-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sept 12, 2007
The doorman helped Beth out of the car as Sho looked up and tapped his shoulder. "Marcus, shall we?" She smiled and offered her arm. As they headed into the plane, she ordered immediate take off. Settling in the back, a woman dressed in a short skirt and half unbuttoned blouse came in to ask Marcus if he wished a drink. She was dressed like a sexy version of a flight attendant and it was obvious if there was more than a drink on his mind, she would be happy to oblige. Beth sat back in her plush couch along one wall and watched the girl flirt with Sho.
Kojiro sighed- "I'm fine.." He wasn't in the least bit interested in the woman, she was way too forward. He stared at Beth as he daydreamed. How long was he going to have to play this marcus role? He wishe d he could me him, just to see what type of person he was, his mannerisms. What about him attracted her to a mortal. He laughed at the thought. "...ill never understand it.." He gave the attendant a scowl wish made her flee to the front of the jet, she got the message.
Beth laughed as the poor girl hightailed it to the front. Clicking a button on the console beside her, a light went on near the front of the cabin and a moment later, the same attendent closed the door so they were alone. The Captain came on to announce they would be landing in Sol in 45 minutes as they are going to have to skirt a storm. The speaker went off and Beth smiled. "So my dear, bodyguard. I put my life in your hands. From here out, you call the shots." She watched his reaction. "Kojiro, I am so sorry for what I have put you thru. To be honest, I wanted you only to steal Excalibur for me and then be gone." She looked away from him, shrugged from her coat and set it and the sheathed sword and harness on the flooe beside her. "Maybe it was my way of rebelling because I was too scared just to run away." She sighed leaning back and closed her eyes. Her voice dropped to a near whisper with a hint of laughter. "I must be the only immortal who doesn't know how to BE immortal." Sadness creeped in. Things were easier before civilizations became so organized. Suddenly she couldn't find her place.
Kojiro listened to her with open ears. "There is no such thing as an immortal." His statement had a profound meaning, maybe moreso than she realized. How a person chose to live there life was only measure by the amount of passion that put into living it. Kojiro had lived by the philosphy for a long time, things seem so easy for him only because he accepts things as they come, and lets things go when they wither. He sighed- "Ill help you find yourself, and in turn you'll help me find "me". I'm only willing to help if your adamant about freeing yourself from comformitys." His look was serious and stoic.
As he talked, she lifted her head to listen and look at him. It was true, immortal meant 'no beginning, no end' and just as she was borne into this world, someday she would die. She nodded as he asked her level of commitment. "I want to stop acting the timid frail human. I am Fae, I am a warrioress, I want that part of me back." When he mentioned her helping him find himself, she bit her lip. "Kojiro... I will do all I can. I want us to be happy together. Whether it's as lovers, friends or merely battle mates. And if you wish," she laughed softly, "I will stop calling you Marcus. I know you were never fond of it, but thank you for dealing with it. Drom here on out, it won't matter anymore anyway. Just tell me what you wish me to call you, Kojiro, Sho," she winked teasing, "Koji or love. Whatever it is, as long as we are together, I don't care." She couldn't quite fathom where that came from, but it indeed came from her heart. And as silly and teenagerish as it sounded, she hoped he understood what she offered and wished.
"Call me what you want, as long as its Kojiro." He teased her with the paraodoxical comment. The plane announced the arrival and soon made its landing Kojiro grew silent until they stepped off the plane and actually touched grown in Sol. His foot hitting the soil Kojiro took in a deep breath of air- "I smell blood.."He looked around a bit at the dark foreboding city, he whistled a perculiar tone and three black clad lightly armored ninjas appeared in a sea of red smoke. He chuckled- "So The Brood does stil live, good...I need to speak to my brother. Where is Kurow?" The lead ninja bowed apon speaking, "Lord Chaos, he's in the keep near the old district, would you allow us to escort you there sire?" Kojiro nodded and looked back at Beth- Klets get outta here.."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sept 13, 2007
She smiled and nodded to him as they exited. When his whistle brought ninja from the mist and shadows, she nodded to them as much as any of them glanced at her. As he said, "Let's get outta here." She nodded and followed. Her sword was back on her body hidden by the back of the jacket and she had told the jet to return to New Avalon and await her call tomorrow to return. She lifted her chin to draw on her inner strength, she followed him as if she always had.
