Alizabeth Moroveston ordered another drink and smiled. She had shown up early in the Cantina to watch the crowd before the reporter, Rhafe showed up. She had left him a personal comm to meet her there at 1800 for drinks and to discuss his coming to Drunkenwell with her and her team.
Her team....
The term sounded odd, but there was no other word for it. She had recruited three military men, a Lt and two cadets, to accompany herself and the reporter. She was going to get an intel officer as well, but no one had time that wasn't already part of the groups heading there or already there. So she would settle for five. If they had to split, chances are, the cadets would accompany Rhafe, and the Lt would accompany her. She would make sure it didn't come to that though.
Sipping her ale, she waited and made notes on the datapad. The recorder was still in her pocket, recording, but since no one was supposed to know about it, keeping notes made her seem prepared.

The next man who spoke her name was not, however, Rhafe. Though, I'm sure he'd be along in good time.
"...Miss Moroveston? Sorry to interrupt you, my name is Jay. Jay Shaun..."
He was a tall human, dark hair, and a curious red-caped outfit. Perhaps almost out-of-place he seemed at the moment. But among exotically gowned Senators and alien species from both far and wide, who was to say his outfit was anything but fitting? Haha. Either way, he seemed gentle enough in his mannerisms.
"I'm an advisor to the Cinnagarian Aristocracy. And a friend, if you will. ...Now, if you'll excuse me again, I heard you where putting together a team? A very special team I might add? ...I was wondering, if you would entertain me with an answer. of course, ...why?"
An innocent question from an innocent stranger. But this was politics and people. Best not to assume anything. His tone was pleasant enough, excellent posture, and a simply amazing aura of optimism. In fact, he almost quite literally had an aura.
"But excuse me, I'm being rude aren't I? I only have a few questions for you and I won't take up much of your time. Just a quick interview for the so-often 'interviewer'. Haha. ...Sorry, bad pun."
He chuckled and motioned if he could have a seat and join her.
"...Can I buy you a drink? Of course, I don't mean to impose?"

Liza had seen the man come in, who wouldn't. But she was utterly surprised when he walked right up to her and called her by name.
“It is a pleasure, Mr. Shaun. Please... have a seat.” She moved a couple datapads and her own drink and offered him a seat. “Forgive me if I am a bit taken aback. Not many have asked me about the team.” She still thought that reference sounded odd, regardless how accurate it was. “I am putting together a team to go to Drunkenwell. You ask 'why'?” She laughed softly and took a sip of her drink. She wasn't going to tell a complete stranger her complete story... at least not yet. “Why not? I am with the Senate and we have plenty of parties heading there. Mine is merely one of them.” Perhaps one of the more important ones, but no need to tell you that quite yet. She mused to herself, unaware that she was projecting. “Now, if you will be so kind as to entertain me with an answer... why do you want to know?” She raised her glass, now nearly empty, to catch the waitresses attention and signal for another.
As the waitress nodded in recognition, she lowered her glass and smiled. “As to the drink, I will take you up on it. You are not imposing.” She leaned back to await his own response, unaware that as she waited, her mind flickered over the members of the team already committed to the course. Cadet Adam Faulker, whom would mostly likely be the one in plain clothes with weapons; Cadet Masor, the one most likely to be in uniform. He didn't quite convey the 'I am an attache' feel that would be Adam's cover. And there was Lt. Tal Kote, their immediate commanding officer in the field. While Liza would be in charge of the little parade, he was certainly the one in charge of keeping them safe. They both understood their strengths and weaknesses in regards to one another. She was sure there would not be friction when push came to shove.
Deep eyes watched the man before her, unaware of what he truly was, and she pondered things about the mission she hadn't revealed yet, including that she was the one to oversee the actual signing of the joining of Drunkenwell to the Republic. As a new Senate Intern, this was surely an honorary first assignment and one she was not taking lightly.

He gladly took a seat and listened. She spoke wisely and answered his question without giving anything away. Not that there wasn't much to give anyway. Anybody who read the news had heard about Drunkenwell. The good, the bad, and ugly. But it was still a meager topic compared to most peoples daily priorities. Jay, for one, was glad that Alizabeth seemed to be making it a top priority.
"As I said, I'm a foreign advisor to the Aristocracy of Koros Major. Cinnagar System, as it is commonly called these days. And the truth is, I'm something of a patriot for the Republic, Miss Moroveston. We all know the long lasting effects of the recent Imperial Government and it's broken trusts and dark promises. Any progress towards a more peaceful star system is well worth the effort. Drunkenwell included."
He paused to order a drink and feel more relaxed. It wasn't often that Jay got to feel this 'civilian' for a change. It was nice.
"...You could say it's something of an example. Many eyes are watching, you know? To see if this 'New Republic' can keep it's promises and deliver on it's deals. Very speculative, as it were."
Jay was a talker by nature. Having joined the Jedi Order as a near adult, he was more accustomed to the life and customs of Coruscant than anywhere else. As if the planet were like a second home and a first language to him. Thats why when he spoke, he spoke freely. Talking with his hands, gesturing with his shoulders, chuckling with a light heart, and squinting his eyes at difficult subjects. He simply liked to communicate.
"Truthfully, I was wondering if there was anything you needed? Any help that my associates and I could offer you? I want to make sure that you have all the tools you will need to succeed. Whether it's money, man-power, transportation, or simply good moral support."
He raised his glass and smiled broadly,
"...But mostly I want you to know that you are not alone. You have many friends, and good ones too. Some of us are just looking for an opportunity to lend a hand. Haha."
The red-caped man took a sip of his glass and winked at her playfully,
"And I hope that answers your question too. Haha."
