!" His arm ripped from the wall, throwing Aramis only half way across the wall, the rage building. Aramis however reposted off a pillar with his legs, lunging back and Slamming Vlad into the wall with a growl, "WEAKNESS WILL NOT RULE!" Aramis screamed, though it was in the blink of an eye as Vlad began to retaliate.
Llewel nodded murmuring only, "Yes, M’lord." As she took a finger tip of blood and ran it over the back of her arm. The gauntlet flared to life and her body was soon covered in the black Chaos scales of armour. She went to Levi and called to the other Knights who stood in a bit of a daze at what was occurring. She had been a leader before and those skills never leave you. As she stood between the two lords and Levi's body she cried. "HE IS YOUR KING! PROTECT HIM!" Chaos Knights had always been the protectors here, this was no place for Fali'Sara and she knew it. One of the fallen knights had been wielding a sword and she bent to retrieve it hoping the Chaos armour and blood stained hand would be enough to wield it and make it corporeal enough to harm if called upon. She watched the Knights react and only then shifted slightly to kneel and check on Levi as she whispered to him hoping he would hear. "Where is Demascus? Where is he Leviathan?"
The Golems instantly separated the CK’s from Aramis and Vlad, two going for the bracelet upon Llewel’lynn be she in armor or not. The other 4 went after the CK's each wielding their brand of blades and whatnot. The noise that followed could only be heard if you were to take about 100 dull drills and tried to go through granite. However, the noise didn't stop Vlad and Aramis. They fought on as one slammed the other, the other would slam back. Their forms seemed to shift and shimmer, Vlad himself in a weakened state had only called upon shadow for one thing, it tried to grab Aramis, but shadow was thrown aside as Aramis seemed to rip through them, Chaos herself screamed in anguish as Vlad did so audibly, Aramis had cheated only slightly, using what he had on him in the way of all Chaotic duels and had stabbed Vlad in the gut with a cryss blade. Snarling and almost losing all control over his form Vlad's talons raked through the shirt, armor, and flesh of Aramis' flesh, the black blood of both, evidence of the Abyss. The very room was beginning to tremble, the cracking of pillars and masonry taking toll on the room as the two, for lack of a better term, Juggernauts waged their battle.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Llewel backed up as the two golems descended on her. She wielded the fallen Knight's sword and slashed at the golems using the pillar as a bit of a balance keeping only one able to attack her at a time. She managed to trip one up enough to draw down a broken piece of granite down to smash its head. The second was not so easily dispatched and it was taking everything she had to keep it at bay, unable to make a forward advance. She growled with determination and then took a chance. As she lured the golem further back into the corner, she glanced to see where a clear space was, seeing none, she thought of the one place she had seen clear footing. The throne room Aramis and she had been in a moment before. Counting slowly she timed her attack. "1 and 2... 1 and 2... 1 and 2..."
Suddenly the golem was allowed close enough to grasp the sword in her hand as if to stop her. She stepped back into the shadows and pulled the beast with her. "1.. and" by the time she said 'and' she let go of the sword and the word 'two' was spoken as she stumbled into the shadowy corner of the throne room. Scrambling back as she listened to the chaos in the next room, she waited to see if it had worked or not. If it had, she had trapped the golem in the shadows. If it hadn't, it would barrel out any second... and she had relinquished her sword.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jan 3, 2008
The Golem had succeeded in it's following, after all they were of the creation of Aramis, the downside for the Golem was it's glyphs wouldn't work in the throne room. The throne room was formed in such a way certain magicks weren't able to work, such things Vlad was good at foreseeing the advantage of. Meanwhile from the very same shadow Levi had ripped his way through, his blades coming to the neck of the Golem, ripping the head from it's shoulders as he screamed, " The Cave of no flesh! They hold fealty to the Dragon and long for the old prince, not this monster!" From outside the falling of stone made it clear that the room was collapsing, the screams made if clear the golem's were losing. But one sound above all would cause thunder and lightning to rain down upon Chaos, the blood cry of a fully pissed of dragon mid-shift. The Slams and slashes continued as words were spoken, repeated and chorused in the shadows from both, " Weakness SHALL NOT RULE!", " CHAOS IS MINE" and well your imagination can sum up other such phrases screamed by two close to insane shadow forms of direct Chaotic link.
