-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aramis and Llewel Aug 13, 2010
llewelynn_pendragon: Llewel walked thru the halls with a determination she hadn't had in some time. Reaching her hand to brush across the wall she flicked her fingers into the stone and then pulled her hand back with her sword wrapped in her grasp. Whispering a soft 'thank you' to the Keep she storms out the first main door and begins stalking towards the stables. She needs to run, to fly, to fight, to do 'something' to get rid of this pent up energy within her that had settled for no apparent reason in the last half a moon. <e>
dragonsofavarill: Aramis felt the tension moving down the hallway, like some sort of adrenaline in his very veins. Since taking up the throne and all that lay up it he had began to wake each morning with slightly heightened senses, his very touch was that of the kingdom and realm itself. He could breath in, thinking of an area within Chaos itself and almost smell the fires or ash there. He knew a emperor must hold dominion over all they prevail upon but this was going a bit too far. Chaos herself had layed upon him a gift and burden all at the same time, and while his thoughts fell upon Llewelynn, so too did he feel the jolt of tension and need for something more. Within his very core he almost felt as if it were his own, his own need, his own desire. Sitting upon the ramparts of the inner castle he (C) dragonsofavarill: listened, and watched, seeing the dots far below and instantly distinguishing from which he felt these feelings of fight or flight.(E)
llewelynn_pendragon: She was unaware of her watcher above as she skirted the knights practicing by the mews. But as she rounded the corner into a practice yard that was currently unoccupied, she growled low and gripped the sword tighter. It never dawned on her she still hadn't sheathed it. She was stalking like a hunter with death in her grip. This wasn't Fali'Sara, this was Ssisinjin Sut (sweet release). She called it simply, Ssin. It was a single blow mortal killing blade that would render most Chaos minions to the ashes from whence they came. There was no savnig grace in it. It was a judge's sword, and she was Chaos' new executioner. She swung the blade absently at the combat target as she passed it then grinned and growled audibly. Turning to face it she swung again, this time with deliberation.<c> llewelynn_pendragon: Within a few moments, the one looking down on her would see the rage and need become nearly physical and she began to wield away at the practice dummy. Shadows would coalesce around her yet keep her untouched. Those nearby at ground level wouldn't necessarily see clearly into the growing blackness surrounding her, but from on high, Aramis would watch as the ever closing circle tightened. It was either giving her privacy, or drawing closer because of her rage. Either way, Llewel was oblivious as she lost her peripheral senses and began tunneled upon the target before her. This wasn't like her. She was as pent up as he was and this was her downfall... forgetting her surroundings in a land that still wasn't sure of accepting her as he had. <e>
dragonsofavarill: He watched in silence as she assaulted the target dummy, moving from his current perch to that of a better angle he watched. His crouched position wouldn't appeal to most, but then most hadn't lived their lives as he had, the outsider, the watcher among the many. Looking around her he noted the shadows moving in, this wasn't merely a storm brewing as they did sometimes, for even the knights themselves moved far from the very presense of these shadows. This was Chaos at work, plain and simple, this was his home at work. Swallowing he felt within the shadows, deep into the core and felt a pulse, his eyes shut as he concentrated, seeking the meaning of these shadows, and from deep within them he felt it, the very power there knocked him back against the floor as he shuddered, this was (C) dragonsofavarill: She that called now. This was Vhid (chaos) herself, not some lesser deamon or diety, this was Vhid responding to the seething anger and rage it felt. The acceptance of these things it felt in her. This... was her home coming.(E)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- llewelynn_pendragon: Llewel felt something nag at her. Something was raising the hairs on the back of her neck. But as she knew nothing could harm her on these grounds, she ignored it. And it may nearly be her undoing. As she hacked at the dummy, it began to gnaw at her that her vision was darkening on the edges. "Rage" she thought to herself. That was what was tunneling her vision. But again, she cared not. She let that rage build and build till her moves were no longer precise, no longer targetted, no longer controlled. Within moments as Aramis regained his balance and looked down at her, she was hacking uncontrollably at the dummy like a new recruit who had never wielded a sword before. Her cries raised above the dark ring encircling her and she wailed as she released the anger pent up inside <c> llewelynn_pendragon: and let it move the blade. Rage at Arthur's betrayal, Rage at Vlad's abandoning of her, Rage at Kalyssien's useless sacrafice, Rage at Chaos for stealing Demascus from her, Rage at loving a man who was bound to Chaos so fully she would never fully have him, Rage at being so out of control because of being mad, that it soon cycled in on itself. She was mad for being mad, and that merely made her more upset. The folding of emotions, fueled by her empathy soon had her eyes glazed red and the dragon soul twining nearly visibly around her as if beckoning for release. <e>