"Lord chaos, where did you go? Grandmaster Kurow was not happy. He's likely to attack you sire." The ninja squad seemed timid to speak with him about the subject matter. They lead them two toward the entrace door where apon sight the 2 door guards bowed lowly to Kojiro, he was rather humble-
"Get up...I told you all not to bow to me.." The irritation in his voice was apparent. The two where led further into the stronghold where Kurow was waiting in the throne room. He looked vaguely like Kojiro sitting apon the throne. But there where enough differences to tell they weren't twins. His blue eyes matched his darker colored skin and snow white hair compared to Kojiros.
Kojiro didn't even have a chance to put up his gaurd before Kurow disapeared and then reappeared infront of him sending a swift punch to his gutt. Doubling him over he then planted an agile kick to his face sending him across the room crashing into a wall. "WHERE THE HELL HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!?"
Beth growled and her hand lifted to the hilt of her sword as she stepped up and put herself between Kojiro and the one they faced. "He was with me." Was all she said. Kojiro said she would bleed. She was willing to take the blow since he had stayed at her whim. Her trail to finding herself could end here. But she would die on her feet and not cowering like a simpering human.
Kojiro got up slowly coughing and laughing at the same time- " Beth stand down."
Kurow pushed bethed aside and walked toward Kojiro picking him up by the collar. "We lost two whole battalions because of you! Why the hell are you where those clothes anyway?"
Kojiro smirked pulling himself free- "shut up. You got your two free hits, anymore and I'm fighting back big brother."
Kurow growled pushing him into the wall- "Your a Tanaka Kojiro, you can't just do as you please because you have that devil gene!" Kurows anger soon dwindled though and he regained his composurer looking back at beth with aqua blue eyes.- "State your name." His look was one of cold leadership, of a different quality than Beths. Even she would recognize he was not one to be trifled with.
Though shoved aside, she kept her footing. One thing she never let happen was for her body to be out of shape, unlike her mind. As the man turned back to her, she tilted and inclined her head to show respect and straightened up as that CEO aire enveloped her. "I am Elizabeth Rh'Jod de Envaries." She left it at that. It was not her place to say why she was here. To be honest, she wasn't sure what she could answer if she had too.
Kurow shook his head- "Your a Fae aren't you woman?" His irritation was boiling- "Why would you bring her here Kojiro?"
Kojiro dusted himself off and walked over to Kurow with response- "She's my girlfriend in the simplest of terms. Dont worry about her, she's not going to try anything." Kurow looked at her once more and left it at that. "Brother I've came here for a favor, nobody else but you can do this."
Kurows interest peaked as he heard his brothers request- "this better be good."
Kojiro paused for a moment then looked back at beth- "Love, give Kurow a demestration of your baby for me?"
Smiling and giving a small bow, Beth nodded to Kurow. "Mlord, if you will pick one to fall with honor so I may show you?" Kurow nodded to one of the ninja who leered at her and murmured something about not falling for any woman. She was thinking of how Sho had introduced her. It seemed to lighten her inside to think that was the first excuse from his lips. She didn't mind at all. Nodding with a partial bow to both Kurow then Kojiro, she turned to her opponent and bowed. As he bowed, she lifted her hand to her neck and before he could reach for his blade, the sound of steel on steel whispered and a hiss was heard as the blade Excalibur, sliced thru the air. Just before she would have taken the man's head, her whole body bowed backwards and she merely sliced the side of his cheek. It was with surgical precision and though with a normal blade would have bleed, been compressed and then stopped, the blood kept flowing from the small insignificant wound. Her body bent further back as the blade continued its spin over her and then back to her side where she stood balanced on the balls of her feet ready to attack if the opponent drew his sword.