Llewel smiled up and nodded in thanks to Levi. She grabbed up the sword the golem had claimed and rushed back towards the fighting calling over her shoulder. "If you know how to find Demascus, do it NOW! He is needed. VLAD NEEDS HIM!" She rushed back, headlong, into the fray and dispatched one more golem before heading towards the two fighting. In all her mind, she raked for a way to help Vlad. There had to be a way! Then she remembered as blood from the battling two rained down upon her. She closed her eyes and cried hard and direct to Vlad's mind alone. *He has spilled the blood of the TRUE KING of Chaos... you can call his true name and imprison him in the Abyss! DO IT VLAD!* She let her compassion flow thru as well, for she knew what such a banishment could do to Aramis' already cracked mind. But Vlad had no choice. They would all die if Vlad lost. *You have no choice, My Lord... Please... for the sake of Chaos...* She opened her eyes and hoped her words had gotten thru. There was nothing more she could do. She joined the others to help dispatch the final two golems.
Looking to her Levi followed swiftly saying in quick whispers that still could be heard, " You don't understand, Aramis will destroy all the Chaos Knights if Demascus returns. He swore to go after you as well for Demascus use to speak of you. Aramis burnt the island home you held with Demascus, to prove it." Levi Lunged to stop a thrust at Vlad from another dagger, this time fleshing and taking it in the chest, Aramis simply tossed him aside before throwing himself once more into the fray. Vlad felt and heard her words, his flesh was already scaling, his eyes alight with the very fires of Chaos' heart, though in all this insanity words still broke into her mind, the words, " For all other things, he remains my son and my blood. Should I be destroyed, he is my legacy, and Chaos' new father.. should I destroy him.. I destroy myself" Vlad threw Aramis this time, he knew these words may stun Llewel’lynn only slightly, though in his action he had thrown Aramis right into the Golem now bearing down upon her from behind.
Llewel screamed back at Levi as he rushed with her. "He will destroy us all anyway! FIND HIM NOW!" She saw Levi lunge to block the attack on Vlad and cried out in rage as Aramis lunged once more for Vlad. She was dragging Levi out of the way as Aramis sailed over her head. She heard Vlad's words and sighed. *He will destroy us all, M’lord. You have other sons.* She knew the pain he was feeling. Her empathy a two edged blade this time as it bit into her as surely as steel. *Can you afford for us ALL to die? He will slay the Chaos Knights, kill me and destroy the realm... * Her mind words were cut off as she stumbled on debris and fell with her back to the golem and Aramis unwittingly as she tried to get a response from Levi once more. "Where is Demascus, Leviathan. Tell me...or we all die"
Vlad and Aramis Crashed into the last pillar, the blood was eating away at the stone but the room now was totally crashing down. Levi Threw himself from the wall he laid against, grasping Llewel’lynn as he threw her from the room he screamed, " The Abyss has a cave to the north! Go there!" Aramis heard this as well, turning from the fight he screamed " NO!" though through rock and dust Vlad's talon ripped through the rubble and gripped him, his words echoing as if the Abyss itself spoke, the earth shuddering as more pain was inflicted upon Vlad, " YES" said the voices, dragging Aramis back into the fray of sure destruction.
Llewel rolled with Leviathan as he turned over to drag her from a collapsing piece of the ceiling. She heard his words, took to her feet and scrambled swiftly away as Aramis' scream was echoed by Vlad's. She tried to recall the layout of the castle and suddenly felt a burst in her mind. She cradled her head but kept running as Vlad had shoved the floor plan into her mind. She whispered a silent thanks and ran faster towards the northern cave Aramis spoke of. She only hoped there was something left of Chaos to rescue him for.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The growls and snarls and screams from the rubble made it clear that the battle still raged. The stables were stocked, and the cave was a long distance away.
Llewel made it into the hallway and clear of the fight before stepping into the nearest shadow and thinking of the place Vlad and Levi had left in her mind. She stepped out and gasped nearly stumbling as she looked around trying to get her bearings.
Almost instantly as she come through shadow arms grabbed her, skeletal hands with blades drawn, they were in traditional Chaos Knight Attire and they were aglow with pure defiance. Neither really recognized her, so neither let go. The abyss was just in front of her, as if it had tried to take her, to direct her from her desired destination and into nothingness. " What do you want?" growled one of them, the other spoke, " It's a trick, kill her"
"I am a daughter of Chaos!" She growled struggling against her bonds. "Friend to The Dragon Lord and lover to his son, Demascus." She then realized the hands that held her were Chaos Knight armoured. "See my armour. Could a liar wear such blood imbued scales?" She went still to let them realize they held onto the very armour she spoke of.