dragonsofavarill: Vhid encompassed her now, leaving only room for the blade to move freely. Shadows ebbing and tightening just behind the target dummy, forming a shape, a shape which blanketed with shining stars like constellations until they joined in the region one would call eyes. Out stepped a woman, sequin like glimmerings about the gown of ebony she wore, stars, constellations and the moons themselves hung about her neck as a pendant. Her voice echoed, from wailing screams to the whisper of her childrens prayers it spoke deep within Llewel, " Nindel, dalhar orn naut xun! ( That, child will not do!)" She spoke, calling to the rage born dragon within. Her steps were cat like, her eyes blazing with the twinkling intensity of thousands of stars coalest into that single stare, and in that stare there was(C dragonsofavarill: the knowledge of eons. There within that stare was the knowing of everything. And that stare seemed to slice open the very mask of a person and grip the soul. This was Vhid, this was Chaos herself, manifest only once before, and this time, it was for Llewelynn.(E)
llewelynn_pendragon: Llewel was not so far gone she didn't notice the woman stepping into view. Her dragon raged demanding release then suddenly settled down to a singularity paceing within her soul as if anticipating release and awaiting the moment. "Lady," she nodded and lowered her sword though her knuckles were white still from the grip she maintained. "To what do I owe this pleasure? Lord Aramis, as you know, is not with me. I pray I have not slighted or offended you in some way." As the woman moved forward, Llewel's instinctive reaction was to take a step back. But when her back hit the solidity of the ring of darkness behind her, she bit back a growl. Being cornered, especially by a diety, was an unsettling thing at best, and a down right nightmare at worst. <c> llewelynn_pendragon: In Chaos, something inside told her both reactions were one in the same. <e>
dragonsofavarill: Tilting her ebony head, she gazed curiously upon the now retreating and almost self effacing form before her. How alien the concept of apology and even piety was to her, for her followers were not of this ilk without proper torment. Though she was not without grace, and not without understanding, she nodded, shifting her gaze to the blade in Llewel's hand. " You choose to speak in this language, crude though it is, I shall aquiest to this." Waving a hand in the dismissive fashion the ring widened to that of a large sparring ring, the dummy she once was attacking now engulfed within a shadowy capsule that writhed like a cocoon. " tell me child, do you think Aramis is the only one I watch? Do you think he would be the only one to amuse my curiousity?" (E)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- llewelynn_pendragon: Llewel laughed almost boldly. "I have no doubt we all amuse you, Lady. Are we all not within your purview?" She watched the target begin to metamophasize and bit back the growl she felt deep inside. If this was what the Lady wanted, she would get it. Llewel took a step forward even as the ring widened itself. "This language I choose to speak? Do you mean that which I speak or the steel with which I react?" She knew that upsetting a Goddess was not wise, but she was not feeling particularly smart at this moment. So much had been wretched from her that perhaps in this moment, she would wretch a bit of life back for herself. <e>
dragonsofavarill: The smile was evident on those ebony lips, as Llewel stepped forward her brows rose slightly though held that gaze of amusement. This one would do nicely, for now. Raising her gaze from Llewel she looked right to where Aramis once more had perched himself, then back to her current quarry and spoke, " Do you threaten me? With your little blade and your venomous temper? Do you anger so easily? Perhaps you were corrupted by a former teacher, Demascus I believe was his name. Such a waste of raw talent that one, such pitiful devotion to the unknown. " She laughed a mocking echoeing laugh, a laugh that seemed to raise from everywhere, and nowhere all at once.(E)
llewelynn_pendragon: "How dare you speak of him that way!" She took several steps forward and to Aramis it would appear as if she wouldn't stop. But she did. Halfway between them she glared at the Lady. "His devotion was limitless to you. YOU were the one who was 'pitiful'. You LET him and Vladamere serve you... but to what end? Their deaths? And not even true death, but one somehow twisted and manipulated by you." Her voice wavered as the sword handle twisted over and over in her hand. Tears threatened to fall but she kept them in check. Her voice lowered and the grin of malice remained. "You rule over a land of darkness and brimstone. And because of it, you and all those who come to you are consumed by it. And I don't mean in their demise. I mean in their living. <c>