Kojiro shook his head at the effects of the sword. It was visible but not enough of an impact. He snarled to the girl as she regained her attack stance. "No mercy." This wasnt only a duel. It was a test of the swords power. She was among the worlds last true ninjas she had to be brutal. « Last Edit: Sep 14th, 2007, 11:26pm by Llewellynn »

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She stood there as the ninja sneered and tried to wipe the blood. Swiping once more, the blade cut his forehead. This too, was no mortal wound, but like the cut on his cheek there was no sign of the bleeding stopping. Her only action was to return once more to her stance as the ninja tried to clear his vision unsuccessfully. Her only words were. "I have shown none, Mlord." Her words were cold. Unlike anything he had heard from her. The ninja began to stagger as his blood flow was unceasing. "Anyone can take a land a scratch. Anyone can leave a scar. Only a warrior can take a head." She never let her eyes leave the paling ninja as her voice dropped lower and colder. "Now you don't need a warrior to kill." As the ninja got frustrated, he dropped the blade he had drawn and was wiping furiously at his face which would not stop bleeding. She took another swipe. This time a small cut to the back of the hand. Slowly the ninja fell to his feet screaming for someone to help stop the blood. Beth's gaze never wavered, her body never shuddered and she never averted her eyes as she took this life, her first, before Kojiro and Kurow.
Kojiro smirked as the ninja fell to the sheer abstract destructuion of the blade. "Good." Kojiros praise was short but filled with genuwine praise. "Urow stood up from his thrown and steeped down to inspect the ninjas corpse. "What's the blade you weild made of, its not just steel." He looked toward her contemplativly as kojiro watched the two interact.
As the ninja fell silent and collapsed, his blood continued to flow into a pool around him till nearly every drop of the three quarts was a crimson pool. She had stepped back as the blood came towards her as if scared to let it touch her. Stepping towards Kurow who had sat down during the demonstration, she sheathed her sword and bowed. "Mlord, it is edged with a special mythril composite then coated with a thinner edge of nanite technology. The nanos enter the skin thru the scratch and bread down the blood at the site so it cannot clot. Thus continueously bleeds. The smallest scratch can kill as the vicitim will be unable to staunch its flow. And heat," she smiled wickedly, "enhances the process. It excites the nanos and makes it worse, so cauterizing it no good either." She let the words sink in hoping he would understand why a simple kill would not have been a sufficient demonstration. "It is called Excalibur. Because he who wields it, wields absolute power." She stood there with the calm and grace that even the other ninja had with one difference. There was a stillness, a calm, to her that seemed wholly feminine and almost twice as deadly.
Kojiro shook his head "Bad choice of words Beth.." Immediately Kurow burst into laughter- "You are a fool fae." He vanished in a cloud of smoke thenstood face to face with Beth. "Hasn't Chaos taught you there is no such thing as Absolute power? " He smirked- "I have already spotted the weakness in your weapon." He held up his finger as if to say "tsk. tsk" "Possibly two weaknesses." Suddenly Kurow drew his katana and vanished at once, he had then appear on the ceiling directly above Beth.- "For one your sword Only as powerful as the person who weilds it, you cannot claim absolute power with your skills Faerie."
Beth withdrew her sword and backed up smiling as she also withdrew a small vial from her jacket. Holding the vial over the blade she smiled. "I have many weaknesses. Everyone does." She unstoppered the vial so the small cork fell to the floor. She had moved about 45 degrees past the Samauri when she spoke finally. "And I also have strengths. I can remake this technology..." She looked about to pour the vial over the blade. "Can you..." She smiled that cold wicked calculating smile; the one she used in board rooms when they dared to think that being a woman meant she was weak. "ONE single drop on this blade and a cascade begins. The nanos die and the blade is nothing more than a forever sharp piece of steel." Tilting her head she smiled. "Tell me now, Mlord. How weak am I?"
Kurow wasn't impressed with her strategy. He began a series of hand signs and then from under Beth hands from the earth its self grabbed her, making her incapable of moving. Vanishing back to the floor he began another series of hand signs as if biding time for her to release herself, she had technology but she was not dealing with a man of normal skill, he himself was the only man to do combat with Kojiro and hold his own. "Watch this Faerie, ill only do this once." His handsigns began to repeat and become more rapid as his eagle sharp eyes stared at elizabeth.