One looked and just about choked, the other didn't give a shit, " Yeah well the fucking prince is a son of the Chaos too bitch." Suddenly he was silent, most would believe it was the fact he suddenly realized she was right, I prefer to think it was the scythe blade that slid across his neck as the thick accented whisper of Demascus said, " hello my love, strange form of travel to come here considering the times. I would have written but well, I doubt it would have made it to you." They released her slowly, the scythe slowly moving from the one's throat as Demascus took on flesh form.
She had been about to say her life was forfeit if this was the reception she was going to get when suddenly her heart's own voice spoke to her. Stepping from the now loosed ands, she turned to face him, her captors between them. "Hmm I will forgive you this time. As to these two, if they are loyal to Aramis, perhaps we shall see if they wish to join him. He made a walk thru the Abyss, didn't he? Would they like to do the same? "She smiled as she took a step forward, her finger lightly brushing the metal gauntlet digit over the Knight's cheek. She then shifted only her hand to non corporeal and let it slide under his skin before solidifying outside the cheek once more. "After all, madness begets madness. Don't you agree?" She never let her eyes move from the Knight as she spoke. Given the choice, all those loyal to Aramis would perish by her hand, but it was not her decision. She only hoped fear would win out this time as they wondered if she was capable while they looked into her dragon slitted battle raged eyes.
Demascus smirked slightly and nodded then looking to her as she teased he spoke softly, " Aye though, we hold allegiance to the Dragon, and the son before his Baptism. " The one threatened looked to her, then to Demascus, his fist suddenly pounded against his chest as he shouted, " For the Dragon!" the rally of voices wasn't too impressive, all of perhaps 12 Chaos Knights emerged from various places about them, armed to the teeth and ready for anything. Though as the weather worsened even here, and the tremors once more struck, Demascus' own eyes seemed to mist over, as if he too felt the pain of the land.*
She gripped her chest as she felt the empathy of the land smash into her. She cried out in pain as it brought her to her knees and she looked to Demascus. "He fights with Aramis. But he cannot win. His heart will not allow him to slay his son, or send him to the Abyss again. AAAHHHHHHH!" She doubled over and closed her eyes continuing. "Help him! Help your King!" She whispered to Demi's mind alone. *There has to be a way... some forgotten rule, forgotten chant, forgotten SOMETHING uuhhhhh... a way to hold Aramis till Vlad can fix himmmmmmm" She shuddered once more as the very land groaned around them.
Nodding slowly, he crouched down, his scythe being laid beside her as he whispered in the softest of tones, " Know that I do this for everything I hold dear, everything I love. Know that I do this.... for all those times I missed." Closing his eyes he folded his arms over his chest and spoke a single word, the word itself from his lips was but a whisper, but the word carried through shadow, through Chaos, it was one of the words no one have spoken for eons. The other knights all bowed as he stood at the beach of the Abyss, turning he looked right to her eyes as he gave her one last smile, falling back into the Abyss he let out no scream, no flailing arms. Instead he embraced that which was his future, and in it he lived.
She lunged for him as he went backwards. "NOOOOOOOO!" He couldn't... he couldn't leave her... not now. Her cloak caught on a rock landing her on her chest with one arm reaching over the Abyss. She tried to reach back with her free hand as she screamed "DEEMASSCUSSSS NOOOOO!" wanting nothing more than to follow him as tears flowed down her face.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The geyser that shot from the Abyss, from it shot a form which roared, it's ethereal smoke trail was the definite sign of a different sort of Chaos Knight. The knights themselves dove upon Llewel’lynn, pinning her arms as one spoke, " It's the only way to stop the fight. Get to the palace, or it's all in vain!"
The battle raged within the rubble of the old training room, strange how it would be this place where the final lesson would be taught. Vlad was almost at deaths door with weakness, Aramis was about to plunge his sword deep into Vlad's chest when all hell broke lose within shadow. Skeletal hands though ethereal in essence gripped Aramis, the strength in it threw him from the rubble carrying him like a wraith into the skies and crashing down into the ash with him in tow.
