(( The following would appear if Mardusk asked for an extrapolation of the events leading up to Lera's rescue as compiled from personal logs, mission reports and other information relating to the incident))

The holodeck resembled a large cavern of some kind. The walls were stone, but chiseled and not simply left natural. Niches for candles and power lights were stepped all over. And a large chandelier of some strange animal's bones hung from the vaulted ceiling more than 20 feet up. The candles on it had been burned and replaced so much, that the eerie light made it look like it was covered in a strange colored moss. There was a large trestle table with ten chairs arranged around it. One on each end and eight down the back side. The front of the table was bare of place settings though a length of benches were there, covered in blood.
In the middle of the room were three tall pillars. There were metallic rings on the front back and sides of each pillar. And the floor, like the benches was covered in blood... and other things. The opposite side of the room held cages. Four of them. Four prisoners in each one. The first two cages each held two men, and two women. The last two cages only had a single woman with three men in it. The men were tending to the women's wounds the best they could with tattered shreds of their own uniforms and spit in place of water.
The second cage held Auleraine. She was sitting in the corner of her cage while one of the men wrapped her wrist. She was staring blankly at the wall, away from the large Orion men at the table drinking and singing. If he listened it was the song she had been caught humming on several occasions. He would get the sense it was a song of some pride. Be it victory or prowess, they were clapping one anothers' shoulders and swinging their mugs high as they sang.
One of the men rose and came to the cage behind Lera. As soon as the woman there screamed, Lera was yanked from her reverie. She stood up, the wrappings on her wrist dangling and forgotten where she pulled them from the man's hand. He was trying to tug her back down. She was screaming and spitting at the man. Something she yelled at the woman made her go limp and still and pliant in the animal's hand. He wanted fire, so he simple shoved her away and came for Lera.
He yanked her out and grabbed a chain from his side, attaching it to the collar she was wearing, hidden by her hair till now. He yanked her as she struggled and cursed. The others in the cages trying to reach for her, beckon her to go still, to play complacent. They would leave her alone.
She knew if that happened, someone else would be chosen.
As the last of the tattered uniform was stripped from her back, the material on the front now barely held on by the remnant of her collar, he chained her to the middle post. But it wasn't by her hands, it was by the neck chain. She was forced on tip toes till she had to grab the post for balance or fall and choke herself. She balanced there. Her hands, her only means of defense, left free. But she had a choice. Fight or balance. She couldn't do both.
The whip came back and landed on her with a snap and sound of wet flesh that echoed in the chamber. The men all laughed as another blow fell. And with each fall, she screamed as if she were dying. But one look in her eyes would show, though she wept, it was anger, not defeat that burned in her and kept her upright.
Outside the cave/building are 20 Orion soldiers here to rescue the captives. They are on 'hold' till he joins them and plays the scenario built from Lera's memories of the rescue

Mardusk didnt review the scene before entering. He wanted to experience, first hand, what Lera had been through to get her to... well, where she was. He activated the Holodeck from outside and entered and took the lead of the Orion troops. He was dressed in his assault gear, looking more like an armored, green rhinocerous than anything. "On me." and the Orion troops fell in. "Three... two... one... NOW!" and the door charges exploded and he rushed through the doorway...
And he locked up when he saw the scene. He forgot it was a sim. He surveyed the room... the cages... the pillars... the whips... the blood... and the look of absolute anger and hatred in Lera's eyes... and Mardusk lost it.
The sim had its safety parameters locked at 20%. Enough to really hurt, but not necessarily injure. Even with that...
Mardusk bellowed in rage and the behemoth charged the startled and stunned Orions. The first to fall held the whip. He was a big Orion male... but not big enough. A crushing fist slammed into the side of his head, breaking jaw and skull and sending teeth and blood over Lera's bound form. Next, he grabbed the one closest who had just moments before been cheering his companion on by the throat and lifted him off the floor with one arm and crushed his throat in his fingers. He threw the soon to be corpse at two forms who had started to raise disruptions, and the body slammed into them, o picking them into a wall with bone-breaking force.
A green disruptor bolt hit Mardusk in the shoulder, but he just turned and found the source. Running as fast as he could, he slammed into the Orion shoulder first, spearing him and driving him to the floor.
Bolts rang out from the Orion troops to the captors trying to flee, but Mardusk pains no attention. Hammering his fists into the face of the one on the ground, it wasnt too many blows before there was nothing left to hit. Slowly, he stood up as the sim played itself out. He walked to where Lera was bound and stood looking at her. The sim version of her looked at the troops, ignoring him. He stood for a moment before bring a massive armored boot down on the broken whip-weilder's head... which broke like an overripe melon.
=^=Computer. Pause simulation. =^= and evrything froze. He stood looking at Lera for a long time.
He then turned on his heel and walked out, deleting the record as he did so. <e>
