Sahra had been enraged the first time she had come here. Darkness within her had been misunderstood by those around her and she had only known that it was part of her. She hadn't understood the whys or wherefores, but in finding this place, she had found those answers. She was a Sith... or would be some day.
She had left to take care of some loose ends off world. It was unavoidable and she doubted her return would be open armed. She only hoped it wouldn't be a closed door. Opening the front doors of the keep in the wee morning hours, she padded silently to her room and was glad the key still fit in the trunk at the side of her bed. It meant she was still welcome. Though how she would be received by those in the keep in the morning was another matter.
Heading outside in her practice gear a few moments later, she began to stretch and move objects around the garden with her mind and tried to gain better control of larger numbers and faster movements. Running, leaping and tossing she continued as the sun rose. As dawn broke through the area she was in, she lost herself to the motions and the actions and soon lost herself in the calm that the Force practices had always given her. Even while away, these practices, these motions, these lessons, had been a tie to home that had kept her grounded and centered so far from the planet she now called home and hopefully would for the rest of her life.

Zephyrus Cloud knew Sahra Pritath quite well, he was after-all her host to the dark side. It had been sometime since he had last encountered her, she was one of his best students for the longest time. She had a need to learn and constantly sought him out... but then like all his other students... she had left him. He did not hold a grudge for he knew his practices were very difficult to deal with... and he assumed she had a very very good reason for abandoning him. And now here she was but a few mere meters from his person... she apparently hadn't noticed his approach to busy trying to make up for lost times. The now Dark Lord of the Sith cleared his throat loudly to get her attention. He looked down on her darkly, his face contorted almost into a sneer. He may have appreciated her original drive... but that didn't exempt her from the rules.

Her usual reaction to thrust everything her mind could touch at the intruders sneaking up on her was quickly reined in by her new control. The objects simply formed a loose wall before her. Had the throat clearing been followed by a saber sweep, or a projectile, the wall of debris would have helped her deflect or even stop it.
Seeing her old Mentor, Zeph, before her, she quickly allowed the rocks and branches to fall in a pile before her as if discarded. He would have no trouble seeing the tie she still had to those pieces should he choose to 'look' at her Force power. She had also learned not to completely drop her guard for any reason. The trip, while necessary and as swift as she could make it, hadn't been without troubles. It had shown her as nothing else could have, that she had further to go than even her own mind had fathomed a few moons turns ago.
“Lord Zeph... good morning. It is good to see you again. I will not bore you with excuses, merely say I am back and shall not leave again till you deem me ready to do so. Be it after I am fully trained enough to do so...” and here she nodded slightly to him to show she also knew he next words were a possibility as well, “...or you say I am no longer worthy to remain and should leave and 'never' return.”
Clasping her hands before her, deep eyes gazed directly at him with no defiance, no fear, merely a waiting... a calm that hadn't been there before. As if she knew, no matter her fate, she would continue to learn, continue to grow... with or without the help of those here in the Keep.
She just hoped it would be WITH their help and blessing...

A smile slowly emerged on his face. Many of the others in power would disparage her, refer to her as a failure for leaving their side... but that was not what Zephyrus was going to do. "I hope your trip was... fruitful." He said coldly behind his crocodile smile. He allowed for an intense cold, uneasy feeling to wash over her. He wanted her to know he was capable of so much more. "I am content you are fully aware that I am not one for excuses. Tell me, Sahra..." Zephyrus said as he brushed away the debris on the floor she had put between the with his feet. Once reasonably clear he moved to sit next to her slowly starting to warm to her presence (at the very minimum that is what he showed),"...if you were in my place how would you handle this prodigal return?" He asked with a twinkle in his eye. He was curious what she would say, he wanted to get her thinking.

She felt his cold but had expected far worse. This she was able to bear up and even managed to not force back against it but allow the cold to penetrate her and a shiver followed. She deserved it. Deserved his coldness and far more. She didn't tense, knowing it would make it worse, but as his words danced over her skin mockingly, she half expected pain, or at the very least, an attack.
“It accomplished what was needed, M'lord.” She looked to him feeling his growth in power. As he stepped towards her, the coldness seemed to retreat. And as he sat down and smiled lightly, she relaxed and sat beside him. Looking away, unable to face his full gaze, she bit her lip absently and stiffened her chin. “I suppose endless chrono marks of drills, perhaps even beginning again would be punishment fit for the crime. I left... I hadn't asked, gained permission, or even left word. To be honest, I wasn't sure the outcome would leave me capable of returning. It seemed pointless to ask for leniency if death was to be the fruit of my labor.”
After a moment she lifted her chin, and defiance flared in her eyes. “But we are Sith. We are not lenient, nor are we forgiving... as you said, you are not one for excuses. So my other thought would be to pick up where we left off. To see if I maintained and practiced. To punish me with failure if I am unable to keep up. After all, if I cannot keep up then obviously I wasn't serious to begin with. Had I been dedicated, I would have found a way to remain strong, learn and grow and come back willing to continue... would I not?” She raised an eyebrow then and wondered how he would respond to her line of thinking.

That was exactly what Zephyrus had wanted to hear. The woman sitting with him was cold and calculating and he had appreciated that. He nodded in approval, "Well, Sahra it has been sometime since your life has been on the line I would imagine that you have the possibility of being rusty..." Zephyrus paused knowing that her trust in him was grand, "...and thus I am going to throw you in direct competition for your life... I know you just returned but... you and I are going off-planet to find a little conflict." A darker smile replaced his former one as he quickly moved to his feet. "We will leave in the morning."

“Yes, Lord Zeph....” was all she could manage as he rose. She rose with him and nodded. “Do I need to bring anything in particular?” She had expected a duel, even a duel to near death. But this... an off world jaunt in a life or death competition. She knew she should have expected something like this... but she hadn't anticipated that.
Her mind reeled with the thousand possibilities before it dawned on her that it was pointless. He had chosen and she would follow. That was all there was to it.
She would spend the day practicing, preparing, centering and grounding herself so she would not be a disappointment to him. She only hoped that living wasn't going to be a disappointment either. Shame was sometimes worse than death.

Zephyrus smiled at her question, "Well that is entirely up to you my dear..." He said still smiling. "Should you wish to make a name for yourself as a murder then your identity will not be needed to be hidden... but if your wish is to strike from darkness, might I suggest a mask to cover that pretty little face of yours?" Zephyrus announced. "I am generally for having you learn for yourself, bring whatever you think is smart to bring. I will allow you the use of one of my sabers, killing someone with a training blade is quite difficult."

Sahra nodded. “Yes, M'lord. A mask seems like a good idea. A face doesn't strike fear, the unknown does.” Her eyes narrowed with malicious thoughts and a smile curved the corner of her lips. “I am honored you would allow me such a gift, even to borrow. I will make you proud and earn my own way to a saber in the process.”
Her head inclined graciously and she hoped with all her seething Sith heart that this was a turning point in her life to being a Sith Master. One day she hoped to be on the other end of this conversation. She wanted to be the one teaching someone else to be a calculating, ruthless death dealer. Till then, she would learn all she could.