Llewel screamed trying to fight off the hands that pinned her. Suddenly the geyser sent them all flying back from the edge as Demascus came forth roaring. She looked up and new tears fell from her eyes. He was not dead, but the crucible he had endured had perhaps taken him from her none the less. She rose as the other Knights pulled her to her feet and together they plunged thru the shadows to erupt en mass into the throne room. She took up a sword from the floor and ran into the chaotic hell that had become of the training hall. Shouting orders to those who had followed her, "See to the other Knights! They are your brothers!" She ignored those she passed as she raced straight for Vladamere. She came up to him without any head for caution as she spoke to his mind and ears. "It's Llewel'lynn, Sire... let me help you." She hoped he would not reel on her as she dropped her sword and whispered a soft plea for the gauntlet to bare her hands.
Vlad coughed loudly, his eyes glazing slightly as he spoke softly, " Sar.. Sarcophagus... pl.... Ll....." he was weak, his fever almost flesh burning as his blood poured from wounds like in no other battle he had. He breathed raspy, his eyes almost unfocused as he spoke, " Aram... is? is ....he....." his grip tightened almost bone crushingly as the knights clustered at the remnants of the doorway, the screams of new golems from the doorway said this battle wasn't over, but it definitely had turned, however those screams were soon covered over by a fresh set of lungs letting loose in sheer pain and terror, Aramis, out there in the dunes could be traced by the plumes of dust that marked his impact and the accent upwards into the air would bring fresh screams.
She cried but nodded as she replaced the gauntlets so she could touch him. "He lives. Demascus..." She couldn't continue but touched him and managed to lead him to a nearby shadow and whisper. "Sarcophagus" And let the Shadows bring the Lord where he needed to be. The deafening silence where they came out almost made her want to scream to see if she had gone deaf. Then the rumble of the battle thundered once more and the very foundation shook again. She led Vlad to the resting place and helped him into it. "Tell me what to do... How can I save us all?" She didn't say 'save him' because she was part of Chaos. It was herself she was saving as well.
He reached out, as if suddenly in spasm, his hand going right into the armor as if it were but a liquid, not damaging, only touching upon her clothen gown as he pulled her to his eyes, and in that mere second he transferred many things. Images of the storms that were coming, the baptism of Aramis with words of binding uttered by Vlad within the throne room he was thought to be resting in. Within the images, as if dubbed over, the heartbeat of Chaos could be heard rapid and quick. ARAMIS MUST LIVE, was implanted almost with a sledge hammer into these images. His last gasping breath of consciousness he forced the image of Aramis as he was now, and in those last words he whispered, " Teach him... what he....once was" and with those words the first Emperor of Chaos, The god of the Chaos Knights, the very heart of Chaos and her right hand, fell to a slumber within the coffin. The lid closing up to expose the fact that 3 Chaos knights had sacrificed themselves to create this resting place, and they would keep him safe in his slumber of centuries.
She gripped his arms, crying out in pain and shock as he bombarded her with the images and knowledge of what he had to pass on. If Aramis died, Vladamere died. They were connected in ways Aramis had tricked Vlad. She knew, now, that Aramis had to live. But he didn't have to rein. She wept then and slid the lid shut as she stepped back. "We will save him. We will save you both" She whispered as she stepped back into the shadows to return to the fray with tear stained cheeks.
She looked to where Demascus was and sent to his mind. *You cannot kill him... Vlad says we are all lost if you do. We must bind him. Find a way to bring him back to us... Don't kill him, Demi, please, love... don't kill him... for all our sakes.* She wasn't sure he would understand but she sent him a pressing urgency to believe her. She then drew up a nearby sword, absently reminding herself to get a Chaos sword if this was to become habit, and helped the Knights dispatch the last of the golem.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The echoing wild ethereal voice came back, audible to all, " I need to his mind." The wraith of Demascus rose up with Aramis in his hands again, then slammed him into the dusts near the rubble. Aramis screaming, " NEVER!" The Chaos knights that were free looked to the wraith, almost screaming as they started saying, " Oh fuck it's true..... He was an original!" The wraith continued to pummel Aramis, the fighting style was identical to Demascus' all the way down to his almost skull shattering bombardment with his fists.
She nearly screamed to him*NOOOO bind him, knock him out, but you are not ready to join his mind yet... please Demi... I can't lose you too...* She let him hear the 'too' in her voice. She knew it would tell him Vlad had gone to rest finally. *Please, let me help... please...* She tried to reach him but the press of CK’s watching was like pushing thru a mob.