llewelynn_pendragon: Even this sword, crafted to do Chaos' bidding, you call a 'little blade'. Well I can tell you this... like Aramis, Vlad, Demascus and all those who serve you, my loyalty is unwavering. I made those oaths that night in full blood andknowledge of what I was getting into. And while I will always serve and love you with all my soul, this moment, right here, and right now.... I hate you with every dark fiber in my being." She bent her knees slightly and her gaze locked on the still writhing mass before her. But as Vhid's gaze went back to the Keep, she lost focus a moment and followed that gaze. Aramis... was he watching? Was he hurt? Had she done something to him? Or was she merely letting Llewel know that everything, including those outside her physical gaze, were still her property? <c> llewelynn_pendragon: Either way, Llewel glanced towards the Keep even though logic told her she didn't have powerful enough sight to see if Aramis was there or not. <e>
dragonsofavarill: laughter, flitting unwavering laughter erupted from Vhid, her hands moving behind her and clasping as she continued to laugh at these words of belief from Llewelynn. " Not... not a true death... is that what you think?" Laughter once more echoed from the darkness. " Then I suppose this would be more to your liking?" She removed her hands from behind her, a replica of the blade Llewel now held within her grip as from the cocoon stepped the likeness of Vladamere, the look of confusion apparent upon his face as he emerged into the world. Footprints showed his substance, as did the whisping of his cloak in the nether winds from where he stepped. The cocoon behind him remained writhing though, it was as if he stepped from shadow itself as he always had. With the simplest of movements Vhid (C) dragonsofavarill: sliced into and through his midsection, the blood gouting out in torrents as his face paled even more then natural. His black eyes dimming as he collapsed upon the ashes, the blood caking the ash upon his being as he coughed and spit out more whispering, " why?"(E)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- llewelynn_pendragon: "NO!" The words came too late as Vlad's reaction was to grasp his stomach as if to stop what had happened. "Why?" Was all he said as he went to his knees. Tears fell then from Llewel's eyes as she watched. Her rage once more building. "NO... Why?" She stepped towards Vhid once more. "I didn't tell you to kill him. I wanted him released. Not from this life, but from the torpor like stasis he was in." She went to her knees in almost mirror image to Vlad. As he fell over sideways she screamed up at Vhid. "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?" She rose then and began to stalk towards the Goddess. Tears in her eyes now as she did so. "Will you steal Aramis from me as well? Give Demascus his true death? Take the last things I have that anchor ME to this place? <c> llewelynn_pendragon: If that is your wish, for me to surrender, then ask it. Tell me to give myself to you to spare the others and I will. They serve you, love you, sacraficed their existences for you. I am nothing compared to them. Take my life if it matters more. But do NOT do this to them... I beg of you." Her words were not light, but nearly screaming as her sword arm thrust back to indicate the space Vlad had fallen. <c>
dragonsofavarill: Laughter again flittered out from the darkness, " you think I would kill my first son, because you questioned it? " Laughter of genuine amusement echoed around them as the image of Vlad wavered and was replaced by that of a simple peasant, the likeness to Vlad nothing but a shadowy illusion. " You think yourself that important?" The scorn and mocking was apparent in her words as she strolled over to the body and spit upon it, " this filth worshipped order.." Stopping as if with a thought she looked over her shoulder and spoke but a whisper, " Isn't that where you recieved your... teaching? Your world called it Avalon, the bastion of Order in your realm... was this not your home?" Looking down at the blade once more she continued, " and that soul you hold within you, was that not (C) dragonsofavarill: a beast of order?" The disgust was apparent now as she turned toward Llewelynn, her garment adjusting and melding into that of a suit of sorts, the scales gleaming as the armor formed more substantially. (E)
llewelynn_pendragon: As the peasant took the place of Vlad, she shuddered stepping back. "I know I am of no import. But I also know in Chaos, that matters not. Small or tall, meak or might, you Dieties play with us as pawns. I know I have no control over it so why question it?" As the lady looked and judged her she answered back with a laugh that carried even to Aramis and sounded broken and harsh. "My realm. It wasn't my realm. It was a place that played me like every other. It gave me a job, a purpose and vision... then made it impossible for me to fulfill. Is that not more Chaos than Order? You ask if I was raised with the teachings of Order. I say yes. But is not everyone of that place? Just as everyone here is raised a child of Chaos? But that doesn't mean it is where we belong... where we fit in.