"Messatu goh hado." A large blue light emanated from kurows body as he ran toward Elizabeth at an insane speed. But this was not the principle of the attack. Suddenly on the other side of Beth a doppleganger of kurow mimiced his movements. The real kurow reaching her first slipped past her upper guard with his kunai cutting her arm and distracting the second ones movements. As this kurow cut the other one appeared, thrusting a kick so lethal it knocked the weapon free from elizabeths grasp.
"AAAAhhhhh" she cried out as the kick knocked the blade from her. She rolled away from the kick and hit the floor, the vial lay broken from being knocked from her grasp. Her eyes never left either vision of Kurow as she pulled a dagger from her boot and drew it across her heand, she used the blood to 'shine' her skin. As the same battle frenzy aura covered her as Kojiro had seen the night before, she shouted the words towards the blade as she held her bloody hand towards it. "Har'dro veldri ussta belbol...goros usstan telanth sut" ((Earth hide my gift... till I speak release)). The same earthen magic that had grasped her earlier was felt in the room as the floor opened to swallow the sword leaving behind only a small mound of fresh turned dirt. Leering, she looked up and snarled as she began to rise to her feet as if, with plain dagger in her hand, she would continue the fight.
"Your weakness is your speed. If you are too slow to strike your enemy, what good is the weapon?" Kurows point was valid he didn't need to fight her to prove that. He was obviously just testing her fighting spirit. "Tenma shoryu kien" Suddenly a dozen identical clones of Kurow encircled elizabeth, all matched the same speed, same power. Different points of attack. Kojiro silently watched the battle, what was Kurow trying to prove?
Beth stood up, her body glowing like the moon. Almost ethereal like she moved as she removed the jacket then the harness. She used the blade in her hand to slice her tshirt from her body next. As the clones circled closer she smiled that smile Kojiro was used too. It was the one meant for warning. Sliding the bloodied palm between the skin and shirt, she smeared blood on her chest. Just the clones were close enough to attack, she tore the shirt free and cried out. "SUT!" ((RELEASE!)) The sword came hilt first from the ground as her skin seemed to explode with white light temporarily blinding everyone. She spun in an arc, not to kill, it was too fast and unprecise, but wide and fast enough to at least break the skin on each clone. If it worked, each would have the deadly wound.

The attack was useless. The clones where only physical projections they had nonphysical body. The move was meant only to distract, Kurow slipped under Beths attack as he began another series of hand signals before slamming his palms into Beth's arms.- "Five finger seal, banish." Kurow's evilly grin chuckled as Beth's arms became incapable of moment. The sword dropped to the ground as the clones vanished and the real Kurow was standing directly in front of her. ".....not bad.."
The growl from her throat was feral and deep. She felt her body tremble with rage, not fear. "Your weakness is you hide behind magic." She began to murmur once more hoping to open the floor to grab him as he had her a moment ago. If Kojiro wouldn't stop this, she would take Excalibur and leave. She wasn't brought here to be abused and had sworn a century ago never to be at man's mercy ever again. She stifled the crippling thought and began the disrupted incant once more.
Kurow picked up Excalibur and unbound Elizabeth from the Jutsu.- "Woman your arrogance is revolting, I could have easily killed you just now. Your sword isn't absolute, and you insult blacksmiths and Muramasas alike by saying such a thing." Kurow scoffed walking off back toward her throne. Kojiro shook his head- "It can't be helped, she merely doesn't know somethings, but she wasn't being insulting." Kurow scoffed- "No matter, tell me your favor. I'm sure if I refuse you would kill me where I stand little brother. So what is it you wish" Kojiro shook his head as he stood silently.-
Beth stormed up to Kurow and reached to grab the sword back. "I did not come back here to be insulted. I was not insulting anyone. I said what I said because I HIGHLY doubted you would be STUPID enough to just hand Excalibur to an amateur. In the hands of a skilled swordsman, the blade would make them more powerful." She graped the extended part of the handle.