One of the CK’s touched her shoulder and whispered, " He may be lost.. we don't know how deep the Abyss effects the ancients..... I'm sorry" Aramis, spitting a bit of blood from his lip laughed hard. His eyes maddening as he growled, " I'm gonna fuck you up ghost boy" Demascus, his eyes showing a glimmer of recognition as he looked to Llewel’lynn, " I can't bind him damnit! I gotta get in there to smack this darkness around!" Demascus picked him up pulling him through the air, slamming him into a wall as he vanished into the wall, coming right back out as Aramis shifted, the scream of the wraith said even it felt pain.
She growled at the Knight and shoved his arm off hard. "I will NOT lose them both! NOT NOW! NOT EVER!" She looked around and then glanced down at her gauntlet. 'Of course' her mind screamed. "DEMASCUS!!! CATCH!!" She drew the armour back into the jewel and used every bit of strength she had to run towards Demascus. He had to have the jewel. He told her once that it held "the blood of Chaos". Perhaps it would be enough to get him where he needed to be. She rushed in and dodged Aramis' blow towards her head and she tried to get the gem to Demascus.
Demascus scooped up the bracelet, it's power surging as the gem seemed to go super nova a moment, the armor covering over in an ethereal form, his fist landing on the tainted fiery form of Aramis, the slam shook the very ground. "Fuck this you brat!" Aramis skidded across the sands, his eyes rolling in his head a bit before he collapsed completely. The wraith lunged at the chance, the bracelet dropping to the sand as he looked almost inhaled by Aramis' now unconscious form.
She rushed forward to retrieve the bracelet before Aramis could reach for it. It was then that the silence made her pause. All the Knights stepped closer to her back as she watched Aramis pass out and Demascus seem to merge with him. The two forms now lieing near over one another as she felt their minds become one. She put a hand on Demascus, not willing to touch Aramis as she whispered. "Let me help..." She searched for a sign that Demi was there as the gem slid back up her arm on it's own and reformed as a gauntlet surrounding her left wrist. Her body slightly glowing silver as she searched for a sign she hadn't lost Demi completely yet.
The moment she touched his mind she heard a comment Demascus would have the balls to say in combat, " You're like fighting Tar you fucking BITCH, I will fucking coat a roof with your ass" The battle was intense, the energy was slamming into the abyss hard enough to cause it to boil, the smokes and acrid sickening stench.
She let Demi have the memories Vlad gave her and she fell back when done as if pulling herself from the very tar Demi spoke of. She sat where she landed, on her backside, and looked up at the Knights around her. Slowly standing, with the help of one she didn't recognize, she looked around. "Your King has gone to sleep and your new liege fights within his own mind for sanity. The King's son, Demascus, has sacrificed himself to save us all. Now I ask you, till one emerges triumphant, what do we do? I would ask that you see to the wounded, see to the dead, and then we begin to rebuild." She looked to them each as she spoke. "I am not King, nor am I Queen. I am merely a daughter of Chaos who knows what it is like to be without one or the other. Will you let me lead you to rebuild?"
She knew it was a lot to ask. They didn't know her well, and those who did were vastly outnumbered by those who didn't. She only hoped they wouldn't turn on her. She was in no shape to fight them all.
The sound of a couple blades being drawn, the twang of scythes from behind her confirmed what she should have figured. Those that did know her, including what remained broken of Leviathan stood there, eyes ablaze as if tempting the newer ones. In union they nodded, their eyes looking to her as one spoke, " Our Emperor showed trust in you, Demascus showed his trust for you. We will do the same." Moving off without instruction the rubble began to shift, the magic sect of the Chaos Knights were already at work, the knights themselves were inside, many slaughtering servants that weren't completely loyal to the Dragon. Leviathan and one other, his name Radyu looked to her eyes, " We will remain your guard madam. Where will you go when things are straightened?" A James Earl Jones like voice erupted from behind her, the lion of Chaos spoke, his ruby eyes looking to the bracelet then to her, " Well now, little one has returned?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nodding, she smiled to Levi and his companion. Her hand patted his arm slightly as she leaned on one of the newly reformed columns. As he asked where she would go, she shook her head. She hadn't thought beyond a stiff drink and hot bath. But before she could answer, a voice called from behind her. She stiffened. She knew somewhere in the back of her mind that the voice should be recognized, but her thoughts were still in pain and jumbled from what had occurred. She didn't turn but silently called the gauntlet back to full armour under her cloak. "Little one... something tells me you wouldn't call me that..." She turned and her eyes glanced at who had spoken.