<c> llewelynn_pendragon: Three kings died, my life was ruined, and you call that Order?" She laughed so hard now her tears stopped and for a moment the rage and pain was gone. "The only order I ever found there was the order of my heart to depart and not return. I hold two of the three swords that balance that place. Till Order decides what it wants, it is in Chaos they will remain." She slowed her laughter and looked to the Lady and shrugged. "I was taught Order, but I have lived Chaos. Is that not enough to prove to you I serve with all my heart? As to what I am," she raised her free hand to her chest, "as to what lies within, it is no more or less than what I am. So if I am now a servant of Chaos, so is it... for I serve you completely, despite my rage, my pain and my anger. I serve you so therefore <c> llewelynn_pendragon: so does that which is within me." She looked to Vhid and grinned but without the mirth. "Why do you play with me? What is it you want, Lady?" She began once more to walk towards Vhid. Her thoughts of Aramis gone again for the moment. <e>

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- dragonsofavarill: Nodding slowly Vhid whispered, " What do I want... ?" She chuckled softly as she moved toward Llewelynn, her steps combined with that of Llewelynn's own carried her within 2 steps of touching her. " I want a simple thing, something so simple it might seem obscene to one with such limited scope." Her gaze rose to the castle once more, the shadow that was Aramis was gone, replaced by flames which traveled all around the keep and the outter walls, screams fleeting into their circle of solitude as she whispered, " I want you to choose Llewelynn. Plain and simple, I want you to choose." Folding her arms across her chest she looked once more to Llewelynn as the screams became terror and the sounds of war broke out all around them. " Order will seige my world for that which it deems it's own. (C) dragonsofavarill: I cannot take of Order without giving of myself unless that which is taken gives itself to me." (E)
llewelynn_pendragon: Llewel looked at Vhid and then looked to the war breaking out as they stood their speaking. On one hand, if she chose to remain a child of Avalon, war would decimate Chaos as 'her order' invaded the realm because of her bound link to Aramis, the 'Heart of Chaos'. As the fire and death assailed her, Llewel turned to Vhid and nodded. Sheathing Ssin, she held her hands out and whispered "Come..." Fali'Sara, the Sword of the Protector and the unnamed Sword of the King's Wisdom, came to her hands from the shadows where they were stowed. Turning back to Vhid she bit her lip and prayed to whoever would listen that she was choosing right. "Order has done nothing to show me its worth in these. I believe the unnamed sword came to me to find peace till peace reined in Avalon and Camelot once more.<c> llewelynn_pendragon: My heart belongs to Aramis as my soul belongs to Chaos. I will fight for her now. I will fight for you." She held the sword to the Lady. "I am the Protector of the King here and though I have no blade, I will defend that title and that right and protect Lord Aramis till my dieing breath... and with him, Chaos." She watched the Lady's reaction and wondered if Aramis would fall and all would be lost because of her giving up the sword that made her what she was. It was a risk, but Fali'Sara did not work here as she did in Avalon or Camelot. This realm made it no more than a short sword of steel. Giving it to Vhid along with the unnamed third of the trilogy did not wretch at her heart as she thought it would. Perhaps because Fate was telling her this was how it was meant to be. <c> llewelynn_pendragon: She just hoped Fate was right. <e>
dragonsofavarill: Reaching out slowly Vhid took up the blade. All war had stopped suddenly, the fires and screams echoing into nothingness as she looked over the blade. If Llewel looked up she would not the whirlpool effect of the stars, the ebbing and rising of the moons as if the days and nights were flowing in some accelerated rate. Nodding slowly Vhid whispered, " You have given of this willingly, of your own accord. In doing so I accept you Llewelynn, protector of the fallen kings of order and harbringer of my word. Protector of the emperor of Chaos and my realm. I accept you and grant you a boon, for these are not my things, these are but instruments of my will." And with those words she raised high both blades, her eyes flareing bright and the very words echoing in all languages as void fires r(C) dragonsofavarill: ripped open a crack before her in the ash, " These blades hold your name for you to call, for they are of you Llewelynn Pendragon. But remember upon calling them, they are born of ME" And in those final words she plunged the blades into the void fire, the very flames licking and etching their runes and images upon both blades, blessing or cursing however you see fit to view it, those blades of order into far more lethel and deadly weapons of Chaos. Each rune burned with unholy fire, the hilt themselves ripping apart to become black as obsidian and strong as adamantite hardened in the soul fires of Chaos' own blood. In those moments as well the cocoon broke, bearing with it a suit, armor much like that of Vladamere's gift to Llewelynn, only this time the bracelet was far more substantial: and intricate in it's designs. This suit replicated that of which Vhid now wore, a suit of dragonscale lightness of the same make and runing as the blades. Shadows ripped away in screaming agony as Vhid, and the void fires vanished. leaving only whispers, " Welcome home Llewelynn.." The blades and the bracelet hanging upon the target dummy all that remained now to show this had passed at all.