: OOC: Ummm… did I miss something? I thought Baumann was on the bridge?.... Meli
OOC: shrugs No clue…i just asked Ovi to join me at the Docking Bay.
Melissa waited for the rest of her team to arrive before she did anything. She and Ovi would be the first through the docking hatch.
MCO
Melissa stood waiting, it didn’t take them that long to get here =^=Ovi where are you and your team?=^= She asked as she prepared to enter the bay herself.
MCO
True to his word Ovi arived a few moments later leading the MACOs that had been assigned to him. He was still securing gear as he arrived. Instead of the Starfleet issued rifle, he had his personal rifle slung and a hand phase pistol in his left hand as he secured his helmet in place, then he holstered the pistol. “Sorry I am late, Mess Mate Lalonde wanted to redecorate the armory with himself and a grenade, nutter butter style”
Lieutenant Oviwhaan Que’innovi (MACO Imperial Guard Exchange Officer
Melissa nodded “Let’s get going.” She said “We’ve got the ship in there. We need to secure it and determine if it is a threat. You’re team take the aft side will take the starboard side. Let’s get this secured.”
MCO
Melissa looked at Ovi “Ready?” She asked as she prepared to open the door to the shuttle bay.
MCO
Melissa moved forward and motioned for part of the team to take the opposite side while some of the team went up high to have a strong vantage point and take up sniper positions should this turn bad. She moved closer to the ship and began looking for a way to open it.
MCO
A NE spoke up, “I heard it was a kind of combination with the movable plates.” His finger made circles at the top region of the sphere. “There, somewhere.” The satellite sized ‘ship’ was snug in the bay but it did fit. It would need to be locked into place, however, as it was more shaped like a childs’ ‘toy top’.

OOC: Okay, in Melissa’s absence I am going to move on here.
The docking bay door to the corridor whooshed open as the XO and Vulcan Doctor entered the Docking Bay. She immediately noted the Colonel on top of the alien shape and was glad she was just in time.
“Colonel! Can you hold off on that and come down, please?” T’Leia called up. Stovik stood just behind her with his hands tucked up in his sleeves. Seeing the ship so close he wondered with the Arryha would be easier and he sent out a questing tendril of telepathic thought.
Commander T’Leia
Melissa nodded and returned to the First Officer “Ma’am, we’ve heard movement and I would prefer that we secure this area first .” She suggested but awaited further orders.
MCO
T’Leia raised an eyebrow,” Movement in the ship?” She waved that off for a moment and continued.” We are unsure that this is a good idea. ‘Bane’ is claiming these Arryha were locked in this vessel for the ‘universe’s‘ good. That they are actually a great threat and if we release them they will cause havoc across the region. The ‘Arryha’ are claiming that they are innocent according to Healer Stovik. So we seem to have a situation of ‘he’ said, ‘she’ said, as you humans would put it. It is not a situation that the Captain and I are even sure we should even intervene in.”
Commander T’Leia
Ari came in a moment behind Stovik and T’Leia. She listened as T’Leia called the woman down and explained their moral dilemma. She was curious what the investigation had uncovered.

To T’Leia the neutronium gems were like eyes looking back at her. So close she could ‘feel’ mental energy and in an instant knew that that energy could crush the Bonnie if it ‘set its mind to it’. She also felt that technically they were not needed. Now, they could use their mental powers to take flight wherever it wanted to. While these were not ‘words’ that were spoken to her from the Arryha it was something that she felt were communicated to her.
Still, they remained. Still, they did nothing malevolent. “The truth is out there.” Was the only words that she heard. “Seek it.”
Wookiee
T’Leia shook her head in confusion for a moment before turning to look back at Stovik who had quietly accompanied her and the Captain.” Healer? Did you sense that?” She asked, wondering if he would have a clearer sense of the message being given as his psi quotient was higher then hers. Stovik frowned as he stepped up beside her and studied the gems embedded on the ship, he too could feel the mental emanations radiating outward from them. It seemed to be coming through the gems themselves, from the beings within.
“The truth is out there, seek it.” The Healer murmured, voicing what T’Leia heard as well. “I don’t believe it matters what we do, these beings are of such a mental strength, Captain that they could do whatever they wish. But they do seem to wish us to find....something.”
“Find something?” T’Leia said frowning in thought. “Find what? The truth? How are we to do that? Are you saying that it does not need us to open this…ship?”
“I do not believe so, they appear to be …free now if they wish it.” Stovik responded. His eyes still on the ship as his mind quested outward.
“Perhaps we need to scan the surrounding area?” T’Leia postulated. “Colonel? Have you had any success in scanning the ship now that it is here?” She asked as she turned back to look up at the Colonel.
Commander T’Leia
Whether it was insane curiosity or merely a wish to actually be close to the alien technology, Ari found herself moving closer to the alien craft. “Perhaps they only ‘really’ needed us to draw then out of the event horizon they were slipping into.” She answered to Stovik’s comment of them not necessarily needing them now.
She stepped to within a few feet of the object and reached out. For whatever reason, her mind stopped her before flesh touched metal. But her hand hovered just above the surface, clearing it by only an inch or so. She was curious if it would give off heat, perhaps from its power source, or be as chilled as the cold of space.

Hand scanners were not so successful, alas, however they were able to map out the surface of the satellite sized craft very well. Close up it was even more ‘detailed’ and ornate than one might ever suspect from looking at it off the scanners from the ship. It was like something out of an old Jules Verne imagery with decorative ridges that made the skin of the satellite look like layers and layers of fine neutronium foil, ribbed and angled in waves. The color of it was a brownish gold that glinted in the lights. Even the ‘crystals’ were more highly faceted and detailed. One might have expected to see brass knobs and rails on it, though on the underside as it tapered down and at its top there were raised spines that again were decorative to a degree that boggled the mind.
“Looks like a big Alladin’s Lamp,” one observer said behind them.
The scanners could, however, define what looked to be the ‘plates’ that would be depressed to form the combination lock to the entire thing. It also could say that there was no internal or external power source that they could detect. It was inert in that there was no radiated heat or other thermal or other energy sources.
- Wookiee
T’Leia frowned, not happy with the information from the scans which did not answer any of their questions. In uncharacteristic irritation she said,” What? We should rub the lamp and see what genie comes out?” Stovik’s eyebrow rose in surprise at her uncharacteristic response. “I still think that is the more dangerous action. We do not know what we will unleash.”
Commander T’Leia
It took all her restraint to not do ‘just’ that. But Ari was strong enough to pull her arms back and clasp her hands before her. “I agree with Stovik. I think the best course of action, at this point, is to release the ship back to the center of the novas where gravity it most stable, set a beacon and get a message back to Earth right away. We need more scientific and diplomatic means out here than we are able to do at the moment.” She glanced at the others knowing that the ‘leave the ball and go home’ idea wasn’t going to go over well.
But short of opening the pod before them, which Stovik and her own XO both agreed was a bad idea, there wasn’t much other choice they had. An envoy to discuss things with Bane and his race, as well as more telepathic talents to investigate the mystery ship, was probably a better bet.