The uproarious laugh was hearty and unmistakable, a mentor's laugh, even a father's laugh if he had been one. " Still have that temper young little Llewel’lynn, Surely you couldn't want to wrestle in your current condition. " The Knights smiled slightly and patted her back, " we aren't protecting you from him, he's rough but harmless" Chuckling the large lion sat and held up his paw, the sharp shink of steel claws and the raise of his lips made him look vicious a moment, almost smirking as he purred, " I wouldn't say... 'harmless'.”
She frowned. The lion seemed familiar but she couldn't remember why. "I would wrestle if I had too." She lied. No one ever admits weakness, even when it's plainly written on every move you make. She nodded to Levi and the other guard. "If I am safe here, see to two more sleeping chambers for Aramis and Demascus. See to it they are close, touching even, but separated none the less. Please, Leviathan. If I am safe now, then that is enough." She turned back to the lion and crossed her arms as the gauntlet receded till just her arms were covered. No sense being ridiculous about her safety. "So tell me, why should I remember you?" She watched and waited to see what would come of this. He gave her comfort in a strange way... and in another, that very comfortable feeling left her uneasy.
The two looked down, not wishing to disturb them with something like the fact they couldn't move a wraith. The lion made swirling patterns with his tail as he itched at his black marble side, "I'm Azmodius, surprising how I am forgotten. The children of Chaos all came to me, learned of the history of Chaos. Of the Dragon. Rode me many of them, came to me to calm them in times of war. Funny how the one who slept the most within my front paws would forget her ‘Lian’ as you pronounced it back then." Chuckling once more he stood, his height was up to about her chest at his full upright stance. Looking about him, his eyes finally fell to the form of Aramis and the wraith form of Demascus. Furrowing his brows he spoke, " Interesting..." Looking to her face he purred the question, "Will you be staying around?"
She listened and the memories flooded back. She wished nothing more than to once more curl up in his great paws as she had as a child and know that all would be well. But she knew it was not meant to be. She nodded and followed his gaze to the two sleeping forms. "As long as they need me." She didn't say whether the 'they' was Demascus and Aramis or the Knights. It didn't matter... she would stay. Looking to Levi as he was silent and unmoving, she felt his anxiety. "See to the chambers, I will see to how to get them there. But be sure it is secure and away from the King." She nodded once more and turned back to Azmodius. "I remember you, now. And it has been so long since 'comfort' has been a part of me, that perhaps I have forgotten it as well. But I do remember you. You were there even when Father was not, and mother didn't wish to be." She sighed. "Or couldn't."
Her mother, being a Pendragon, could not easily come to Chaos, and her father, for a while, would not let her be away for long. She studied with her father till she came of age, then went to her mother. This place was long past in buried memories to her. She sighed once more. "Tell me, my Lian," she smiled for the first time in many weeks, "you who know the history and knowledge most have forgotten. Can I shadow move the two Lords without waking them or harming them? Demascus rides the turmoil of Aramis' mind. It will take some time, but I fear just leaving them here in the training grounds." She closed her eyes and bowed her head a moment before looking up and finishing, though it came out barely a whisper, "Please, guide me once more... for all our sakes."
Sat down and pondered, the lions tail swishing as he thought on the question. " The Abyss will be fighting for the future Emperor, it will twist all paths to it's own ocean." Standing up he looked about, his eyes finally falling to the bracelet, " I will tell you something that may upset your.. delicate nature. A wraith, which is what our mutual friend is now, may be trapped within your bracelet's gem, especially considering it is his blood that made your gem. Call upon to to take up the...... corpse..... and lift the future Emperor with your arms. The contact will remain, and you will be able to move both with the strength of your bracelet. Is this reasonable to you?" Standing he scratched at the ash with his claws, his ears twitching as he gave a slight growl, "It's sickening what those of our blood do for power. I'm sorry things happened as they did." He lowered his head, his mane drooping slightly over his eyes.
She found herself stepping closer and caressing the large mane as she had done long ago. "If it will help us, there is nothing to 'delicate' in my nature, Lord Az. I have been thru and done enough to make even YOU question if raising me here had been such a good idea." She smiled then and nodded to the others. "Let us see if they have the chambers ready first, shall we?" She let go of him before the desire to bury herself in the fur and get lost in his comfort overwhelmed her. It hadn't occurred to her that the blood in the gem would twist with Demi's use of it. Somehow that seemed important to remember.