Kurow grinned at the infuriated woman in mid sentence with Kojiro- "My dear, you ARE an amateur. He chuckled- "You didn't say the sword made you "more powerful" you said it granted "absolute" power. There is no such thing. You forget yourself fae. And stop raising your voice in my keep, its become irritable." Kojiro growled- "Both of you cool it." He stood up finally speaking- "ill just say it, I need my armor back." "Kurow stared at him in silence as if in deep thought.~
She paused mid reach as Kojiro moved and raised his voice. Perhaps her wording had been off, but how daft was this Kurow if he couldn't figure out what she had meant. She took a step back though wasn't willing to back down or be more than an arm's reach from the sword. Watching the two she wondered absently what Kurow meant earlier. Would Kojiro really best him in a duel? That was something she was willing to see. Though if she was wrong... she blinked but growled once more to Kurow. She wasn't ready to be slapped down so easily. It was a demonstration, after all. She hadn't wielded steel in combat in nearly 75 years. Body was in shape, but her skills, even she would sadly begrudge, sadly were not. Glancing to Sho, she made it clear that this was not over between them either.
"I'm not giving you that armor, you'll turn back into chaos." Kojiro smirked- "I forget myself. This is no longer a request. Give me my Ujimaki armor or you will die. Now." Kurow sighed- "Your not being rational, think about what happened last time!" "Kojiro wasn't trying to compromise, he began counting backwards from five- "five..." "Kurow shook his head- "stop this, ill give you plenty of other pieces of armor!" "four..." Kurow's negotiations weren't going too well.
Whatever was about to happen, Beth was sure Kojiro was in the right. Maybe it was bent loyalty, maybe it was her fondness she felt for the silent ninja warlord. As Kojiro hit three, she began to murmur. If necessary, she would raise the earth to grasp Kurow. She only hoped this did not end in bloodshed. She wasn't sure what Kurow meant by Sho 'turning back into chaos' but she would help if she could.
"Two.." Kojiro grabbed the ninja kind by the throat and walking across the room. His nails where digging into the mans skin as he grasped him- "Fine. Die." He squeezed and crushed the mans throat killing him instantly in a blood profusion from the eyes, ears, and nose.- "Kojiro threw the body on the ground as the ninjas stared in disbelief at there dead king. "Kojiro looked at beth and made a head movement as he exited the room "where leaving.."
Beth gasped slightly and startled as Kojiro killed the man. Whatever this armor was about, it was serious. She nodded and stepped forward to grabbed the dropped sword, picked her coat up from the middle of the room and jogged to catch up. Knowing better than to question him in front of the other ninja, she merely followed as she remembered a female should... two paces behind. But she stayed to his right where a bodyguard went instead of to the left where the woman normal walked. Some things she would never do. Strapping Excalibur back on, she carried the jacket as she followed.
The door wrenched open with a group of Ninja stand as a barricade- "Lord, we cannot let you have the armor. It will cause too much destruction, please reconsider" Kojiro narrowed his eyes- "Move or die." The ninja hesitated as they decided to move. "Kojiro shook his head- "I NEED that armor, damn!"
There was no word, but Kojiro would sense Beth stepping closer and dropping her jacket and drawing the sword whispering with menace. "Let him pass. I may not behead you, but have NO DOUBT you will see 'chaos'!" Her voice ended in a growl that made her eyes shine.
Kojiro sighed as he disappointedly turned to Elizabeth- "Babe, lets return to your home, I need to make a plan of action." His voice was stoic and sad, he was really upset it seemed. He hugged her bringing her close to him.- "I'm sorry that I didn't interfere with Kurow, I just.." He sighed, this was a side he rarely showed people.-
Her eyes stayed on the ninja as she looked over Sho's shoulder as he hugged her. She didn't let her glare waver as she whispered softly. "We will talk later, love... I live, therefore I can forgive." She released him and picked up her jacket. But her eyes never left the ninjas as Kojiro moved away from them. She backed up till they were a good 20 feet away before turning to follow him. He would have saved her from death. She was sure of that. The least she could do was try and do the same.
As they exited the building she flipped open her phone. "John, send the chopper. We are coming home." She closed it and finally sheathed the sword. Stepping closer to him now, with no one to impress, she whispered. "Limo or taxi love?"
Kojiro shook his head- "I don't care.." His thoughts where erratic that armor was part of his power, he needed it to return to his purest state. He held his forehead with a dark scowl on his face, eyes closed.- "Lets..just get home as soon as possible." The word home slipped, he must have truly become comfortable around him.
