Life had been simple for her growing up: wake up at 4 am, have a quick breakfast, and then it was off to the archeological dig site with Gran and Grams. Unlike other Imperial born girls, she never had to endure long hours of Imperial indoctrination behind a desk about how ‘great’ the Empress was, to hate alien species, and unquestioningly accept the Imperial ideals and way of life, as the only way of life.
After the death of her parents, Gran and Grams had been landed with her at the age of five. Because of the nature of their work and due to the fact that they’d already had a job waiting for them at a new site way out on the edge of Imperial space, her Grandparents took the least amount of time making funeral arrangements and getting their granddaughter enrolled in an proper all-girls boarding school. Which, she’d flatly refused to attend.
So, rather than fighting to un-pry her then chubby fingers from the speeder door handle and drag her by her heels up the steps of the school, Gran and Grams just shrugged their shoulders and threw their better judgments out the window, deciding to take her with them.
She’d been content, then, and traveled along with them through the Galaxy to dozens of study sites. She’d learned to read and write from drafts of holo journals and articles, astrogation from studying star maps and a number of other things that were not ‘proper’ for a young lady of Imperial birth. To her, life had been blissfully perfect...until…
Alannah shuddered and shook her head, coming back in touch with the world around her. That was another time, another life, but even though the Empire was far away from her - the memories would always be close by.
She'd relocated to Telos, the heart of the Republic, her new home. Who would complain about being able to live in an all-paid-for house on the beach? She could have a comfortable and quiet life here, though it was not quite as adventurous as what she was used to.
Alannah shifted in her spot on the sand, adjusting her top and shorts and glancing around. Not surprisingly, it was beginning to mist heavily and she ran her hands up and down her arms, feeling a burst of ocean breeze blast against her freckled face, causing her golden curls to billow around her. Hazel eyes watched as fog started to rise on the crashing waves, the sun setting rapidly against a backdrop of peachy-hues and indigos. She was wrapped up in the beauty of the moment, and frowned towards the end, feeling disappointed when it was all said and done. She sighed and stood from the sand, brushing as much of it off of herself as possible and pondered what she’d do with the rest of her evening.

-This drama had kept the mandalorian High General completely busy from his work. This was all over a course of a few months.... maybe. The point was; Tal hadn't had the chance to get some true R&R after returning to Telos with Alizabeth. Yes, he had finally brought her safely home into the arms of the New Republic. Would he receive a medal for what he did? Probably not. In fact, the Senate was probably going to be recommending a new military leader take his place. That was typical though. The senate always seemed to jump to conclusions with the NR military leader. It seemed this way, because Tal was the youngest High General the NR has ever seen. There would be a proposal for a new military leader, but would the motion carry forward? Probably not. Tal had enough experience and know-how to keep the military alive for this long. It was part of the reason why he kept his position for a good three years now.-
-Beside that; it felt good to step on sandy beaches of Thani again. It was a traditional day for both the mandalorian military leader and the one person he cared about the most... Alizabeth Moroveston. Yeah! Ever since he joined SpecForce and became their Lietuenant; Tal always seemed to find himself sticking extremely close to Liz. This time they were both back home where they belonged. Not on some rogue planet being threatened by a sith or pirates. This was home soil to them, and it felt good. Tal kept himself on the comfortable side with his sleeves rolled up and wearing blue-jean shorts. His hair was now touching his shoulders. This happened only because he was way to busy to cut it.-
-Yellow eyes lifted to the skies of Thani; while a smell waved over them. Yes this was Telos their home.-
"It sure feels great to be back home," -Tal said calmly. During the last couple of incidents that had occurred; Kote found himself tense and stressed out of his mind. He still had to worry about going back to his job as High General, but he seemed more relaxed now then ever.-

Peace... and calm.
Liz had almost forgotten what it was like to go out and not be afraid she wouldn't come back. The last few yrs, while being a boon to her now love, Tal, had not been so kind to her. Between kidnappings, hospital recoveries and near death experiences, the Representative had come to the conclusion there was absolutely nothing left the galaxy could throw at her that would surprise her.
The road home, back to Telos, had been a rocky one. Months of hospital stays, surgeries and therapy had given way to debriefs, psych evals and physical training all over again. Tal, her ever steady rock, had been there from the beginning. He had first taught her to protect herself as the leader of her military escort to Drunkenwell, and in the end, had come to her rescue on Munto Codru as the Sith, Jack tried to take them both out.
But it was all in the past. Brushing her long wind blown tresses from her face, she smiled and held Tal's hand as they walked on the beach in the growing mist. Should they have called it a day and gone in... probably. But both were too stubborn. So they walked as rain slowly settled their hair as it dampened and the wind picked up. Liz turned sideways and reached up with her free hand to ruffle Tal's growing locks. "You should get your hair cut. I'm surprised you haven't done it yet." She laughed teasing him. "I bet you haven't put your uniform back on either, have you?" She knew he preferred more casual street attire when at work, if not in an official capacity. He said it made everyone feel more at ease with his younger self being there when all his medals and ribbons weren't blaring in their faces to remind them what he had accomplished at such a young age.
Still holding to his metal hand, Tal's whole spine and right side now being made of steel, she held his hand and laughed. "Soooo... my great protector... what would you do if I decided to... say... run from you?" She gave him just the time it took for her to wink before she let go and bolted down the wet, sandy beach. She was laughing so hard she wasn't even sure he had followed. Her mental place to stop, to give him a chance to catch up, was just before they reached a lone female figure further up the strand. The woman had just turned to head back away from the choppy surf as Liz ran towards her laughing in her escape from her lover. While not intentional, it may have appeared to someone as if Liz was running towards the woman, herself... and not just in that general direction.