(E)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- llewelynn_pendragon: Llewel blinked her eyes as the fires remade not just the swords, but her soul. Falling to her knees as she felt the change, the silver dragon shifted to coal black and the silver flaked to fall like ash at her knees. She was truly of Chaos now. Whatever Vhid had done, was done to her core. She no longer felt the aching stir of Camelot in her, what she did feel was the anger of Aramis on the ramparts of the Keep and restless sleep of Vlad lost in nightmares she couldn't control, and the warmth of Demascus' touch from beyond what he had become. She lifted the remade swords and felt the difference. They were still the 'shield' and 'staff' of the trilogy that included the 'sword' Excalibur. But now they answered to the realm she served. It was Aramis, as King, that she would <c> llewelynn_pendragon: be drawn to to protect, serve, and balance as he ruled. If Camelot crowned another King, she was sure she would know. But the pull to protect wouldn't be as strong if at all. Since she doubted that day would come soon, she swiftly pushed that away. Setting the swords on the ground once more, with care, she stood before the armour. Touching the top of her left forarm she whispered "To me". To her surprise, the amulet that Demascus had given her appeared on her arm. "Two sets of armour to serve with." She smiled. Demascus' armour was still part of her. She would use it in most times when nothing more was called for. If protecting Aramis... She lifted the amulet from the suit before her and slid it over her left forarm... she would call for this one. "Within..." <c> llewelynn_pendragon: She tapped the top of the new amulet and it sank beneath her skin as the other had. Touching the first she whispered the same and felt it sink into her as well. Looking then at the armour she laughed slightly. "Hope you aren't like your twin's." She hefted the plate that would cover her chest and whispered "Within..." Nothing happened. "Good..." She tapped the amulet the Goddess had given her and drew it to the surface. The ebony stone, winking with black fire if you gazed too long, looked good against her skin set in the deep almost burnt silver wirework around it. Setting the breast plate down she lifted the swords and smiled. "Ok, I can't carry everyone back so you two... 'Till I have need to call once more'" She smiled as the winked out and Choas claimed them her usual way. <c> llewelynn_pendragon: Glancing to the Keep she shook her head. "This should be just as interesting." She lifted the pieces of armour and carried them back to the Keep. If anyone saw her they would see the gifted armour in her hands and the amulet now on her left wrist winking in the moonlight. As she crossed the yard she nodded to the Knights and students now staring at her as if unknowing who she was. For a brief moment she wondered if the Goddess had changed more than her soul. She didn't glance up again as she entered the main courtyard, not wanting to see if Aramis was upset because of her or something else. Sometimes empathy had a downside... one knew the emotions, but not the 'why'. <e>
dragonsofavarill: The growl was loud and echoing, reverberating in the very sky as thunder as he stepped from his perch upon the ramparts as Llewel disappeared into the keep. " You want to keep playing games you BITCH, I told you she wasn't yours to have!" He screamed into the sky. Shakeing his head he moved towards the doorway, wings of ebony folding in and melding into his back once more as he began his decent into keep. Walking slowly along the corridors he searched with is mind, he couldn't find order anymore, it was gone, there was nothing of that sense he could find, and yet he could feel Llewelynn herself as he had at any other time, only now she felt... newly born. Swallowing he looked around him at the walls, his fingers touching upon their marble smoothness as he whispered, " if you harmed her(C) dragonsofavarill: mother... I will make you regret it."(E)
llewelynn_pendragon: Llewel went straight to the armoury to set the armour upon a new stand she found there as if anticipating. "There... I am sure we will need you soon enough. But for now, rest here." She smiled and ran her hand over the wall to call the twin blades to her just as Aramis touched the wall elsewhere. As she called the blades to her, he would feel a more pronounced difference in her. Instead of the quicksilver coolness of her 'touch', he would sense a blackfire warmth like newly hammered steel. She shivered feeling him thru the wall. He was upset and she had to find out why. Her own rage, anger and restlessness was somehow quieted for now. She only hoped it would last. Stepping from the armoury, she headed for Aramis with only his gifted sword on her hip and the new amulet on her arm <c> llewelynn_pendragon: as anything different in her appearance. The black practice tunic and breeches with the silver worked belt and detailing was normal as was the fact her hair, though coiled perfectly this morning, was now whisping loose around her temples and the nape of her neck because of her workout against the dummy. <e>
